PART 1:
As he entered ruhi's room, the sight infront of him made him little calm but his heart ached to see the sight his wife made. Ishita was sitting on the floor near the footrest of the bed with her eyes closed and was hugging the dresses and toys of ruhi. As he moved towards her his heart ached to see her tear-stained face. He knew she had been crying remembering ruhi and would have slept in the sitting position itself. He carefully lifted ishita in his arms and tucked sleeping form in ruhi's bed and moved out to get ready for his job after promising her that he will soon bring ishita's smile.
On the other side of the city, shagun had tough time in convincing ruhi to do modelling. Ruhi was very adamant that she doesn't want to do anything. Shagun was thinking of ways to convince her. Finally she gave up as she has one more day time to convince ruhi and made ruhi ready to school.
Before leaving the house,raman said his mom not to disturb ishita as she is sleeping in ruhi's room. Shagun and ruhi were on their way to ruhi's school in taxi and ruhi was expecting her ishima at the entrance of her school like yesterday, but to her disappointment her ishima was not there. She entered her class and the whole day went sadly for her. In the evening after her school also neither her ishima nor her papa came to see her. Her anger anger rose afterall she was RUHI RAMAN BHALLA, choti Punjabi-madrasi sherni and she accepted to shagun that she will do whatever her shagunmama wants to do. Shagun's happiness grew no bounds. She immediately called ashok and said that they ll be coming tomorrow for auditions.
Raman reached home in the late evening.
Raman "maa ishita kahan hai.. subah se kaam bahuth tha.. meine usse baath bi nahi kiya"
Toshiji "vo sorahe hai puttar.. tu aaja kaana kaalo"
Raman "ithne jaldi sogaye.. uske tabeeth tho teek haina"
Toshiji "puttar woh teek hai, bas subah se bahuth pareshaan thi bichari aur kaana bi acche se nahi kaaya tho meine bas usse thodi bahuth kiladiya aur neend ke goli diya hai puttar"
Raman "maa mein freshup hoke aatha hoon.. aap kaana lagayehai" saying so raman went to his room. He saw ishita sleeping peacefully, after freshening up raman went to have dinner. He listened to his mom and sister saying how ishita was crying the whole day thinking about ruhi. He felt very sorry for ishita, for outing ishita in such a trauma. After dinner wen he went back to his room, he heard ishita murmuring something to herself in her sleepy state, so he went close to her to hear what she was saying. Ishita was saying random things in her sleep
Ishita "ruhi ishima tumse bahuth pyaar karthe hai.. ishima aur papa aapse bahuth karthe... hum tume zaroor waapus leke aayenge ruhi.." "ruhi ishimase baath karo na.. ishima aapke bina nahi jeepavunge beta".. "koi mujhse pyaar nahi karthe.. aur jise mein pyaar karthe hoon voh log bi mujhe chodke chale jaayenge".. "pehle subbu.. ab ruhi.. raman aap bi chale jaavoge kya..".. "nahi mein raman se apne pyaar ke bare mein nahi bolunga..".. "ruhi.. ruhi.."
Hearing those words tears rolled down his cheeks, he understood the depth of ishita's hurt, the only medicine for ishita is ruhi, ishita can get better only if ruhi talks to her, but he knew ruhi will not come to see ishita but on seeing ishita's condition he couldn't stop himself from driving to mihir's house. He made up his mind to convince ruhi at any cost.
By the time he reached mihir's house it was very late. He rang the bell. Mihir opened the door and was shocked to see raman at this hour.
Mihir "bhai aap yahan.. sab teek haina"
Raman "kuch teek nahi hai mihir.. ruhi kahan hai.. mujhe usse baath karne hai"
Mihir "bhai ruhi aur shagun toh kabke sogaye hain.. kya huva.. bhabhi ko kuch huva kya"
Raman "abhi tak kuch nahi huva.. par mujhe ruhi se milna he hoga..ishita keliye".. "agar ruhi nahi aaye toh ishita ka tabeeth bahuth karab hoge.. mein usse utakar baath karunge.." saying so raman was about to go inside and wake up ruhi but mihir stopped him.
Mihir "bhai aap ander math jaaye.. vo log nahi aayenge"
Raman "kya.. kyun"
Mihir "bhai ruhi ne mana kiya hai.. shagun has warned me not to make u r ishita bhabhi meet ruhi "
Raman "tu paagal hai kya.. ruhi meri beti hai.. aur woh shagun kon hothi hai mujhe apne beti se milnese rokhne waali"
Mihir "bhai.. woh.. ruhi ne bi mana kiya hai"
Raman "kyaa..."
Raman was shocked to hear those words. He had never imagined that their one definition will end in ruhi hating ishita this much
Mihir "bhai ruhi ab bahuth gusse mein hai.. usne bi bola vusko kisise bhi nahi milna hai.. aur agar mein aise kuch bi khoshish karoonga, tho vo log yahan se chale jaayenge.."
Hearing that, the last string of his holding capacity broke off. He stumped into the cushion and cried out aloud. Mihir tried to console raman as he couldn't see his bhai in such vulnerable condition.
Mihir "bhai sambalo apne aapko.. sab teek hoga.."
Raman "kyat eek hoga mihir.. kaise teek hoga.." "yeh sab mere wajah se horaha hai.. ishita ka yeh haalath, ruhi ke naarazge aur adi ka condition yeh sab mere wajah se hai..".. "ek adi keliye mein ithne selfish hogaya hoon ki aaj mein ithne log ke dil thodne keliye thayar hogaya hoon"
Mihir "bhai fikar math karo"
Raman "mihir tume patha haina mein ruhise kithna pyaar karthe hoon.. shayad adise bi zyada.. par meri ruhiko ithne acche maa milgayena usse pyaar karnekeliye par mere adi ke paas aise maa nahi thi.. isliye meine ruhike pyaar ko for granted leliya"..
"jab mujhe patha chala adi suicide karne ko sochraha hai, tho mujhe kuch samaj nahi aaya..tab mujhe sirf adi nazar aaya.. mera pehla baccha nazar aaya.. vuskeliye mein ishita aur ruhi ke pyaar ko dokha denekeliye bi tayyar hogaye hoon"
"bale he ruhi ne mujhe baap honeka ehsaas diya, par iss duniya mein mujhe pehli baar adineye papa bolana.. apne aankho ke saamne mein kaise mera ek bacche ko marthe huye deksaktha hoon.." "aaj mein apne bteke pyaar mein ithne ande hogaya hoon.. na he mere masum bacchii ka rona sunaraha hai ya ishita ka dard dikhraha hai.."
"mein jaantha hoon ishita keliye ruhiko chodkar adi ko chunna kithna mushkil hai.. par phir bi usne adikeliye mereliye vuske jaan ko daav pe lagadiya.." "meine bahuth galat kiya mihir.. mein hamesha sirf adi ke baaremein socha.. par ek baar bi ruhi ke bare mein nahi socha.. iss faislese ruhi par kya asar hoga.. aur natija dekho.."
Mihir "bhai sab jaldi teek hoga.. aap math rona bhai.."
Raman "patha nahi kyunn bhagwan hamesha dharmsankat mein dalrahe hain.." "mujhe kuch samaj nahi aaraha hai kya karoon.." "ruhi ishita se ithne naaraz hai ke voh vuse milne keliye bi tayyar nahi hai.. aur ruhi ke bina voh jee nahi paayege.. vuska tabeeth ithna karab hai.. agar ishita keliye meine ruhi ko ghar waapus lekar gaya aur adi ko shagun ke paas chod diya toh adi marjayega.. aur inn theno ke bina mein nahi rehasaktha.." saying so raman closed his eyes and let the remaining tears roll down his cheeks.
He felt some feather like touches on his cheeks wiping his tears away. He opened his eyes and was shocked.. i hope i have did some justice with the characters..
