"Shaaaron, breakfast's ready. Be quick, " Mrs Nandini Raiprakash, Sharon's mother called her.

Sharon had overslept today because of sleeping late at night. She had Mr Bakshi's class, one of the strictest teacher in the college, to attend and she was late. This increased her tension to DEFCON ONE. She quickly tied her hair in a ponytail, grabbed her bag and rushed outside.

In order to hurry she was taking two steps at the time on the stairs.

"OUCH!"

"What happened, Sharon?" Nandini was worried by a loud thud on the staircase.

"Freak! My papers!" Sharon got up and started picking up the assignment sheets that had fallen down because of her hurry.

"Sharon! Again!!! When you know you can't run when you are nervous, why do you try it?" Nandini spoke hiding her smile.

"Why change a habit of a lifetime, mum" Sharon added irritated.

She grabbed her sandwich and rushed for the college.

In the college...

"Oh my God! Did you see him? I haven't seen him so early in the college. He looks like a Greek God."

The girls were drooling and talking in a hush hush manner while pointing to a boy in the canteen. The hottest boy of the college had come and that too so early, to the college. He wore a white T-shirt and Jeans and walked with utmost grace and smile to die for.

"Hi Swayam!" A girl called out.

Swayam stopped and looked in her direction.

"There! She'll be saying this for the last time now!" another girl hushed.

Swayam removed his glasses, glared at her and waved at her to dismiss off. The glare was enough for the girl to go away with tears in her eyes.

"How I wish he was a little approachable", the girls in the corners said.

"OH MY GOD! Swayam Shekhawat! Is that you??" A girl, of his age called and gave him a brief hug. She was thin, shorter than Swayam and Swayam's only female friend, Kria Ghai.

"Easy there, Kria", Swayam said coolly. Kria and Swayam were best friends since their first day in the college. While all the girls were afraid to approach Swayam, this did not apply to Kria.

"How come you, The Swayam Shekhawat, attending the first lecture?" Kria questioned suppressing her giggles.

" You know if it wasn't for Bakshi, I wouldn't have disturbed my beauty sleep at all." Swayam snapped back.

"Ahaaa! I remember you are short of attendance and he will not let you attend the Dance fest if you do not come for his lecture." Kria added.

"Exactly!"

"Hurry up or we'll be late, Swayam." saying this both of them walked towards their class.

"Shit! Shit! Only two minutes. I better run. God, please save your troubles towards me for later. " Sharon was muttering under her breath and taking two staircases at one time while rushing towards her classroom.

"BANG!"

The folder from her hand flew to the other side. The sheets of paper were flying everywhere. Sharon, afraid, was half standing in someone's arms, with her eyes closed.

Slowly, she opened her eyes and saw a pair or brown orbs looking down at her.

She knew this guy. Oh wait! He was the hottest guy of the college, or that is what her best friend Simmi always said and she was in his arms.

"Can't you look and walk?" Swayam glared at her and started speaking and broke the eye contact between them.

"I can say the same for you." Sharon snapped back nervously and adjusted herself back.

She saw all the papers and tears sprung in her eyes.

"I am so dead today."
She bent down and started collecting the papers fighting back her tears.

" Hey! Why are you crying?" Swayam looked at her, with a little concern.

"Go away. I can manage." Sharon quickly added.

"As if I care." Swayam added angrily and walked past her.

She collected all the papers and entered the class along with him. Hint of irritation crossed Swayam's face.

"Wow! Amazing! Kria, what the hell. You didn't reserve a seat for me."

I had no choice. You are paired with her, Swayam. " Kria pointed towards Sharon apologetically.

Sharon was shocked too for she knew Swayam never attended the classes. She was surely going to perform badly in the assignment, all thanks to her new partner, Swayam.
