Why no praise for Bombay Velvet trailer from Bollywood ?

Anurag Kashyap's Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar starrer Bombay Velvet is finally approaching its release date. It's trailer was launched this morning. But the industry reactions to the trailer have been far and few in between. What could be the reason?

Anurag Kashyap's most ambitious project, Bombay Velvet is almost here! Ranbir Kapoor as the street fighter Johnny Balraj, Anushka Sharma as the jazz singer Rosie Norohna and Karan Joharas the shrewd Kaizad Khambatta, look intriguing to us. While the audience reactions have been two extremes (some have absolutely loved it, while some have completely hated it) we are yet to see the industry reacting to Bombay Velvet's trailer.

Generally when a new film's trailer is released Twitter starts bustling with Bollywood celebs tweeting their two bits about what they think of the film. Mostly praise for the actors and makers for the trailer starts pouring in and with the word of mouth the audience' curiosity in the film is piqued. Such was not the case with Bombay Velvet's trailer.

Hardly any Bollywood celebrity has tweeted about what they thought of Ranbir- Anushka-KJo's new avatar. Looks like the film fraternity is too engrossed watching the India vs Bangladesh match to care about commenting on the BV trailer. Or maybe Bollywood's silence translates to dislike for Anurag Kashyap's trailer. One can only guess. What do you think could be the reason for industry's silence?
