When Gopi separated from her kids Meera was about 10 years and Vidya about 8 years. They were not that young that they do not recognize their mother after 10 years. Vidya could recognize Kokila's photo when she was much younger but she cannot recognize her mother when she is much older. ok the kids have not seen Gopi for 10 years but surely they have seen her photo.

They recognized their mother but Mera being a brat wants her to know who she considers her mother and it is not Gopi. Mera's problem stems from being abandon by Gopi she only spent a few months with Gopi before she went to jail.

Vidya was about to hug Gopi. She had touched her. But when she looked at Ahem & Meera, she controlled herself.

Vidya also told Meera that what is the use of being angry on her. Vidya never considered Mansi as her mom but she is suppressing her feelings because of Ahem & Meera. Even Ahem was about to hug her but his ego stopped him from doing that.
