Raji marched towards Nisha's room,who was leaning on the bed post and relaxing ...

"Akka,nee yeppadi ,appadi sollalaam..?"she asked with fuming face..

"Yeppadi sonnen?"Nisha asked coolly..

"Karthik sir ah pathi..gay adhu idhudhunnu kanraaviyaa?"she glared at her in contempt..

Nisha had a contemplating pause before asking to have a seat ,in a serious voice.."Raji inga ukaaru.."she made some room for Raji to sit on the bed..

Raji sat there reluctantly..

"Inga paaru..nee yevlo naalaa avarukkitta tutiton pora?"

"Nearly six months.."

"In these days,did he ever told u that u r beautiful or ur dress is pretty ,something like that?"

Her eyes widened in shock..

"chi..chi..,Karthik sir won't say such stuffs."she denied hurriedly..

"Sari adhai vidu..un kitta yennikaavadhu flirt panni irukaaraa?unakaaga special attention kuduthirukaaraa?"

Unfortunately all the answers were unanimously came out as " no.."

"See ..ippa neeye othukariyaa? he has no interest in women.."

"Appuram naan kettadhula yenna thappu irukku..?nee venaa avara close a watch pannu paaru yedhaavdhu clue kedaikkum.."

Nisha added fuel to her budding suspicion ..

Seeing her deep thinking face,she smirked inside.

"daiKarthik..yen kittaiyaa attitude kaatura?unnai rende naalla yen kaaladila vizha vaikaren paaru..."Nisha grudged in mind..

."Whatever u say I can't still believe it.."she said with almost cry face..

"Nee nambalai la?i will prove it to u..naan solra maathiri sei.."Nisha whispered something to her..and Raji's eyes fluttered and stomach churned and blood rushed to her heart at high speed..she felt dizzy..

Raji felt so uncomfortable in her new attire.

She was very nervous going in front of Karthik with this new makeover..

Karthik was already in the terrace..she was slowly stepping up the stairs..

She dragged down her shirt lightly as it was hardly reaching her knees..

And a sleeveless tank top wasn't helping either in soothing her frantically beating heart..

She had never worn such a revealing dress in her life..let alone wearing didn't even imagine such thing...but now she was clad in such attire insisted by Nisha..

"inga paaru Raji..unakku unmai therinjikanumnaa idhai panni dhaan aaganum vera vazhi illai..nee konjam kooda attractive aa illai naa yendha ambalai dhaan unnai paarpaan..?idhellam pannadhaa dhaan male ah attract panna mudiyum.."

Idhukkum avan kitta no reaction naa kandipaa avan adhu dhaan.."Nisha s words ringing in her mind..

"Why on earth I agreed to Nisha akka's plan?"she cursed her pea sized brain once again..

She bit her nail feeling fidgety ..as she reached the terrace ..Karthik's back was facing towards her. he was talking over phone..she approached him and stood silently with a thudding heart waiting for him to turn around ..

He was so much engaged in his talk and didn't even noticed her arrival..

"Dai,sorry daa machi..kochikaadha.."he was pleading over phone..with his unusual pleasing voice..

She never had seen him talking corny with anyone..

She frowned ..and eavesdropped the one sided convo keenly..forgetting the fact that "eavesdroppers never listen to any good things", trying to figure out who was on the other side..it was not his mother this time she was damn sure.who could be this..?

"Ok daa chellam sorry,next time sure.. pakka..yenna,yennai romba miss panriyaa?me too miss u daa.?"

To whom he was talking this much cozily..she wondered..

"Vishnu...yen thangam la..chellam la..pls..indha oru murai adjust pannikodaa..to make up for this, when I come back.i will give u a surprise ...ok"

"Vishnu vaaa?aambalai peru.."

"Shiva.. shiva.." she made a disgusting face..

In her bewildered state she didn't realized that she actually uttered those words loudly..

Hearing the voice from behind ..Karthik turned his gaze to her..her breath seized at that moment feeling his gaze on her..fingers crossed for his first reaction over her new look..but to her astonishment..his gaze was nonchalant, it was elusive to find what was running in his mind..

Hearing the sound behind ,I quickly turned around but seeing Raji,I casually averted my gaze from her..but the next moment It felt something weird about her..i looked back at her creasing my brows in confusion..and cuts the call saying bye to Vishnu..

Raji's face fell in disappointment..there was not a single reaction from him for her hours of efforts to look attractive..she pouted her lips in distress..

Karthik's mind screamed what the heck is this..

"Raji ...what the crap u r wearing..."he yelled at her..

Raji was already feeling very low and his yelling got a bad out of her..

"yaen nalla dhaane irukku.."she reverted back..

He inhaled sharply to keep his anger in check..

"See... this is a tuition class not any fashion parade..to hang around like this. ..go and change to something decent..and don't forget to wash the paint on ur face as well."

"Paint aa?oru mani neramaa ukkandhu panna make up paint aa?"she was pouting and kicked the floor in anger before leaving..

"What is cooking in her mind? why she was acting weirdly all of a sudden?"

Who will tell her she doesn't need all those external factors to emphasis her beauty..she is more pretty in the way she actually is..

After few minutes..she was back with her usual self..yet with a grumpy face..

"ippa yedhukku indha change over?"he asked with somewhat composed voice..

"Nisha akka dhaan sonnanga ponnunganna ippadi dhaan irukanum nu.."she said cautiously cuttings out the tail piece of "appao dhaan pasanga paarpaanga"

"Oh god again this Nisha...grrr."he gritted his teeth in wrath.. seriously he wanted to kill her...

"Raji,u no need to do all these things..indha crappy things laam illamale nee azhgu dhaan.."he said in a gentle voice..

But Raji was not fully convinced..

"neenga yennai samaadhana padutha solreenga..yenakku theriyum naan avlo azhagillai nu.."she said with grumpy face..

"yaaru sonnaa?nee romba azhagu dhaan..s"the speed in which he offended her startled himself..

"Poi..yen kitta appadi yenna azhagu irukku?"she asked in disbelief.. .

"Yenna azhagaa? not too tall or too short,perfect height ..thin dainty frame . .. flawless milky soft looking skin ,giving fantasies how it would feel under my touch.. curly dense hair wavering in air tempting me to run my hand over it...off mounted crescent on ur forehead, bow shaped dark brows,.., eyes fringed with long eye lashes fluttering my heart by the way of them flickering ... dark big eyes deeper than the ocean I am inclined to lost in the depth irrevocably ...pert cute nose,waiting for me to nuzzle with mine..rounded ,up tilted chin,smooth soft cheeks..my hands are dying to feel that softness under it..petal like pinkish lustrous lips..itching me to kiss them breathless.."

He caressed those parts with his gaze..while describing its beauty..

He jerked back to halt his wild imaginations..

"how come I am having such perverted thought..?"he was appalled yet thanked his stars for not letting him blurt out these craps aloud..

Though Raji was not shrewd enough to read his mind..something churned in her stomach seeing his intense look..her toes curled..and she bit her cheeks inside her mouth to control her blush..yet she could feel the heat up to her ear ..she was flushed fully..yet she didn't know what was these fluttering feelings all about..

Seriously that Nisha akka of Raji was getting on his nerves ..she was distracting the class daily doing all sorts of stunts..

Sending Raji for some work..or chatting with him some unwanted stuffs..

She was becoming so much pestering ..he was having hard time in keeping his temper at check..

Raji has no clue about her intentions and dancing to her tunes..made him even more outrageous..

"How dare she bossing over my Raji to do errands for her .."he was fuming inside..

He knew very well about her intensions that she was trying to get closer with him..by sending Raji away for some silly reasons..but he kept his distance from her..and time to time cutting her over poky nose mercilessly ..

But it seemed that she had a kinship with Gajini Mohammad ,that she was not going to give up that easily.. purposely ignoring his rejections .. that irks him even more..he was maintaining his cool only for Raji ..

If he hurt Nisha,he know Raji would feel bad..so he was tolerating her tortures for Raji's sake..

Now also she sent Raji to get her mobile as she has to do some urgent call..

Don't she has a thing called legs..?this stupid Raji too running like a fool as if she is a personal maid for this show off..

"It is ridiculous.."he gritted his teeth..

Nisha looked at him with calculative look..

All her plans to get closer to him were turned out to be utter flap due to his insensitive behavior..she never had met a tough guy like him.she tried every possible way to lure him but he was immune to all her attempts..

She wanted to take revenge on him for initially ignoring her..when he fall in her feet she would kick him off..that was her plan..but seemed nowhere going to be accomplished..in every direction she tried it turned out only banging on the wall..

She can't move an inch closer to him..as if he had built an invisible fence around him..no one could invade without his consent..

She tried every possible way one could use to seduce a man..she was being nice to him offering some chocolates..only gained his outright rejection..

She pestered Raji for some details about him..but she was of no use..as she doesn't have even his phone number too..

Tomorrow she was returning to home..before going she had decided to try her final weapon..of physical contact..what if he is a tough guy ,after all he is a man..no man can curb when a girl touches him. he should be fall off his feet provided that if he is a real man in the sense..she was very much confident on her last plan..

First she has to clear the disturbance Raji from here..she hid her cell phone inside her jeans pocket..and asked Raji to get that for her with her sugar coated voice..

As always that stupid Raji ,didn't denied her..

She looked at her target .he was immersed in the book in his hand..

She slowly moved forward...she stepped on the little stone on the floor and pretended that she tipped on him accidently.. clutching his shirt firmly...

Karthik was startled by the sudden dashing of Nisha...but soon he regained his senses and thought she was accidently banged on him..and supported Nisha holding her shoulder firmly to prevent them from falling..

Nisha smirked inside,as her plan working in her favour.. she encircled her arms around his neck pulling him towards her in the pretext of gaining balance..

Raji was not at all happy for the past two days..seriuosly she was despised the presence of Nisha akka now..though she was nave to understand the crappy plans of nisha,she was not that dumb to be ignorant to her activities..she thought Nisha akka had fallen for Karthik sir..and tried to catch some private time with him..

She had full faith in Karthik's arrogance so there was not much to worry about ..but still the nagging feeling in her heart didn't tent to disappear..

She averse the sight of Nisha was sitting close to Karthik on sofa,while she went to fetch coffee for him..

Though Karthik sir ,was not paying any heed to her ,she felt a tinge of pain that she couldn't evade..

She had an illusion of herself being distanced from Karthik sir..which ripped her heart apart..

She never knew she was harboring this much strong feelings for him...by chance if he fall for Nisha,then she was sure it was going to be her end..

She wished her stars that he won't fall for Nisha's charm..

Her mind pondering over these thoughts while her hands and eyes wandering in search of the mobile.. As it seemed finding her phone was elusive ..she gave up and went upstairs to ask to her itself...

While she was about to enter the terrace her legs frozen and she was stupefied by the sight ,Nisha akka in Karthik's arms..

Thanks to her tear glands efficient working skill, Her eyes pooled atone blurred the sight from her vision..her heart would have burst into pieces if she had seen that few more seconds longer...

She turned and stepped back immediately and stood behind the door of the terrace..

Her heart stopped functioning, breath choked ,nose flared and the heated up tears trailed down their way on her cheek continuously...her mind went blank ...she was not in a state of thinking anything clearly..her legs were giving up they were no more in a position to bear her weight as if it turned as jellies ...while she was at the verge of breaking down ,there comes the harsh words of Karthik penetrated her numbed ear drums..and saved her from collapsing down..bringing life back to her..

Karthik at first thought it was an accident,but when he had seen her victorious smile,though it was for a fleeting moment,it didn't escaped his eagle eyes..it hits him hard that it was all drama, enraged by her unscrupulous act, he pushed her away with a jerk..causing her to have a bad fall hurting her ass..

She yelped in pain...yet throwing an infuriated look at him..

"What the heck...r u doing man..?"

He raised his hand to stop her and gave her menacing look..

"u shameless woman?..did u think ur beautiful face will cover up ur ugly mind..?how could u stoop this low...i have tolerated u only for Raji..but u have gone beyond the limit..i can't even stand ur sight for a second more.. I will ask Raji to come to my home for tuition ,until u clear up this place and gone forever for good.." he had casted a disgusting look before stomped off from there...

Raji was almost confirmed that her dreams had been ruined..and her future has no meaning...until his angry voice came as an oasis to flourish her deserted heart..

She was standing behind the slightly ajar door of the terrace..and peeped in to see the condition out there..

But Before she could see anything ,the door opened with a bang..and she was hurled back with the force that she had been hit by the door..

"aahhh..."

She shrieked and was in air,about to stumble back..stretching out her hands to get any grip to avoid the fatal fall..

Karthik reacted too quickly and caught hold of her outstretched hand within a blink of an eye.and pulled her towards him before she tumbled on the stairs..

Karthik could feel her heavy breath ,withering body, tightly shut eyes in fright ,anticipated a bone breaking fall..

Seeing her condition ,his heart stopped for a moment ..With a shift tug, he imprisoned her trembling form into the warmth of his embrace..more than to her he wanted to ensure himself that she was safe, the sight of her at the edge of tumbling down the stairs agitated his whole existence..

He hugged her so close to him, covering his arms over her protectively..and not wanting to let go off her forever.. She gripped his collar for support and buried her face at the crook of his neck,clutching him tightly in fear...

Raji ,was too much startled to think what just happened to her..when she was about to fall she thought it was her end but when she had realized that she was safe and sound in the arms of Karthik..an unknown peace engulfed her..she could feel the racing heart beat of him..his possessive hold and the heaved breath everything screamed out how important she was to him..

She felt as if her heart had grown two wings and flying in the air..His warm hug and pounding heart beat..strangely soothed her tensed nerves..

Her happiness knew no boundaries...

After it seemed an hour but actually few seconds ..He parted her slightly yet keeping her in his hold... running his restless eyes all over her..as if confirming her well being..his face was so close to her that his breath fell on her face, passing some jitters deep inside her..she looked at his handsome face in daze..

Looking straight down at her he asked "R u alright?"in an concern filled voice..

"Better than ever.." her mind answered..but she was not sure how much she can rely on her throat at that moment time..so she nodded cutely..for a yes..

He sighed heavily in relief..and pecked her forehead ever so delicately ..

"Paarthu po.."he said softly and climbed down the stairs swiftly and disappeared into the house..

She stared at his retreating back with an incredible look on her face..

Raji watched the two laughing out loud drawing the attention of the whole canteen and had many heads turned towards them ..they were near the counter and ordering for their lunch it seemed..

"What's in there to laugh like fools.."Raji thought in annoyance ..

She loathed the sight of that Angel standing near Karthik and talking to him with so much of ease, which she could only dream of..

For the past two days,she was seeing them together hanging around..that gave her an illusion of seeing their figures all over the office, laughing at her miserable plight..she had nothing to do about that rather than fuming inside..though she had already known from Vishnu that Angel and Karthik were college friends...it doesn't help in any way to calm down her burning nerves..

She recalled her chitchat with Vishnu..while she was shooting daggers at them as they were walking past her cubicle together..

"yenna Raji kaadhula irundhu pugai varra maadhiri irukku..?" Vishnu laughed in his trademark style dragging a chair near and sitting on it comfortably ..

"kadupethaadheenga Vishnu...yaaru andha dumbo...?Karthik sir mela attai maadhiri ottikittu..?"

She asked in annoyance unveiled voice..

"Avanga close aa pazhagaradha paarthaa theriyalaiyaa..idhellaamaa keppanga Raji..i thought u were intelligent..but it seems u r not as bright as u look.."Vishnu teased her in amused voice..

Raji's eyes dilated in shock..

"Yenna solreenga vishnuuu...?"she almost screamed with stupefied face..

Vishnu burst out in laughter seeing the million dollar worth expression on her face..

"Raji..don't panic..be cool..Karthik um Angel um college friends..avlo dhaan adhukku mela vera onnum illai..ungallukku Karthik ah pathi therium la..avan yevlo reserved type nu.ponnunga naa patthadi thalli ninnu dhaan pesuvaan..but yenakku therinji avan friend aa irukara orae ponnu Angel dhaan.."

"Vishnu neenga Karthik sir oda college mate aa?"

"Illai naanga rendu perum LKG la irundhu twelfth std varaikkum onnaa dhaan padichom..but college pogum bodhu avanoda mark ku IIT Hyderabad la kedaichadhu..namma mark ku ,local Iyanaar institute of technology la dhaan kedaichadhu.."he said making sulky face..that brought a chuckle sto Raji..

Vishnu looked at her concernedly.. he didn't know why,but he liked that girl..it might be because he didn't has any siblings, in his childhood he used to yearn for a cute little sister..if he was supposed to have one, he wish that should be like Raji..very innocent at heart, cute and pretty..pleasing personality ,carrying the aura of euphoria ,transmitting her energy and makes the place lively wherever she goes...

In a short span of time ,he had developed a brotherly feeling towards her and started liking her as his own sister..he wished her to be happy always..detesting her sad ,dull face..

While thinking over their convo Raji realized what Vishnu had said..

"Oh god, actually he was consoling me ..?am I showing my emotions that openly?"She was shocked..

"All because of this devil..."she stared at the Angel ..

In her mission of burning that Angel through her bare eyes..she didn't noticed the other person seated beside her and waved his hand in front of her..

"Hi, hellooo..anybody home..?"

She snapped back to reality ..

"Hi Vicky .."she said in weary voice..

"yenna kodumai sir idhu..indha surathe illadha varaverpukku appuram maanam ullavan yevanaavadhu inga irupaanaa?"

"Aanaa nee innum inga irukiye.."Raji s eyes gleamed in mockery ..

"Great insult..sari friend aa poitta adhanaala mannikaren.."

"Valichaalum..valikkadha maadiriye scene ah poduviye...sari ippa yenna venum unakku?"

"Naan yaen vandhennu appuram solren..but naan vandhappa nee "I am so thinking deeply "mode la irundhiye yenna vishayam anything serious?"under mask of his funny talk she observed his hidden concern..that melted her heart..

Raji looked at him in thoughtfully ..and then her eyes shined naughtily ..

"Adhu onnum illai Vicky,sambandhame illama yaar yaaro vandhu yennoda personal vishyathula mookkai nulaikaraanga..i was thinking of the ways to cut off those poking nose.."she said raising her eyebrows sarcastically..

Vickey,covered his nose immediately...

"Ammaa thaaye aala vidu.. inimel unkitta yedhuveme kekka maaten..i can't imagine the male version of Surpanagai of me.."he acted as if he was terrified..and both burst into laughter..

Raji felt that all the stress clutching her heart had been relived after having a nice heartfelt laughter. that laughter serves a very good remedy for venting out the mounted up tension on her mind.. ...

It feels nice laughing without any worries..why life can't be so simple as this smile..

She sighed heavily...

Karthik heard that laughter cutting through the air and hitting his ears like an arrow..he was in his way to find a table for placing the tray containing their lunch..

Luck was not in his favour as always..the only table unoccupied was the one besides Raji's..having no other choice ,he cursed his fate again..and sat there, making sure he was not facing Raji..

KR settled in a position as their backs facing each other..Raji felt his closeness and became conscious of his presence..

"Raji.."Vicky's amused voice grabbed her attention..she looked at him in questioning eyes..

"Saturday yenna plan?

"yenna plan naa?"

"yengayaavadhu veliya poriyaa?"

"illai yen kekura?"

"unakku vera yedhuvum plan illainaa ..shall we go for a movie..?"

Raji was skeptical about this offer..and avoided answering directly..

"yenna dhideernnu..of all the people why it's me?" though it was not intentional she can't avoid the tinge of suspicion in her voice..

"Oru nalla padam vandhirukku..just thought of watching it with u..idhukku yen ivlo yosikara..matnee show dhaan koopiduren..night show illai..ivlo cheap aa dhaan nee yennai pathi nenaichittu irukiyaa?"

He asked with hurtful voice..

"Iyoo Vicky naan ippadi thaniyaa laam yaar koodavum ponadhillai..adhaan oru maadhiri irundhadhu..naan unnai thappaa laam nenaikalai.."she explained hastily..

He didn't seem convinced..yet..

"It's ok, leave it ..I shouldn't have asked u at the first place.".he was dejected ..

Before she say anything ,they heard a chirred voice of Angel..

"Karthik sari nu sollu pls.."

"No Angel.. I am not interested.."

"Yaen ippadi sanyaasi maadhiri iruka?veliya poi paaru un vayasula yellarum life ah yeppadi enjoy panraangannu.."

"I am happy with the way I am now .."

"yenakaaga sari nu sollu Karthik..u know how excited I am..romba naalaiku appuram namma college friends ah meet panna porom..adhuvum Mahabalipuram maadhiri oru location la..chance illai ..nee kandipaa varanum.."

"Nee venaa po..yennai yen compel panra?i don't like parties.."

"No.. I won't buy any of ur excuses..Saturday morning 10 o clock ku ready aa irupen..u pick me up from my place ..GRT resort la friends ah meet panrom.night party attend pannittu ..kalaila 10 manikellam kelambarom..idhaan agenda..u must come ..avlo dhaan..decision has been made and the discussion is over.."

He shook his head in disbelief at her audacity..

Raji's whole body burned with jealously..

"Attending party,adhukkum mela Night stay with that dumbo.."

Anger seeps through every nerve of her..she clenched her fist in fury..

"Vicky ..i will give it a try this time..let's go for movie "she said with determined voice.
