Why have Deepika, Sonam, even Pari failed to do a NH10 film like Anu? - Page 6

As for the thread, she deserves a lot of credit for deciding to produce this film. She comes from a middle class background and doesn't have any film background yet choose such a risky project to invest her money in. Not to mention film might not have happened had she not agreed to produce it.

1st of all, I'm very happy that Anu is getting rave reviews as producer and actresses.

NH10 is a very brave movie because its genre, women oriented theme

There are very few takers in India

It was a bold move by Anu to produce the movie in the 1st place.

Actually Anu was the most appreciated debutantes (with parineeti) out of all other new actresses

But lately her movies were all the same though she was directed by all big directors

Rough patch happens for everyone specially if she is an outsider and its not easy for an outsider to get cream role in bollywood even if she had a dream debut. But now I guess she is back on track. She is a very good actress and clearly deserve all the accolades

As far as DP is concerned, she has improved like no other and she has taken most risk out of all the actresses.

She has experimented a lot though her risks haven't paid of like Anus till date.

Tough I would consider Ramleela as a risky movie but that's not a popular choice so lets park that argument for the time

Still she has FFF(which is even riskier than NH10), Piku in her kitty which is commendable and she has time to experiment more

Pari- good actresses but has some limitation in terms of how she looks. Needs to reinvent herself like Vidya. Still has time

Sonam - She is trying but not on the basis of her talent but her family connection. So she is out of league

Producing a movie is not everyone's cup of tea. So I'm not expecting that from all the actresses. As long as they concentrate on their craft I'm happy

good to see Anu taking risks early in her career...

I still don't get the hype around Aushka taking a risk etc... She's not the first actress who took risk and were good in it. Karisma, Rani, Priyanka, Vidya had done more good roles and movies as heroine than Anushka the only difference is Anushka produced her own movie.

For Anushka it was risky because she hasn't really had a decent movie of her own in a long time. Matru Ki Bijlee was in 2013 and tanked. She had PK yes, but with Aamir. Her other releases have not come out yet and may not work. She needs to prove still that she can pull crowds on her own merit, especially since there are other actresses out there who are doing good work too.

She's not the only one producing, but she's the one who had a lot at stake. If NH10 tanked at the BO, she could have easily started going the Imran Khan way I think.

It's very common for actors to promote their films on TV shows. Ekta Kapoor always gets the actors in the films she produces to do promotions on her TV shows. Sidharth and Shraddha promoted Ek Villain on that same show. It's beyond lame...

Ofcourse she is doing awesome now but can she keep it up for 3/4 years and not get forgotten. That is the question 😃

^faridoon asked anushka that does she feel pressure when ppl say it's going to be her year. She said she doesnt care about all that...she said even if she has one release in a year n it's good then she'll be happy.
