An old joke.
Boys- Ladkiyaa bas ki terha hoti hai, ek gayi to doosri aayegi.

Ladkiya- ladke rikshawale hai, ek ko bulao, dus aa jate hai.

I think a lot of this is just finding reasons for their unhealthy minds which not everyone has.
Blame game for their actions because they don't want to own up to it. So they will blame it on society, victim, films etc.

What makes them different from all the males who have watched Bollywood films and don't act like the stalker heroes because it's fictional.

There are a lot of guys out there aswell.

It's like saying if a guy watches Bollywood films he has gay fantasies.
Many Attractive men, muscles, tight clothes, incredibly good dancerrs. Many scenes like that.

They wouldn't because not all men are homosexually inclined.

So what makes them think if men see Bollywood films they will Feel compelled to stalk women.

Not all men are desperate, sex crazed, or perverted and can't take no for a no.

Also when did criminal minds become a spokesperson for a gender.

Isn't the very fact they are criminals is because They don't have sane minds and represent a gender in society.

Sorry to intrude...
But your Display Pic reminds me of that serial Pratigya on star plus which was abt Stalking I guess...
A college going girl Pratigya is continuously stalked by a gunda.. However later she marries him and also falls in love with him 😕
Looking at the storyline, I thought she would retaliate, fight back (of course she did in the beginning for a while), but later she goes on to fall in love with the same guy who stalked her and threatened her entire family until they married her to him
Our serials are no less than BW movies, which has far wider reach...

It IS stalking. Calling it anything else is an excuse to make it seem like harmless fun.

And some men rape.

Are you saying we should never address issues because some people are bound to behave differently?

People will be different and unique, but that is within a normal spread. From guys who are bold and can go up to anyone to ask them out to painfully shy ones who wait forever before they say something.

Men are not animals. Men are rational and considerate beings who genuinely do try to do the right thing. Men don't want to hurt anyone or make them uncomfortable. We need to stop conditioning men to become creepy stalkers or lecherous perverts. We need to stop making excuses for bad harmful behavior as cute, romantic or just different.

Stalking means unwanted attention , following n harassment n even poaching into private space... most examples given in the article in fact has women who 'wants' it.. n is ok with it... the definition n meaning of the word won't change even if it is presented in the wrong context

Exactly my point ... 'some' men rape ... not all... same with stalking

Men stalk all over the world , n not just who watches bollywood films...r u saying that Russian American Japanese all rape n stalk bec of bollywood

When did I say that issues must not be addressed. ?..it must, but don't generalise n cook up silly excuses for grave issues

MKAP was one of the widely acknowledged n critically praised serial for showing burning social issues
It's still considered as the flagship show of star plus... they didn't show pratigya falling in love with the stalker instead she fell in love with Krishna only when his ego was destroyed n his arrogance that I am the king of the world bit dust n she was convinced of his love.
