The Pakistan angle is unfolding slowly. They are taking their time with the backstory, and establishing Major Shaad's story. Unhurried, is the word I choose for the Pakistan story...

Sanam is being chased all over town by rioters out for her blood. They thought she killed their army officer and would be silly enough to run helter skelter all over town like that. Such is the mentality of an angry mob. All senseless anger directed at a purpose, without reason.

Major Shaad comes investigating about his best friend's activities and found he had disappeared 3 days ago. And he finds villagers carting away his body in the streets.

He mourns his friend. I won't lie. It felt a little wooden. But those touching flashbacks and phone call with the deceased Liaqat's wife was very touching. Poor man was by his side over the quest to catch Shashi Kapoor and died bringing him proof that he was in fact alive.

<I think... I mean with rioters and bloodthirsty hooligans running around burning everything, who shot a bullet in this man? *wink*>

As he walks away, a terrified runaway girl grabs his shoulder, and collapses. He catches her just in time. She is beautiful and innocent looking, does not look like she's from around here...

She grabs his shoulder for support and the world seems to stand still... for him

<Nope... not a romantic encounter... Just a random guy catching a woman falling in front of him... But the BG music and the backdrop and the slow-mo add to the scene beautifully... Makes you think the writers are trying hard for us to swallow this...>

The angry mob descends upon them and he protects her. He tries to reason with them, but the fools can't be reasoned with. So he tells them angrily who she is to him...

She is everything to me...!

She is my Jannat...

She is my wife...!

<Nice voice command Mr. Varun... I was impressed with the steel in your voice...>

Sanam is shocked with that bit of information... I am someone's wife...

She passes out and he carries her to safety. Symbolisms galore: Stuck bangles (darn those sticky things, don't seem to stick to my husband's shirt!)and slow motion.

<Jo Bheji Thi Duaa... Keep praying Aahil... she will come back to you...>

Far away, Aahil yearns for her. He is still waiting for her return. He is beside himself with worry and sadness and he holds her bangles in his hands.

As Shaad unties her bangle from his shirt, her bangles fall out of Aahil's hands, as he weeps.

Aahil be strong !!

She will be back to you...

She will be Jannat for someone for a while... but she can never forget you forever...

Precap: Shaad asks her who she is, and she replies simply, "Goodness where have we got this forgetting disease from? Didn't you just say I was your wife, and my name is Jannat? And Shaad blinks confused...

Next episode: Aahil finds false clues... 12.3.2015

I thought today's episode was very well done, and while I said yesterday's felt a bit dull, today I think it picked back up.

I am genuinely curious and into the story and wondering how this they will show everything going forward.

I have a long explanation on why simply talking about wanting to watch jealousy is detrimental to SaHil. I will get to that later.

Also, I know people were half joking about Sashi Kapoor being Aahil's humshakal, I hope not. Geez... I hope it's some other person not tied in.

To tell you the truth, I felt nothing, watched both the episodes, New guy is just ok, he surely has a good screen presence, but acting department , long way to go, plus 0 chemistry with Surbhi, I am kind of bored even after these action pack episodes, anyway let's hope it gets better, miss KV a lot, I want my Sahil back.. not interested in this new love story..

It was well done KK, I agree. .. felt like a pilot episode of a new show...

Pakistan scenes are done in Kolkata apparently (according to SJ's insta posts) and they look good.

DOP is having fun outdoors I think. And it looks really good. ..

they even spent time with that touching scene with Liaqat and also Wazirah . Does give you the feel that Major Shaad is going to stick around for a long while.

That joke about KV being Shashi Kapoor. .. we'll I must admit it would be awesome to see KV do the awesome baddie. But that would undermine Aahil as a character and that's a no from me...

I think that's just the way his (Shaad's) character's motivation lies towards and eventual end ... I hope.

I know, right.😆 That's what worries me and why I didn't dismiss it as preposterous. I was observing to see if it matched AmG, but person is too tall (though that doesn't matter in hindi soaps).

Yeah, I saw the kolkatta post on her Insta.. nice job by the crew, really.

Shaad wasn't aware that Sanam has lost memory. But when they asked what's his relationship with her..I am wondering why he didn't say that she is his sister/friend. How he can say that to some random girl who could be someone's wife, mother.

I will ignore that since it was required for the story. I assume that those people already knew Shaad and his family. That is why he said she is his wife.

Today's episode was good. Beautiful BG music, setup, cinematography, everything was perfect. Varun is good looking. His acting was good especially when he gets call from his friend. Also, when he hugged Liyaqat dead body. But somehow, he reminded of Rahat.

I have been waiting for Season 3 and wanted to see Sahil separation. I felt so bad for both Sanam and Aahil. Aahil in the last scene, his tears just breaks me. KVB was so natural in that scene. Loved that song and picturisation. Based on the precap, I am thinking Sanam will try to pursue her husband and may be she will be confused why he is not close to her. Hope, we are not revisiting AaHer story here where Aahil was trying to be romantic with Sehar thinking she is Sanam, here Sanam tries to be romantic with Shaad thinking he is her husband.

Two things I noticed today...Any symbolism?

When Shaad was holding Sanam, they were focusing on green holy thing - I am thinking that means Aahil's prayer answered and Sanam is safe.
bangels slipping from Aahil's hand and bangle tangling on Shaad badge. - thinking Sanam is slowing going away from Aahil because they are separated. I hope, it is for temporary separation.

Trying to be optimistic...Hahaha!

Anyway, it is painful for me to watch Sanam with another man. It is going to be complicated for Aahil. If she thinks, Shaad is her husband, may be she will hate Aahil if he tries to approach her.

It will be not be easy for Aahil to win back his love. This is what all we wanted to see, right? ...SaHil Junoon.

Cool as can be post Sagey. =)

i like this Shaad guy. He is uneven at times, but when he's got his dialogues, he delivers them very well so def worth the investment. His character has engrossing potential. I appreciate them bringing back shayari into Qubool Hai - it's nice to have that poetic feel back in the show. Reminds me of QH1, back when CVs really infused everything they could at the beginning of the show to reel viewers to watch. QH2 - well we all know what happened there.

Overall interested in the Pakistan story and how it will unfold. Don't mind them slowing it down for his intro.

I think delving into his back story is a good idea, it only will make the overall story interesting as far as the people that Shaad's past/present will bring along in the story.

He brings the interesting element to SaHil love story, but I think he will bring overall interest with his army BG and quest to stop Shashi Kapoor. I don't think they killed off Seher so I think he and Seher would make for an interesting combination.

Of course all in good time, not in a rush to see all of that happen now. I liked his BG music, really glad they gave him something new, it only affirms to viewers he is here to stay.

It also seems like CVs won't sidetrack him the way they did to Rehan. I realized that Rehan was the only one who never really got the intro scenes that Ayan or Haider were given. Coincidence? 🤔

As for Aahil...I don't know what they are going to do to him now or after the leap, but whatever they do - I wish that it only make him strong and independent. Aahil was always so dependent whether it be his ammi or Sanam. Not that you shouldn't depend on family or your life partner, but he was always too much. He needs to center himself and become the man Sanam always knew he could be. Yes, some angst would be nice, but I would like that maturity to creep into him. Don't just want to him to be desperate, that's all.

Anyhow, whatever season 3 is about or will be about, it has started off to a great start. Somehow the intrigue of S3 is enough for me to be okay with SaHil being apart.

@KK - don't know about jealousy, but I would like some junoony angst. KV pulls that look off so well...*sigh* If I had a Top 10 KV looks that could kill list that look would be in Top 3 for sure. The jealousy track was nice for those initial moments, but I don't think I enjoyed those as much as the ones prior to the nikkah.

The place where they are shooting is beautiful.

Hope they continue to give us good quality stuff, and hope Gul gives 100% to this show coz this goose lays the golden egg but if ya don't feed it right it gonna give crap-
