Chapter: 19

Raman, Ishita, Adi and Ruhi were leaving for their outing Toshjii puts black marks on all of them to ward off evil eyes. They go to the mall first they go to the kids' movie as it was Ruhi choice Raman sits with Adi then Ruhi and Ishita sits next to her. Raman touches Ishita hand behind the kids seat initially Ishita tries to pull her hand out finally she gives up and they join their hands behind the kid's seat. Raman talks to Adi in a slow voice saying that he is happy he came along with them and proud of him as he had made a good decision before the movie starts Adi feels good hearing Raman praising him and moves one step ahead in accepting Raman.

Afterwards they go to an Italian restaurant by Adi choice as he likes Italian food. Raman and Ruhi order vegetarian dishes to please Ishita Adi also joins with them and orders vegetarian dishes. Ruhi wants to be feed by parents and she demands it off them while they compete to feed Ruhi Ishita notices Adi being quiet. Adi likes seeing how Ruhi's parents are taking care of her he also craves for the same kind of attention Ruhi is getting but is shy to ask. Ishita realizes that Adi is missing this fun so she picks up the food and tells to Raman you go feed my kid I will feed our son so saying she takes the food to Adi. Adi at first is shy then takes the food from her hand then Raman follows suit they end up feeding the kids once the kids are done they were going to eat but Ruhi stops them and says to them that kids will now feed them so the kids had fun feeding the parents admits lots of laughter. Raman brushes Ishita hands on the pretext of asking her to pass some things she blushes with his every touch he likes to see this color on her face.

Then they go for shopping by Raman choice he buys some things for everyone at home. They have a fashion parade there for Raman. Ishita, Ruhi and Adi come dressed in various clothes for him to see he picks a set for each one. When the kids are not near he goes to Ishita and says to her that these are all fine but he wants to see her in a different state hearing this Ishita turns beet red on the spot Raman laughs at her at tells her to control her emotions or she has to give explanation to our dadima Ishita shyly turns from him to go see Ruhi. Adi stands in front of designer expensive sari thinking about his mom Raman sees this and understands that he wants to buy the sari for his mom he sees Ishita she nods and smiles at Raman. Raman goes near Adi do you want to buy this sari Adi is unsure finally he says yes he wants to buy two saris Raman is surprised but buys them for him. The other sari Adi picked up was a yellow sari with black border simple looking but it was his favorite color. Ruhi chooses a full length party wear black dress for Ishita. Raman buys a beautiful platinum earrings, bracelet, chain and watch which goes with the dress Ruhi bought for Ishita. Ishita gets a nice royal blue formal shirt for Raman because she always feels that he looks handsome in blue and that is also his favorite color she picks up a pink color frock for Ruhi, shirt and pant for Adi and Shravu.

Finally they go to ice-cream shop by Ishita choice. Ishita orders black currant for her and Ruhi mango for Adi and kulfi for Raman. Adi is surprised that she knows his favorite flavor even his mother does not know it. They have fun time at the ice-cream shop. Raman starts his usual nok-jhok with her teasing her for eating weird flavor ice-cream he asks her to come back to earth to live with normal mortals and don't spoil my kid as well Ishita replies"kuchi bhi" she is my kid as well Raman smiles thinking to himself these are the two words I wanted to hear from you.

When they come outside it is raining Ishita just like a child runs in the rain with open hands to welcome the rain. Raman is surprised to see Ishita behaving like this he is holding the kids to prevent them from running behind her. He shouts at her pagal madrasan come back you will fall sick. Ishita is happy to see the rain because for her rain always washes the dirt that surrounds one soul and purifies them. Her sari sticks to her Raman libido reaches new height seeing her like this he is trying to controls his desires and shouts at her to come back to the shelter. Ishita realizing that Raman is getting angrier by the minute comes towards him. He shouts at her what happened to her brain? Has she lost her marbles to go running like this in rain? Raman is frustrated at himself for not being able to control his desires seeing her like this and worried she might fall sick if she is still in the wet clothes.

They reach home Raman sends her to change first. He takes the kids inside then comes out to take all the gifts. Everyone is excited to hear how the family trip went. The kids talk about what they did and how much fun they had.

Raman comes inside with the gifts Ruhi and Adi give the gift to everyone. Adi gives the designer sari to his mom she is happy that he bought such an expensive gift for her. Raman was trying to give the other sari to Adi but Adi went near Raman and said in a quiet voice he will take it later. Raman was surprised by his strange behavior. Then Ruhi shows the dress she brought for her Ishimaa and tells everyone how good she looked while modeling for them in the shop seeing the dress Shagun asks Adi did you get a dress for me too. Adi replies no Shagun gets disappointed and jealous that she only got a sari but Ishita got way more than her. Shagun tells Adi that next time when you purchase something for me get me a dress instead of a sari. Adi happiness get dimmed hearing these words from his mom.

Raman and Adi take the remaining things to Raman rooms Ishita comes out of the bathroom after changing. Adi takes the yellow color sari which he bought and gives it to Ishita. Raman and Ishita are both surprised by his gesture he says to her that he wanted to say sorry and tells to her if she accepts the gift then he will think that she has forgiven him. He also says to her that I know this is not as expensive as the one I choose for mama but this is my favorite color.

Ishita takes him a hug and says to him with crying eyes that he does not have to do this as there is nothing to forgive as it was not his mistake but he was not guided properly. She tells him no matter what you will be always my son even though you think me as your aunty. She tells to him that it is not the price which counts but the thought which went in getting it. She says to him since there is nothing to forgive I am not going to give back my present as I really like it and I am going to wear it tomorrow. Adi smiles hearing this and thinks once again about the contrast between both his mother and Ishita aunty and how nice she is. She is even going to wear it for me.

Raman seeing both of them talking is sad to realize that his son has grown up way beyond his years due to manipulations of adults that surrounded him. He is silently praying to god to give back his sons childhood to him. He then realizes Adi is still hesitating to tell something he goes near him puts a hand on his shoulder and turns him and asks what is you want to tell after lot of hesitation he calls Raman to the side and tells him in a low voice that he need a favor from him that he has to tell to Ishita aunty that she should not tell anyone that she got the sari from him Raman asks why Adi says mama will feel bad so I don't want her to know Raman then tells him to tell Ishita that and she will understand you. Adi says he doesn't want to do that as well because it will hurt Ishita aunty feelings. Raman agrees to the condition and is also glad as he feels his son is emerging from Shaugun's Adi. Adi after hearing from Raman is very happy gives him a hug rushes to Ishita to give her a hug and runs from the room showing glimpses of his childhood coming back.

Ishita asks Raman what was this all about he tells her what Adi told him Ishita tells him that is typical kid's behavior. Raman says to her Adi is changing because of you and she tells him no he is changing because of you before he never got time to spend with you but slowly he is seeing your side of the coin and started thinking for himself so the change you see him are because of you and this family. Raman is overwhelmed by her declarations he takes her in a hug and kisses her forehead without thinking Ishita is feeling shy because this is the first time he has kissed her she moves a little bit closer when the call comes from downstairs asking them to come down as the Iyers were leaving they break apart and move downstairs.

Ishita sees everyone out and cleans the kitchen and gets upstairs to sleep. Raman is already on his side of bed thinking will she come to bed with him as he had kissed her without thinking about the consequences he was thinking whether she will have enough trust on him to sleep on the same bed with him when he sees Ishtia coming towards the room he pretends to be asleep as he doesn't want to put himself in awkward position of answering to her queries about the kiss. Ishita enters into the room very quietly as she is still thinking about the kiss and the effect it had on her she moves towards Raman side of the bed to see him sleeping she lifts her hand to touch his forehead but stops in the last minute as she does not want to disturb his sleep and goes to her side of bed to sleep. Raman was eagerly waiting for her to touch him but was disappointed she did not follow through but was glad at least she was sleeping on the same bed with him.

In the middle of the night Ishita woke up screaming.
