also sorry for the late update- got a shock and tensed seeing 14 pages after last update - thats never happened in my post except when KR friends decided to peep in and talk about taani😃

Gang minus taani sitting here there - guys trying to hide their grins, girls faces
apologetic and looking foolish. swayam looked irritated and angry with all of
them. Sharon looking like she doesnt care.
"i cant believe tum logon ne aisa kiya ! " swayam to everyone in general, looked
at nil/vicky. They shook their heads grinning still and pointed to the girls
rey also turned to the girls who all looked this way and that
" but why? Problem tho mujhse thi na tum logon ko us bichari se kya problem..."
"bichari! Who s bichari? " sharon flared up," cmon rey! Shes so...stuck up "
" phir bhi sharon dekho kya hua ab!" swayam
"oh cmon swayam, hamara intention sirf uski dress spoil karna tha but..."
"actually plan bhi nahin tha..bas hogaya"
"uska bad luck types kharab tha ki wo slip hogayi" aashi unconcerned
Laugh again- Swayam frowned worried
" just hope she s fine and aur koi problem na ho..." rey being his usual self
making the girls frown more
"exactly , I mean dimaakh kahaan rehtha hain tum logon ka...kuch serious
hojaatha tho...aur haso...yeh taani kahaan ???"
They were all quiet for a second and then sharon," i guess hes right! Galthi
hamari thi"
"maybe, par rey ko usko support karne ki zaroorat kya hain ?" simmi still bugged
"haan usko utaake types kyun leke jaana tha medical room tak?" aashi
rey sitting between vicky and amar looked at her accusing look," me not expecting
this from you rey. Tumse tho mera babu hi achha hain, usne pandhra din mein
ek nayi girlfriend nahin doonda tha... "neha pitched in
Vicky who was grinning at rey , looked touched immeditely - the guys looked at
vicky once and then at rey wondering if he would respond to her direct comment
- and looking like they actually agreed with her.
Rey turned to see same look on rinni s face and then sharon - she stood with her
hands across her chest
"Wo alag baat hain..." swayam began," and its not like sab ka ek hi date rahaan
hain hamesha ki tum log... " sharon frowned throwinh him a look of do u mean
me? He was looking at the others
"yeh tu kaisa bhai hain!" vicky commented. Swayams face changed to sudden
anger but holding it back, he said
"its his personal life guys ...im just saying give him space..."
"no swayam, its all right. Tum logone mera itna ... saath diya hain. I understand
but seriously guys...this is being childish...and ( turning directly to neha) it was
just a date..."
"it wasnt nice seeing taani upset rey!" simmi
rey getting up from his place, standing facing them running his hands in his hair
frustratedly
" oh really simmi? Yeh sudden taani ke upar itna love kyun! " rey retorted irritation
in his voice evident," in case you girls dont remember , let me remind you - taani
ne mujhe reject kiya hain! Maine usko nahin...And she didnt look upset to me-
khush tho thi wo- new look, new friends and all "
The girls frowned and started talking all at once ,"thats different rey- she was just
trying to be ..." sharon
Rey gave a laugh suddenly and shot at them " seriously? Ab tum log mujhe mat
batao taani ke feelings ke baare mein! I know them well enough" shaking his head
he moved away his voice raising a bit hurt and upset at the same time, " i mean
there have been enough times jab tum logon ki aur taani ki banthi nahin thi! Aur
ab suddenly three days you girls have been acting like main ek villian hoon! "
the girls exchanged glances looking confused but thinking he was the villian
actually , nil and vicky gave eachother half glances saying ok here he goes- with
his anger!
Silence for a moment and then rinni- " humne taani ke saath kya kiya?"
"haan humne tho uske saath baath tak nahin ki " bharat
" exactly...why are you even bothered then? " and again shaking his head said
with a sigh,"yaar...chodo yeh sab ..."Swayam stared at rey understanding what
rey was trying to say
They were insistent "but rey thats not done...chodo ka kya matlab hain. Taani
hamari dost hain just like you"
He sarcastically again," oh yes! Taani tumhaari dost hain- tho tum log mere saath
kyun ho(voice higher than required) I mean, i dont see you , any of you with her
anytime ...galthi meri hain phir bhi tumlog mere saath ho...uske saath nahin..."
he threw up his hands
All their faces changed , for a second they didnt look at one another rather
stared at him
he running his hands in his hair ," all im saying is... I just meant...yeh sudden show
of support uskeliye is ...difficult to digest . Im sure she wouldnt even be expecting
it or realised it "and stopped looking away, his thoughts with taani but when
he looked back at their confused faces, he sighed - you couldnt force friendship
on someone - and then as he looked around- what was he telling them? He was
the worst when it came to hurting taani. Atleast they were worried now and
stopped at swayam. Swayam s guilty face brought back him saying- i dont even
know how shes managed!
Sharon "you are right rey...wo expect nahin karthi humse kuch bhi- no interest
no friendship, no help- kuch nahin "
"aur wo akeli types hi rehthi hain mostly" aashi uncomfortable as if she realised
it just then
"but rey we did try to speak to her par she wouldnt ..." simmi
" its not that we dont care about her " sharon...the guys nodded
"im not blaming you girls..." he interrupted quickly, them smiled wryly,
" mujhe especially kisiko bhi blame karne ka haq nahin hain. And taani ka jo bhi ..
odd behavior hain wo definitely meri wajah se hain..its my mistake"
Neha in her own thoughts " phir bhi... mera break up jab hua tha, without you
all main kabhi bhi apne aap ko handle nahin karpaathi" vicky looked at her
touched that she still remembered, "pata nahin wo kaise manage karthi hain
akeli "
Reys face became dull from being irritated with the gang - swayam looked guilty
but didnt speak ...the guys looked at all of them one by one and Vicky got up
went put a hand around rey and was about to say something when rinni in all
serious voice
" i know guys! Socho! Kaise manage kiya hoga usne - hairstyling, streaking, dress,
accessories! Upar se shes GS as well ...I mean sharon main tho akeli ek dress bhi
lene jaathi hoon tho depression hojaatha hain"
Everyone stared at her in pindrop silence for a moment and then broke into peels
of laughter as she said seriously - no its really difficult, really....and the guys fell
one over another laughing.
Swayam also smiled and\ he looked at rey whose face was smiling but eyes were
again beginning to look lost. Vicky put his hand up for silence and as all of them
slowly reduced their laughing spree and rinni looked sincerely confused being
hugged by simmi and sharon.
" so guys aaj ka lessonjust like the rest of us taani ko humein kabhi akele nahin
chodna chahiye!"
"especially shopping aur parlour ke liye" nil added as the guys started laughing
again
And vicky moving to rey , hand around his shoulder," and as its obvious ki rey
abhi bhi interested hain..."
" no " rey interrupted almost rudely and then gave vicky a look, exchanged glances
with the other guys and said," i mean...you guys thanks but - just let it be. Mujhe
bhi aur taani ko bhi. Jo hamaare beech hain, nahin hain- its our problem ...and its
over...as of now ...im not ...interested in anyone"
They looked at him knowing fully well he was lying
andturning with attempt at smile to neha said," aur wo ...kya naam hain uska..that
girl ...wo meri girl friend nahin hain"
Before they could respond, there was loud sound of the door being pushed and
taani walked in hurriedly and said ,"accha hua ki aap sab yahin ho. Now please
mujhe sach sach batao ki ...kya tum logon ne us sonali aur new girl ko puposely
giraaya?"
She asked breathlessly and looked first at vicky nil- and then at the girls.
"kya taani? How can you think we do something like that? Aur wo bhi ragging"
shaking their heads
She smiled," kyunki mujhe experience hain aapke ragging ka" their smiles wiped
off and sharon with a frown said," but taani that was ages ago aur...'
"nahin sharon bhab...sharon. I know i know. i wanted to be sure ki yeh sab kuch
purposely nahin hua"
They all went quiet for a second while she stared at them one by one...swayam
spoke up-" no taani it wasnt...i mean it was accidental"
The girls nodded together and as rinni looked confused, simmi pulled her behind
herself.
Taani s worried face broke into a relieved smile as she said," good warna VP sir
bohot strict action lene waale the ragging ke against and i was worried sab ke
liye" and turned to rey," rey aap mere saath chalo" he raised his eyebrows?
" Sonali ne kahaan ki wo VP sir ko complaint karne waali hain ki aap log ragging
karrahe the us new girl ka- uska sprain hua hain by the way- and she also slipped
when she was trying to help that girl out"
The girls all got angry and started talking together - thats a lie! Humein tho pata
bhi nahin tha us new girl ke baare mein! She pulled that poor kid down!
Taani nodded and holding up her hands said," VP sir abhi kuch dher mein
aanewaale hain ...she has a sprain mostly ...so rey..."
"so?" rey the rest looked at one another and sharon asked," sonali has a sprain?"
Taani nodded turning to her," looks like that...Sonali ne refuse kiya doctor ke
paas jaaneke liye kyunki...hesitatingly) ...she ...sounded really angry...aap sab
se...and turning to rey with slight hesitation ) aap se bhi...i think aap uske date
the na aur aap usse aise chod kar aagaye...wo akeli bhi rehthi hain , she has no
one here..."and didnt meet his eye .rey wondered if she didnt feel bad at all!
"arre utaake tho leke gaye the" aashi
"bas date hain , boyfriend nahin" neha grumbled
"exactly, where are her friends?" simmi
" friends hain par...rey...shes pretty upset aur unko doctor ke paas bhi jaana
hain. she ll listen to you ...aap unse baat karoge tho unka gussa kam hojaayega ...
warna VP sir..." looking at her watch
"rey taani s right. You shouldnt have left her alone ...tu jaa..." swayam patted
rey on the shoulder as the rest of the made faces at him with bharat muttering
to amar - kaisa bhai hain?!
Sharon protested " thats like blackmail"
Rey still looking at taani as taani looked at everyone else, nodded and moved .
All of them started moving with him when taani said," nahin aap log abhi ghar jao
. Sab yahin rahenge tho suspicious lagega"
"thanks taani" simmi and then the girls all nodded
Taani shook her head smiled and giving rey a come look- both of them walked out.
After a moment aashi," yeh ulta types hogaya nahin?"
"hum tho yeh chahthe the ki rey us sonali ke saath na jaaye aur ab ..."
"he s stuck with her"
"thats why ...humein soch samajkar ..."
"swayam it really was an accident" sharon gritted her teeth as swayam looked
unconvinced
"waise bhi abhi ke liye i think rey needs his space. We shouldnt interfere with
their ..."
all of them walked out ignoring his words..he shook his head and followed them
as problem kya haina, tum girls ko yeh sab pranks karna aatha nahin hain' and
they all started arguing and walking out
SS- a little behind the rest of them- sharon to swayam - who were you refering to jab
boyfriends ke baat chal rahin thi? Swayam looked confused (and they had an arguement blah blah ----sorry side story for me, not interested)

Outside the medical room corridor
Rey and taani walking quickly to the room, taani to rey at the door- "aap usse
baat karlo..." got a call- VP sir- she was about to recieve it when rey said in his
straight forward way ," taani" she looked at him," you ...nice dress,achhi lagrahin
ho "
Taani s hand held the mobile tighter as it rang and rang and a blush spread over
her cheeks immediately and she met his eyes - brightening at her blush and
suddenly showing all his affection. For a fraction of a second the world around
her disappeared as she could only sense his approval, his love and then the
mobile rang loudly again- she looked at it mumbled VP sir
he walked into talk sense with sonali . She shook her head to clear it , her face
smiling and then suddenly thought- nice dress matlab, hairstyle achha nahin
hain? Aurmain pooch bhi nahin sakthi- and looked towards where he went and
then recieved the call

Few days later- rey convinced sonali it was accident, as her ankle was sprained he took care
for two three days. Taani was busy with elections. Gang tried to be nice , she didnt really
notice as she was busy...She took three days off.
Reys place- swayam sitting on the couch head leaning on the headrest , eyes
closed. Rey walked in with two mugs, placed them on table and hit his head.
"yeh sharon ke saath kya serious fight hain?"
"abhi tak tho nahin" picking up his mug," jab hoga shayad bataadoonga tumhe "
both grinned.And sipped chai quietly," but tu bataa...sonali teek hain ab?"
"haan sonali , she was really ... because she had neglected the ankle for first few
hours...pain tha, fever and ...everything. Aur actually koi hain nahin uske help
ke liye...her friend was also sick but now shes fine "
swayam looked at him with slight disapproval. Rey drank from his mug and
" ab kya tum bhi ..."
"no rey, you know what you are doing. haan ...mujhe yeh laga ki shayad you are trying to make taani jealous "
rey shook his head and said " it wont work with her swyam...she ll...just clam up more ! koi plan nahin hain. im just being nice to a collegemate who needed help swayam"
" as long as you know what you want ! " swayam smiled and then leaning
back again chnaged the topic " tumhe pata hain ki VP sir kal kyun bhulaye humein?" rey shook his
head," no one knows...aur ab taani GS bhi nahin hain tho kisiko pooch bhi nahin
sakthe" and after a second," ajeeb lagtha hain koi aur GS, AGS , CS !" and smiled
more broadly
Rey smiled with him," taani ko tho aur ajeeb lagrahaan hoga. Waise bhi wo zyaada
hi busy rehthi thi aur ab koi kaam nahin hoga, koi responsibility nahin hogi " he
said mentally with taani.swayam didnt disturb his thoughts," waise wo hain kahaan
I havent seen her since the time she went for elections duties" his voice normal
though the expectant look in his eyes showed how much he had wanted to know
Swayam looked at him, stopped then hesitatingly said
" she was applying for some universities , some stuff here there... Mujhe correctly
nahin pata i guess she needed time uskeliye. Kal se aajayegi college"
Rey nodded as his heart leapt up a bit- he would atleast get to see her after five
days!
