I agree in the last episode , gautam was very convincing in the romantic scene and maya needs to elevate her part

I also saw the episode of TMLS and man his chemistry with his co star was Hawt! I loved it. I thought he looked amazing with her. So it was not just with the other actress that I admired him. I have not seen him in anything other than SC and TMLS. Oh and NB Season 5, and his chemistry with Wahi was of the charts too! :)

I personally did not find the TMLS that good. I watched it only for Gautam and he nailed the role of Tarun. He's also acted in a spooky show called "ssh koi hai" with Divyanka Tripathy as his co star. They were so good and those were the days when she used to act and not over act😆

He had great chemistry with both co stars and the scenes between his former character and his love interest was just smokin, even without much physical interaction at the start. That first scene when he touches her hand as they both reach for the Kite string? Poetry in motion. The Kamar Bhand scene? Ooh...La...La, is all I can say!

☺️ They were one of a kind, really...

But here.. there is something missing. I am actually inclined to think it is the Maya character. She looks smitten, but the love is not coming through for me the way I want to see it. Rudra looks smitten too, and he is now giving her that "look" and I have to admit, I am starting to buy it from his end now. He was acting all Love sick, and giving her longing looks. I admit I am a Gauti fan, but I still would have said so if I thought he was not doing a good job, but I think he is!

It's just that Maya is coming across a little bit too much of a "Victim" at the moment for me to connect to her fully. I preferred the Maya we saw at the start! But I love those old fashioned love stories with old fashioned courting scenes. So the Mela scenes were very cute and I liked them! (Modern westerner years for old fashioned Eastern style love!). LOL. But I agree, Maya needs to elevate more for us to really connect with this love story!

I am giving PR a long rope because, I feel she's the potential to be so much better than some of her over acting seniors on TV. Even now, she is not unbearable to watch like some of her award winning seniors and that's a huge plus. Secondly, she's just 2 shows (excluding MK) and a movie old and that's not a huge amount of experience she has in her CV to boast.

MrDarcyFan, what a lovely moniker! Saahil in your DP 😳

I guess what I've been trying to say here is that even if Rudra pins Maya against the wall and plants a hundred kisses on her lips, I still wouldn't feel the chemistry. There is no picture-perfect-ness with this couple, unfortunately. But you may never know😳

Maya as a stand alone character is able to convince me. She'd been living under the roof of conniving kinsmen doubling as god men in a deeply patriarchial set up throughout her growing up years. Remember how the thuggish uncle, now deceased, commanded her even before she came to know about their true colors? She will not obviously be the same when she was introduced. It's only the basis of love blossoming between Rudra and Maya which hasn't been given the due importance in the story. Of course the love confession dialogues were superb, but but but...

@Veritaserum

Thanks for the response to my comment. I think PR's acting is adequate as well. But for some reason the chemistry we wish to see is not coming through!

Yes I am a fan of Mr Darcy who to me is the epitome of a romantic hero. I first read a abridged version of Pride and Prejudice when I was 9 years old. My grandma gifted it to me. From that day onwards, I loved Mr Darcy, and my love has remained steadfast from childhood to teens to adulthood. Of course my personal favorite Mr Darcy is Colin Firth from the BBC series, closely followed by Mathew McFayden from the Keira Knightly version.

But my DP, yes, SAHIL. I really like them, and have now made a connect with them. Even though I thought ASYA was unbeatable at the start. (Maybe they are). My personal favorites when it comes to Indian TV couples are similar to yours. ARSHI, SAMUD, ASYA and now SAHIL. (Cant speak for Ishra as I have never followed that show). I also like VEEBA, even though I am not that into that show anymore. My first Indian TV show was IPKKND.

I see your DP is Brett Lee? Cricket fan ha? Same here. I am actually from down under and even went to one of the World cup games recently. It was nice to meet a fellow cricket fan. Looking forward to many more interesting discussion about MK in the future!
