All of the Stars [AbhiGya Drabble/OS]

Her face is illuminated by the moonlight. Her high cheek bones, sparkling eyes, full lips- they're all lit up.

He can't help but stare at her from the corner of his eye, but whenever she turns to him, he darts his eyes away. It's pathetic really. He's a rockstar, but around her, he can't help but act like a schoolboy with some crush.

Ever since he found her, his heart hadn't stopped beating out of his chest. The sight of her with him again felt so right, and he never wanted to lose it again.

He never wanted to lose her again.

He can see her head shift slightly to the side, and he immediately snaps his head back to the sky.

After a couple of seconds, he slyly turns to her, ready to catch her looking at him so he could tease her. But the words don't come out.

Damn it.

His eyes bore into her, and he can see her lips part in confusion, questions falling to her lips but no sound coming out.

He gulps and looks away again. Damn those eyes. Reflecting the moon like that, who could possibly concentrate at that sight?

His mind flashes back to Karva Chauth. Their Karva Chauth. He saw the moon in her eyes and he nearly broke down from shock because no, he wasn't supposed to fall in love with her or be destined to be with her or have anything to do with her anymore.

He remembers his anger that he directed at her for...for...why was it that he was always so angry at her again? Every reason seemed so insensible and far away now.

He wanted it to be this way forever.

Just the two of them, far away from the rest of the world. Far away from the lies and deceptions constantly thrown on them. He knows it's impossible though. And as always, she is what comforts him, even if she doesn't know it.

It's okay that they can't stay under the night sky like this forever. He knows that when he goes back, he can look at her all he wants. Because she's more beautiful than all of the stars.
