Niti Taylor of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan is very proud to be part of an industry, where woman are given full respect. " Girl power rocks! Actresses, producers, director's and channel executives etc work shoulder to shoulder along with their male colleagues while delivering world class content on a 24*7 basis . But what separates them from their male folk is the fact that they have to run their houses as well. After a hard day at work, they go back to cook for their families and also take their children's lessons. Indian woman can multi- task very well. Here I will add that single girl's like me are lucky that we don't have to do what married woman do. But yes one day I am sure even we will willingly take the burden. "
When asked about the type of content that is aired on desi soap she says," you can't call it non -existent, Sadly such regressive stuff exists and our scripts writers take inspiration from real life incidents only."
What changes would you recommend to content? " hope one day our daily soaps are able to show independent woman. I don't like the fact that a woman has to have a man to be considered complete. Single working woman should not be looked down up or be taken as easy prey. Success or failure should be only on merit. You never have a man carrying his relationship status on his sleeve??"
Last but not the least Niti bats for woman's security in the light of the recent Nirbahya case. " Hope our industry also takes steps like call centers to ensure woman and girls who work the graveyard shift reach home safely. This is very important as many of our sets are located in isolated places. More then us it is the hair dressers and other technical staff who use public transport to get home ."
