chingari koi bhadke toh saavan usse bujhaye

Saavan jo agan lagaye, usse koun bujhaye

Today was all apne hue paraye

The very people whose support they sought

Put up a barrier which for now seems unsurmountable

Maya refuses to acknowledge Rudra,

he has been wanting nothing more except to be with her

But she gave him no reassurance

Dadi forbids shiva from coming to the Kund

And he who has been completely obsessed by the quest for Amrit

Finds he cannot disobey her

And he is so near yet so far

And last mein balivesh who is seething and burning in badle ke aag

Is stopped by Dalivesh

Who wants him to exercise restraint

Baliveshs own father won't let him avenge his brothers death!

On the other hand,

Maya unknowingly comes close to rudras ma,

The two women know they share a common pain

That of waiting to meet someone

Katherine and shiva cat and muse game has started !

Of course today he was the chooha and she the billi

But the tables are turning.

So shiva is not the jag Rakshak

Who will protect amrit and return it to its secret hiding place

He wants amrit for 'fulfilling his mothers wish of healing people'

There is more to Shivas mission - ...

Agree sab kuch thoda thoda theek tha.

What is the back story of the Kund's and Brahm Nishta Panth destruction? Until that comes out we'll not know if Shivanand is right or wrong in his religion+science belief.

From Daadi's talk it seems like Shiva is in the wrong. That in his obsession of Amrit etc.. he neglected his family...Dekhte hain.

Naanu talking about parivar and rishte... khud hi door ko thod kar phenka, ab manzil paane ke liye door wapas chahiye. Atleast Balivesh showed his true self.

I remembered something- first time Rudra met Nanu, Nanu asks Maya to get that photo of Rudra and his parents from a drawer. Maya sees that photo na. She doesn't recognize Rudra's mom? Chalo koi nahin

Shiva saying that to Daadi felt more like a bribe which she outright refused. Similar thing was shown when Prof gives the machine to Shiva. Shiva is not happy about it but Prof tells him 'how will you get the Amrit if we don't find Saraswati river'. Shiva was taken in by this. Yes, there is more to this mission.

Great episode.

I liked puppy-faced Rudra in front of Maya. The scene had lot of pathos. If only Payal's acting was better, it would have reached greater heights.

What is Maya gaining by saying she doesn't know Rudra?

I liked that scene at Saraswatikund a lot too. Ma-beta duels are the most-awaited ones these days.

Shivanand is surely becoming larger than life. He is just awesome. Ofcourse he has his faults. Does he think about his wife? Dadi told.him that she is missing. No worries? And of course he doesn't seem to care much about what Rudra is going through. His past, his tragedies and all. When he realizes that Rudra is stuck in his past, he doesn't make an effort to ease that pain.

The way he said he has lot of memories attached to the kund and they way he pleaded with his mom was really poignant.

Rudra's mom-- she is sweet and loving.

Aparna, shiva is not the kind to give false reassurances

He is a man who says what he thinks- straight, so I don't think it was a way to appease her

Prof of course is capable of deviousness, so may have said it to keep Shiva by his side

Shiva is honest to the core and I think will say what he believes is true...

@Arshics another beautiful post and beautiful analysis. You know what I felt yesterday. Apart from what is shown. First Rudra and Maya. Yes she told he doesn't know him, while he wants to be with her.

Symbolically it meant, illusion or Maya is refusing to acknowledge Rudra and trying to keep him away from her. But then he wants to get more and more into the illusion.

Nanu and Balivesh- Relations needs to be kept. The Mala created by Nanu and the mala broken by Balivesh. Symbolically it meant the illusion of relation needs to be kept, and used at convenience.

In other words show all the acting of taking care etc etc.. till that person is useful for you. Moment it ceases to be useful throw it out. In many cases that is the reality of relations including blood relations. It is just an illusion if you don't understand it. Just remember the mother thrown in the banks of Ganga after taking the property.

Dadi and Shiva- What can show more metaphorically a war between religion and science. Religion based on faith and Science based on proof. When Dadi asks, Shiva to stay away from Saraswati Kund it is also showing the way the religious leaders want to keep science out of the beliefs. Again Maya. I mean religious leaders always want people to believe what they want them to believe without questioning. And science going for direct confrontation doesn't help the matters either. What scientists forget is the basic fact. Even for a scientific theory first an assumption is required and it is proving that assumption right or wrong paves the way for scientific breakthroughs.

So if the Maya of religion needs to be broken first you have to trust something there and then start questioning. Answers will emerge and this time with more clarity and with proof you can question those religious people who are propagating false notions in the name of religion. But completely disowning religion doesn't help the cause.

Shivanand was really emotional when he said those lines.

Shivanand feels for many things. But he also knows the importance and enormity of the mission and that is above other things.

When he first comes to the ruined haveli, he thinks a lot about his past. The first time he visits the kund, he gets emotional and promises himself that he will revive it and revive the panth. We all saw that.

Even yesterday, he said it with lot of sincerity that he wants to revive the kind and help Kalpvasis.
