"I must be the first on-screen son to have three moms"

Naman Shaw aka Nakul from Kyunki has the rare distinction of having three on-screen mothers - Damini (Reva Babbar) her biological mother, Ganga (Shilpa Sakhlani) she adopted him and now Tripti (Suvarna Jha).

"I think I must be the first on-screen son who has three mothers. My friends always tease me about it but it's ok as it is just a serial," says an amused Naman.
How does his real mom react to it? "(Laughs) She hardly bothers about it even though she is a regular watcher of Kyunki."

And who is his favourite amongst his three on-screen moms. "I have a good rapport with Tripti."

The tale of three moms

Nakul was born to Damini and Gautam (Damini gave birth to twin boys Nakul and Mayank). Around the same time, a pregnant Ganga lost her child in an accident. Doctors said it would be difficult for her to be a mother again. Damini then decided to give one of her babies to Ganga. Though Gautam was against the idea, Tulsi supported Damini. Gautam, who had always disliked Saahil (Ganga's husband), began to hate him even more.

Unfortunately, it turned out that Mayank was suffering from a congenital disease and would be mentally challenged so Ganga became Nakul's mother. Later on though Saahil left Ganga and married Tripti and becomes Nakul's third mother!
