AGs Everest gave many beautiful messages which are very much in need for today's youth both in professional life as well as personal life. Through the life of 3 protoganists Anjali, Aakash and Arjun AG has managed to bring out the conflicts of current day youth. It discussed about gender inequalities prevalent, but at the same time showed through 2 couples how love can be the transformational force.
It showed what is needed for success in a relationship. It showed it is not the door mat bahu or damsel in distress in get approval by men. There are men who prefers woman who have an identity of her own. Both Aakash and Arjun chooses their life partners who are educated, accomplished and want a say in their life. A girl don't have to compromise her dream just because you wont get a guy to marry you. Who will marry her. This is something you still hear if a girl wants to opt out for something unconventional. Everest strongly negated this statement. A girl can aspire to become what she want and yet get the man of her dreams too. A man who understands her. Now I will list down other inspiring messages from this show.
True Love can never be a weakness, it is the greatest strength you can have- If you look at the show from the beginning Rungta is manipulating Aakash's feelings for his family. His emotions are kept against him. We always hear that it is not good for a man to have emotional attachement. If he has either he is called Mama's boy or Joru Ka Ghulam. But isn't there a thin line between becoming overly attached to having the right set of emotions towards your family. Look at Aakash. He started his journey for his parent's house, then Shika Maa's surgery and finally completes the journey for the sake of his love Anjali. In other words his love and concern for his family takes this man to the summit of the highest peak on earth. And if something stops him from taking that serpeech and replying back to Rungta very strongly don't try to intimidate him it is the same love and trust he has on his family. If he had taken the serpeech no one would have known. But he would know that by doing this he is betraying the trust his parents, Shika Maa, Gaurav and Anjali kept on him. And even if Rungta blasts him or try to expose him he is so sure that his loved ones will stand by his decision only. Yes your relations is what that gives you courage to speak out. Cultivate them.
A good marriage is the one which both partner's lose something to gain something: Well can a journey of a new married couple be showed more metaphorically. Well I don't think it can be. The journey of Aakash and Anjali to the summit of Everest is like the journey of every young married couple from the courting days till they find their own success formula of marriage. When the journey started Aakash and Anjali had a team. It is always like that. In the ups and down there will be friends, families surrounding you, giving you advice, supporting you. But as we see when the climb goes up each of these goes away. it is true in marriage life also. As the relation progresses previously held experience cannot be taken as such. The couple has to take their own learnings from the people and create their own template. Every successful marriage is a fresh template and when every couple succeeds in creating that template everyone surrounding them is happy because though the template is that of the couple they should never forget the support they received that enabled them to create that template. So what is the template. A successful template is the one in which a man knows when to hold hand and when to take lead and in the one in which a woman knows when to support and when to protect. Now can anyone tell whether Anjali was the reason for Aakash to summit or Aakash was the reason Anjali summited. A successful marriage is like that. You cant separate the partners in it. Success is always with both of them. There is no place for ego and superiority complex. Trust and understanding is needed.
Accept the past to create a better future: Arjun was always running away from past. It was because of that running around Rungta was able to manipulate him. It was the fear of his past coming in front of him that made Arjun do things which his conscience was not completely agreeing to. It was again the running away from past and the understanding love is a weakness make him a hard nut on surface , but emotionally vulnerable from inside. The moment someone makes him accept that past he changes, his conscience emerges and he is able to let out all those emotions locked up inside. And it marks a new beginning for the man
Prove yourself and demand your rights: A girl who takes the step to prove herself in front of her father. If you have to prove someone's thought wrong mere words does not help. Because actions speak louder than words. Instead of wallowing in self pity go out to fight it out with the person who is denying you, your rights. You need not be disrespectful to do it. But you have every right to show your dissent. Putting a pallu over your head does not define sanskaar nor listening to unending demands of MIL and co. Real sanskaar is proving your worth and once you prove it, the other party will give you the decision making choice. The way with Anjali. Once she conquered Everest, it was obvious that she will get the right to have a say in who will be her life partner. It was that confidence that made Anjali accept Aakash's love on top of Everest. And she was not proven wrong. Jagat wholeheartedly approved his daughter's choice. Which father wont, for the daughter who completed his unfulfilled dream.
There were many more which I had put in many of my earlier posts. But all in all I would like to thank AG and team for creating this beautiful tale on television. It is after a very long time I found something in TV which I can recommend whole heartedly to my teenage cousins and nieces to draw out inspiring messages.

great post shruthi , as usual..
agree totally... this story was all about love, self-belief, ambition, determination , sacrifice...

I absolutely loved reena 's character, she is one modern , practical girl, who is a solid support to Arjun. we need such people in a relationship to make it work..

Everest is also about making a Choice- be it rewarding or disappointing. All of them makes a choice and stands by it at the end.. Beautiful...

i am so asd... this show was one of the best in recent times... Will miss it terribly..

Wish the leads come back with a show soon...

@bright-star I am not sad. Reason I started watching Everest after knowing that it is a finite series and knew it will end in 4 months. And it ended well too. I mean a show for me should leave a good taste. The memories should linger just like some of the old DD shows. I don't think an infinite long running show can evoke such sweet memories. Everest didn't had a rushed ending too. It was done perfectly. Every scene. And the whole show has so much positivity about it which is so rare in TV these days.
I wish more finite shows like this come, with a definite story and feel good characters. TV needs it badly. There is so much negativity in our drawing rooms because of long drawn serials filled with vamps, villians, doormats and dumb people.

^ Awesome post by u, Shruthi! 🤗
Everest is an awesome show in many ways! ⭐️ 👍🏼
Everest shows us a way how to lead lives.. In Col. Abhiyankar's words .. - "Everest Hame Jeena Sikhata Hain" .. 👏

Arjun, Skhiha ma's sister, Jagat S Rawat.. they have all changed for the better.. ⭐️👏

Aakash Anjali scenes - proposal, ILU and kiss scene on top of Everest summit was so cute & perfect .. ☺️❤️

Feel so bad for Col Arun Abhiyankar in the end.. he had lost the 2 most precious people.. in the world whom he loved the most - Tara and Chand! 😭

People like Ramesh R. can nvr change.. 👎🏼 who will keep searching for new bakra's , exploit their needs.. in order to steal Sarpeech.. 😡

I was actually thinking of making a similar post. So THANK YOU for this post.

EVEREST is the only show in recent times that made me a proud viewer.

I am proud because as a woman or as a human, Anjali has taught me that we all are worthy of being respected. Dont cry or swear if you are not respected. Rather, stand up, take up the challenge, BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT THE WORLD TO BE.

Akash taught me how to love. How to love your friend, your lover, or even your parent. He taught me not only that love is strength that motivates us to go further in life, but also that love is companionship. In a relationship, two people dont need impressive dates or expensive gifts. What two people need & want the most (which is often forgotten) is togetherness. That they can share their deepest feelings with each oTher. They do not have to agree on everything, but need to embrace the other & understand the other.

Even though all the characters learnt to let go, it was Arjun IMO who most strongly taught me this. Letting go of your fears, & embracing yourself. Having the courage to accept that you dont deserve something you've worked for all these years. Having the courage to accept that you've been wrong & that the past should be forgotten for a new beginning. A new beginning for a better you, to love others & yourself.

Abhayankar taught me about leadership. It is not about saying the most idealistic things & keeping your team happy. Showing them the reality & mapping out the direction for your team thats what a leader should do & he should not simply lead them but walk with them. Even though he left earlier, he was with them spiritually till the very end, motivating them when Chand died.

Roongta taught me that there is no end to greed & the only end it can meet is destruction. It blinds you to the point that you lose yourself to the point of becoming inhuman.

Maithili & Vidhan taught me about friendship esp Maithili. She remained a true friend to Anjali till the very end & supported her always.

All the other characters too taught me about forgiveness, love, relationships. I could just go on. Really thank you for this show!!
