We've seen her prance around in item songs and reality shows. But now she talks real. Yes, she feels 'women tend to get exploited easily and so they need to be as gutsy as Rakhi'! We've seen Rakhi Sawant prance around in item songs and reality shows. Friday will see her first big release, Buddha Mar Gaya. Rakhi on why to watch the film, dirty old men and the trait she shares with Tabu. Casting Ouch: I play a struggling Hindi film actor and end up being the reason for the ageing industrialist's death in Buddha. Most men in our society are like the characters in Buddha Mar Gaya. In the film, the industrialist who is wheel chair-bound for years dies in the arm of a starlet. That's why my character is referred to as vishkanya. Like any struggling actor, my character too ends up in Page 3 parties, wearing skimpy outfits and hoping to bag a role in a movie. Every struggling heroine in the industry goes through similar experience and one has to sacrifice a lot to be a successful heroine. No matter what people say, the phenomenon of casting couch is still very common in Bollywood. Dirty Old Men: Such men exist in every profession like films, politics and the corporate world. Buddha… is a must-watch for them, as they would see a reflection of themselves in the movie. These men are beyond any redemption and they deserve to die. I wish I was like vishkanya even in real life, and could be the reason for the death of these nasty creatures. Tabu and Me: Buddha… required a 'bold' heroine, who would not be shaky in intimate sequences. I have many such scenes in the movie. But, though I love dancing and enjoy doing item numbers in movies, there was no such scope in Buddha…. However, like other heroines I too want to enact meaningful characters in films. Apart from me, Tabu is the only other heroine who has the guts to take up 'bold' roles.
I'm Every Woman: Women tend to get exploited very easily. So they need to be gutsy to survive in this world. I want to inspire women to be as bold as me.
