Shakalaka Boom Boom was never a very popular song, nor is it a very well composed song....It was never a big hit and did absolutely nothing to flatter Aneek's voicešŸ‘ŽšŸ¼

Raja too chose one of AR Rehman's less popular song from a disastrous movie...The song was never a chartbuster hit, and choosing unpopular songs certainly does NOT help in this competition..The singing too was strictly mediocre,as was the song..He could have chosen "Dil Na Diya"(Kunal ganjawala) from Krrish,or Rang De Basanti(Daler Mehendi) , thereby finding himself not being typecast in Sulhvinder/Kailash Kher genre.

As a matter of fact, barring Poonam, Harpreet, Amanat and to some extent Sumedha, all the other contestants' song selection(and thereby, the singing too) left alot to be desired

Chakna Chakna is a song which is composed by and for Himesh, and suits his voice to the T..By singing the faster version of the song ,Mussarat ran out of breath at some points..The music of Namaste London wasnt as big a hit as some of HR's earlier compositions, and it's quite hard to pull off signature Himesh songs...Even the "Tanihaiyaan" which Mussarat sang a (few) week(s) ago wasnt his best performance

Junaid's song selection was comparitively better than Raja's, Aneek's and Mussarat's, but still he floundered again in the parts which had the low-notes..

Mauli, again rasped through the parts of the song where the notes alternate from low to high..She sings item numbers a shade better than other songs, but then again none of her item numbers are flawless...

But the most disappointing was Raja's and Aneek's performance...They could have been so much better had they chosen better composed and more popular dance songs

Today I loved only 3 performance.. Amanat, Poonam and Harpreet.. Also Sumedha to an extent.. Others failed.. Though Aneek sang well, but I didnt quite connect to the song.. It was Amanat and Harpreet who stole the show šŸ‘

Actually Namaste lOndon was one of Himesh's most popular tracks as well as Shakalaka Boom Boom. They were all on top of the music charts this year. The only problem I find being able to sing his songs is very difficult. He is a very high range singer and one needs to put in a lot of effort.

I reckon the failure can be attributed more to the wrong selection of song, rather than the prowess of the singers per se...Sang songs which the audience couldnt really connect to...They should have been more careful and should have selected foot tapping numbers which do justice to their voices

Ah well,I never quite tok a liking to the songs of Namaste London with the exception of "Veeraniyaan"..But that is a matter of opinion😊

But Raja's song from the film Meenaxi was never quite a popular number...Meenaxi released sometime in 2004,didnt it??...And it sank without a trace...I feel it's more advisable to sing hit numbers from successful films, play it safe!!

Mein jahein rahoon was also a brilliant composition and I actualy thought all the songs of Namaste London were great. But, I dont think the Song suited Aneek's voice, your right about that.

Yes, Raja's song was quite boring too even though it suited his voice.
