I still find it amazing that the actor won a best actor award for this show as his character (NEIL) hasnt really been doing anything other than giving blank looks. (Well he cried once or twice😆). But yeah his character has had no developments. He appears to grow a pair of apples when he is blasting Ragini or when he is humiliating Aman but other than that, the nappies are always tied really tightly.

Ironically, he thinks Aman is a fool to allow Ragini to make him dance to his tune. I take it, he has no mirrors at home. Because if he did, he would have realised he is an equal fool.

pls u can talk abt the characters in the show, nt abt the actor's acting skills, which ll hurt their fans over here!! u can discuss and argue, but abt characters of the show!!!

RR is a talented and establish actor...no complains or question on his acting skill at all. He is one of the best television personality and its a fact.

Am unhappy n frustrated with the character Neil not RR. CVs are making the characters the way it is. So technically its, CVs fault to portray Neil in this fashion. Its a example of poor thinking n writing by so called creative writers.

I think Neil character is well presented, he has been shown caring toward his children, ex wife, relative, friends and his family. His way of tackling situation has been funny in most of the situation even when goon tried to attack. Taking opinion from his dyan sis who has been taking care of his children is right thing to do. When its time to take stand he has taken it, if you remember the accident case where pam wanted him to run away from spot.
I think overall Neil character has been nicely sketched.

he's been giving a fine performance in the show.. lovely nuances.. if that is blank look for you I guess it is all subjective.

It is subjective. And it is also laughable that he was awarded that award despite the show being quite young. I know you are his fan. And Ronit is a fine actor. I did follow his work in Bandini. He was the only good thing in that show. But here, I have felt he has been aloof in some scene. That might be because I dislike the way his character has shaped up or it might just be his lack of interest r it might have just been the direction itself. Again, subjectively writing, that's how I have perceived it. He has a fine talent in showcasting emotions through his eyes but that is not something the character does all the time. Also to make this a neutral stance, I also have to make it clear that Pallavi has the issue of not using the right tone in her angry scenes with her Aarav and Nishi. I have also mentioned this elsewhere.

They are talented actors but sometimes the dislodgement (I know that is not a word) in scenes make it hard for the audience to connect to the actors' talent.

I just feel I need to add this: Please do not take things to heart. I hate pissing people off and I have a tendency of unintentionally doing that.

Don't worry - not taking anything to heart..
I think RR has given this role a lot of heart and it shows.. it is a difficult role because it is not your typical strong and silent role.. enjoying his subtler performance 😊

The scene where he broke down when he hears about her marriage, or when he went out with the intent to taunt her but ended up with moist eyes himself because of Aarav telling her he wanted to leave her to stay with him or when he found out the truth about her being right about Ranbir etc were good! He is a good advertising product for this show. Just wish the makers start giving his character a better role in the sense that he does not indulge in pettiness with humiliating Aman etc.

@bold- ermm I sorta agree there, but not because its a strong character but mostly because he is being depicted as a man with a conflicted mind and heart. He wants his ex wife back, you can see the hunger in his eyes for her, but in his mind she is married to another man. But at the same time, that still doesnt fade the possibility of having her back in his life, and that is always playing at the back of his mind and that is one thing that Ronit does really well in portraying as his character progresses.

Lets not discuss or criticize actors and acting. The discussion is about the character Neil...not about actor RR.

I agree that Neil is different than all other normal show lead characters but still am having complains which I have stated earlier. I hope, I can connect with him in near future if he change his attitude and stance.

Sometimes in life we tend to be under some kind of obligation from our family. Neil is obligated to his younger sis just like Ragini is. Pam helped Neil raised his kids. Its not that he is unable to speak against her, its just that he chooses not too keeping in mind the favor his sister has done for him and his kids.

I think Neil and Ragini are both human. They are extremely mature characters and are grateful to Pam. And this is how we behave in Real life. Most of the serials are exaggerated this one is not.
