Hi,
I am not very regular in the forum. When I saw the promos for the show... I had such high expectations... Instead I got Pam and Nivi😆 I eventually stopped watching the show... Refusing to wait anxiously for the few crumbs cvs will throw at me in the name of intelligent scripts... Or to be swayed by the window dressing... The new format tv shows seem to have adopted... Leads chemistry.
However I have not given up... I still live with the hope that the cvs will wake up and give us an intelligent script... With this hope I tend to visit the forum occassionally.
It has been ages, but today I felt like writing for NeiRa... This came as quite a surprise for me for I have only been tempted to write for RagNa.
This is a small scene from me... A NeiRa scene... I hope you all enjoy it... Apologies if it is not up to par.
The setting of the scene is from the wedding sequence of Neeshi and Jignesh.
Nachiket's heart swells with pride as his daughter stands by her partner in front of the agni... Both ready to take and make their vows. Seeing the love emanating from each other as they gaze at one another... his memories take him to another day... A similar setting... The day he married her mother... The day the love of his life looked back at him with this much love, if not more.
Nachiket's gaze softens over the cherished memories... Allowing his heart the freedom to feel... His gaze searching for Ragini. He finds her several feet away... Trapping her with his intensity. Ragini glances around to ensure that everything is okay... Her gaze meets Nachiket's... Her heart races away as she finds herself trapped... The intensity... The yearning... The love... Suffocating her and yet at the same time breathing life into her... She was lost into eyes of the keeper of her heart.
The priest announces it is time for the pheras... The guests and family watch happily as Jignesh takes a step forward... Neeshi following.
Entrapped... Oblivious of their surrounding... Nachiket takes a step forward... Ragini follows... Both lost in a world of their own... Their eyes emanating the intensity of their love that they now hide under the guise of hatred... Something that they refuse to acknowledge or question.
Ragini bumps into someone... Their gaze broken... Harsh reality biting them both to the present. Ragini stares at Nachiket in shock... Disbelieving that she would weaken... Vunerable over the loss of control of the emotions she had kept locked up... She rushes to the dressing room... Needing a moment to compose herself... A moment to still her beating heart.
Nachiket watches her leave... Anger taking reign as the hurt resurfaces... Wanting... Needing to hurt her too... His ego not accepting that she had moved on... Away from him... He follows. His gaze softens for a moment as he watches her seated in front of the mirror... Lost... Vunerable. He smiles cynically and walks up to her.
Ragini gazes at him through the mirror... Anxious... Wondering what will he do. Grabbing her shoulders her pulls her towards him... She falls back... Looking up at him... Startled... He leans towards her... Until their foreheads meet. He lets go. She scrambles to balance herself... Confused... She looks at him throught the mirror... Looks at herself... Her heart stops... He had filled her maang withhis tika... She glances at him... He smirks and says nonchalantly... You are a married woman... You forgot to fill your maang... Turns and walks away.
Ragini stares at her filled maang... With trembling fingers she traces it... Tears fall as she debates whether to leave it or wipe it off... Vunerable... Her heart scolding... And once again he plays you like a flute
