This post is usually reserved for a short biography of Harshad ... for 100th FC I decided to give it a twist and instead post a poem by Meg from an old FC that cover all his work ... Enjoy!!!
An impressionable young girl
Can be infatuated
With as many as a thousand characters
In her lifetime
But she can fall in love with only one
There are many moons for every planet
But there is only one sun
But what if the characters are the same
The moon and the sun are the same
The source of divine light and love are the same
What if the same man enchants you every time you see him on screen
Slipping into different skins with the same sheen
Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon
Even after long absences from your eyes
He can make you swoon

He made the 'bad boy' look hot
Long before it came into fashion
He started off as a villain
But only rose in progression

To become the sweet guy next door
The one who is nervous about his first day
In the new place
The one who is your friend
Never mind if there's 'freak' written all over your face
The one who doesn't need a spotlight

To be noticed in a crowd
Because that dazzling white smile
Is what singles him out.
But then, even the sweetest dessert needs a little punch
Even the softest delicacies need a little crunch

Suddenly, this young man would be contained no longer
He became more mature, more talented, and stronger
He burst into the scene like the moon against the sky
Like the roaring desert wind, and he was no longer shy
He was somebody with determination in his eyes
Somebody to tempt you to break all your ties
As the bride sat looking forward to a safe future
He threatened to send hers, and our hearts too into rapture
He was in a land so far away
But he would soon burst forth to save the day
His name signified love, and he displayed it brilliantly
He came back from the dead, and charmed us all instantly
A loving father, a passionate lover
Even though he's gone, he'll stay in our hearts

The city of Joy, as its popularly known
Had more reason to rejoice,
For another special hero was about to return from a foreign land
And make our hearts burst and our eyes moist
He was somebody who we'd already known as a child
Self-conscious of his weight, akward, but with a charming smile
Gone was that vulnerability, it was replaced by hardness
As he had forgotten the childhood horrors he had witnessed
He had forgotten his true love, and tried to replace it with something
Which he thought was his love, but was just another fling
He was upset with his father, upset with how easily he'd been pushed away
He'd been separated from the friend he needed to survive everyday
Anybody can play the suave business tycoon
Anybody can be cool and make our hearts swoon
But only somebody special can play a person driven mad by love
Only somebody special can act innocent and devoid of recognition for his beloved
Only somebody with real daring can scrawl on the wall of a lunatic asylum
And not strike our hearts with fear
Only somebody with sincere eyes
Can make us cry with his tears
He made the rapid transition from industrialist to a madman with ease
He could be the angry Byronic hero as well as the flirty tease
He could show all the layers of his character in just one moment
And he could make somebody who'd never even liked him into a poet
His name means 'love' and that was exactly what every mannerism of his signified
Whether he was in the throes of passion or torn by family divide
When he held his love in his arms, you could feel the warmth and the caring
When he confronted the villain, you felt like you were the one at whom he was staring
Even when the story had us at our wits end
He was the only thing that ever made sense
Kanhaiya, so handsome, so playful, so teasing
Found the perfect man to carry his name ever-pleasing
This time not from the US of A but from the city of our colonizers
Carefree, with loose morals, and yes a womanizer
Neither an angry young man nor a responsible mature son
But a confused soul looking for his 'The One'
He had been an obedient child before, the darling of the family
But now he'd turned wayward, and wanted to break free
Carrying with him an embarassing secret, he put aviators on his eyes
And came up the airport elevator, determined to hide all his lies
Not knowing of the girl who promised to draw all his secrets out
And be the perfect soulmate to this charming little lout
He wanted to set out his own path in life
But she was determined to play the perfect wife
A Mamma's boy, and yet eager to get out of the clutches of Mamma
With HC playing him he was like a dose of manna
With that casual swagger and confident attitude
He was able to charm us even when he was being rude
With the right combination of rebelliousness, innocence and leather jackets
In both his family and our hearts, he was one explosive packet
But after Kanhaiya went, he was again incarnated
For to bring light into our lives he is fated
This time as Raghav, a man who is just and fair
To rescue his love from Raavan's lair
But he was just as equally wayward as the role he'd played before
Though forget business, he was a rough-and-tough mechanic to the core
Yet he had a soft heart that beat for those in need
He was the hero to the damsel in distress, without the shining armour and the steed
He was a man of labour, with conviction in those chocolate brown eyes
When he glared at you, you couldn't help but be hypnotized
He didn't need to say anything: what spoke for him was his intensity
Despite the pain in his heart, he was filled with sincerity
Banished from his home, you could see the misery in his voice when he spoke
When he confronted the villain, your heart was not filled with fear but with hope
When fate dealt a fatal blow to his beloved
He changed himself to become worthy of her love
He became slick and suave, and yet the old honest Raghav remained
Though he was a gambler now, his values were still the same
The gruffness was replaced by maturity, but the intensity stayed the same way
He still cared about his family, just that he had new ways to save the day
Somebody you could look up to, somebody you could idolize
That is our Raghupati for you summarized
So that was our Harshad Chopda Katha, the great epic on the man who continues to enthrall us with his versatility. But special mentions must go to the following, without whom this story just wouldn't have been the same: Hair Gel, Toweliya, Aviators, Doodh, Mood Aur Bahut Kuch
And the journey continues ... with Sahir hitting our screens today ...
