Kratika Sengar of Jhansi Ki Rani and Punar Vivah fame will now be back on Zee with her latest show Service Wali Bahu. The actress who married (Thangaballi from Chennai Express) Nikitin Dheer in September last year says that life as she knew it is different after tying the knot.

Says the actress, "Life after marriage has changed a lot. Earlier I would be fine with the idea of working at a stretch, but now I need my holidays and days off. Striking a balancing between a career and a house is a big responsibility and only women can do that. I am proud to be one."

The actress admits that her wedding came as a surprise to all her colleagues since she was at the pinnacle of her career when she took the plunge. "I never wanted to marry an actor, but Nikitin and I got along so well that our professions took a back seat and our personal lives became the focus. So we just decided to go ahead and get married," she reveals.

Now that she is married into a family of industry veterans, does she exchange notes with them before taking up a show? "I definitely discuss things before finalising the script. People at home give me advice and suggestions. They are a supportive lot,"she says.

On doing reality shows with her husband Kratika confesses, "Nikki and I will never be able to pull of a reality show together. We are not comfortable dancing on the same stage. Besides, he won't let me wear those short skimpy clothes. Romance is best kept off screen for us," she says. The actress is not interested in taking a plunge to the silver screen anytime soon either. "My priority right now is television and family. I feel safe and secure with television," she adds.
