Go home nishi his last words before he left, like he had all those years back. Left to never turn back to his other half of the family. Abandoning her, Aarav, their mother just like that.

Of course she didn't know the reason behind his actions, nor did her mother ever inform her.

Hence she was left with this empty hole in her heart, which craved for a fathers love, her buddy's love, hoping that one day she'll get the love her friends get from their fathers. But she knew that'll never happen. Yet she still hoped but she knew somewhere deep down in her heart, that it was useless to do so. He wasn't gonna return, and nor was he going to shower her with the love a fathers suppose to give. The love she was so used to seeing amongst her friends and their fathers, but barely experienced it in her life. Of course her ma had given her the love, for both a father and a mother, but it just wasn't enough. One simply couldn't give the love as similar to that of a fathers.

Of course she had had a fair share of his love, but it was all a memory, something that was fading as time passed by. She missed him, but no more. No more was she going to run after the man who didn't give a damn about her, her brother, even her mother for that matter. If he didn't care, she won't either. If he didn't want to see her, she doesn't want to see him either. She'll forget the fact that she ever even met him, the man who the world called her father, but for her he'll simply be a sperm donor. The man who brought her to this world.

She sighed as she looked at her watch, surprised that it had already been an hour since she had been in the car. She lifted her head away from the window, to look around the car, trying to stretch with the limited amount of space. She looked at Aarav as he was leaning on nanis shoulder sleeping, while Aman uncle was still driving at his "normal" speed, with her mother by sitting by his side on her phone.

She looked out towards the road as they passed by a sign indicating that they were in Karjat.

Finally, she sighed.

After her mother had agreed to the wedding, things had taken a huge turn in her life. One day she was sulking over the fact that she might not be marrying Jignesh at all, and the next day she woke up to her whole family preparing to leave for Karjat, for her wedding which was happening in 15 days.

She remembered just standing their looking at her mother who was just moving around telling her to hurry up, or else they will be late. Within 24 hours, her life had taken a turn for good.

She didn't know what had convinced her mother to agree to the wedding. Was it her bud..sperm donor? Did he actually call her and convince her? But if he did, wouldn't her mom be yelling at her right now for talking to that man? Forcing him to call her and talk to her. Her mothers lack of anger, or any signs of stress convinced her that her bud..sperm donor hadn't called. Then what had made her mother go ahead and agree to the wedding she was so against since the beginning.

Whatever it was she didn't, but all she knew was that she was marrying Jignesh, the love of her life, and she was happy. Very happy.

Writers Note: Hey guys! I'm new to this forum, and had stopped writing for a really long time, but after watching this show, I'm getting inspired to write once again. Hence this is the result. In this story, Nishis character is very strong, and she has developed a resentment towards her father for leaving her at the airport and for his cold behavior towards her, unlike the Nishi in the show. I was dissatisfied by her reaction to her fathers cold behavior, so I wrote this. It's entirely different to what happened after the airport fiasco, in this story, actually it's right after the airport fiasco, more like a week after. Enjoy, and please do tell me if you like it. Thank you for reading! XOXO

Great that this is your first work.. loved the different take and a story from Nishi's perspective - hope she gives Nachiket a hard time for shirking his responsibilities and not giving her the attention she deserves as a bride even now..

Looking forward to the next bits .. and the title is especially awesome.. hahahaha sperm donor!! :D

Chapter 2
*Note:Thoughts in italics, dialogues in Italics/Bold

Finally getting out of the car, I yawned and stretched out, massaging my legs. It had been heck of a long ride, especially with Aman Uncles' marvelous driving skills, if you even call that driving.

Hearing a honk, I turned around only to be met with the two people who had suddenly made a strange presence back into her life, Karan Uncle and his wife Dimpy Aunty.

Ever since ma's announcement about my
wedding, the two had become constant guests in the house. They were always their, making plans for my wedding. As a matter of fact, the farm house my wedding was to take place in actually belonged to Karan Uncle. He had generously offered this place for a destination wedding, which was something Jignesh and I had always wanted.

I smiled at them, as they stepped out of the car and Karan uncle helped my great grandmother out, who had been smiling happily since the last few hours of leaving our house.

As a matter of fact, everyone looked so joyful today, and moreover, Aarav looked really excited and impatient. What the hell? I looked at my mother, expecting her to be behaving similarly as well, but she looked nervous, fidgeting every now and then, come to think of it, she had been very jumpy during our whole ride here.

Was it due to the fact that bud..sperm donor and her had gotten married here? Was it that, or was she simply just nervous from the wedding stress. Arranging a marriage was definitely not easy, so was it that?

I shook my head trying to clear my thoughts. I was doing that a lot today.

No Nishi, no over thinking things! I told myself, as I smiled and approached the long gates of the farm house, but a certain noise stopped me from proceeding.

I turned around to see another car approaching, a SUV, as it stopped right behind Karan Uncle's car. I couldn't identify the driver or anyone, for the windows were heavily tinted. I looked at my mother curious, I thought everyone was here, and besides Jignesh's family was coming tomorrow. Then who was this?

I squinted my eyes, looking back towards the car not getting any answers from my moms lowered gaze. Only to be swept back by the shock.

What the fu..my thoughts were interrupted by Aarav.

Papa!! He addressed sperm donor as he ran to hug him.

Chapter 3
How could you do this to me ma?! I yelled for the hundredth time since his arrival. The minute everyone had stepped out of the SUV, without giving a backwards glance I had grabbed my mother and rushed out of what people would normally call an emotional scene but I'd call a drama.

Nishi, who tumhare papa..

Stop! Just stop! Stop calling that man my father! He's no where even close to it! He lost the right to be called that years ago! He left us, abandoned us when we needed him! He wasn't their to see me when I excelled in all my classes. He wasn't their to see me win the first prize for the scholarship competition. He wasn't their when I won my first game. He wasn't their when I graduated from school. Heck he wasn't even here for my birthday for all those years, he wasn't even here to watch me grow! How dare he think he has the right to come here now, especially for this, the most special moment of my life! If he missed out on half of my life, he most certainly has no right to come out of nowhere and claim his right now, to take part in this celebration!

Okay so I know somewhere deep down, very deep down, I was being a bitch, but hey, sometimes things happen due to which you have to take the route towards the wrong side of things. My ma didn't deserve what I was giving her right now, my anger towards her, towards everything and everyone was completely not justified, but I was beyond caring about that, it was in my genes to overlook every detail in course of anger, and unfortunately I got that streak from him. Of course, him. It was all his fault, like always. He had to always come and ruin my life somehow. Even without his physical presence

Nishi! Bas! Tu mane ya na mane, Hum Dono ko patha hai, ke Tu chati hai ke woh yahan ho. Watching ma defend that man killed me inside. The one man she hated, she was defending.

Why? I didn't know and that simply drove me crazy.

Yelling a few profanities here and their, I walked out the room, slamming the door on my way out, clearly telling my mother that I wasn't done with this conversation!

Walking past the hallway where everyone sat rejoicing on old memories, I almost broke the door to my room as I slammed it harshly! Hearing complete silence from the hallway as a result of my action made me smirk, well that's what they get!

Jumping on my bed, I pulled the comforter up towards my body, calmly allowing myself to close my eyes, sighing, as everything went blank.

~Neil~
Heading towards the same room that had been given to her and I when we got married brought many memories from the past. I sighed as I heard a door slam to my left.

Nishi.

She had changed, ever since that dreadful day. Even if it was only a few words exchanged between us that day at the airport, with her disappearing like that at my arrival clearly indicated something had changed. Things had changed between us. She wasn't the same girl who was begging for my attention, her fathers attention at the airport even after brutally being denied a thousand times.

She was different now.

She was clearly upset with my presence at her wedding. But what could I do?

I thought back to the night when I had called Ragini to speak to her about Nishis wedding with that boy. She had sounded upset about the fact that her..our daughter had approached me over this issue.

I vaguely remember her hanging up, only to call back a few minutes later, to make a deal with me.

In exchange of Nishis wedding to happen, I needed to be present at her wedding. I had initially refused, outrageous that she could even suggest something as such. However, she had left me to hear sobs and loud cries over the other end, a heart wrenching voice crying her heart out for her father, begging for him.

I was pulled back into reality as without my knowledge, I felt a tear drop. Quickly wiping it away, I made my way into my room. I was still Neil, not Nachiket who lived his life on the basis of what his heart wanted over mind. And never will I let him come back, even for my daughter.

The daughter whose cries continued to haunt me every day of my life, and they will continue to do for the rest of my life. I could never forget them and would never be able to even if I wanted to.

They were the cries of my daughter, the same daughter who was so precious to me, the same daughter I had created, the one whom I had promised to feed the way I had fed her food that one day, the same one without whose "goodnight buddy"I couldn't sleep, the same one who couldn't sleep without my bedtime stories, the same one for whom I would forget the whole world. The same girl, whose simple ouch would disturb my entire existence, the same girl whose cries would kill me. The same girl who cried that day for me, because of me.

My little baby. My buddy. My life. My everything.

Of course I loved all my other children the same, but Nishi, she had a special place in my heart. She was my daughter. My baby girl. The most precious. I remember the day she was born, only 2 pounds. She had been crying loudly, but the minute I had taken her into my arms, she had quietened, staring at me with her big wide eyes that resembled her mothers. I never thought I'd ever love another girl as much as I loved Ragini, but I did, and that girl was my daughter, my baby. My baby who was getting married. Damn. The time has passed by so fast.

Note: The Nishi in this story is similar to the Nishi they showed in the episode where she calls Neil, but Suhani picks up the phone, addressing Pam as Mom
