Asad slowly made his way out of the bathroom, still too stunned to bother with his naked and disheveled state. If he weren't so numbed to sensation, he might have had a heart attack finding Zoya slunk across his bed, her body folded into the wrinkled sheets in a tired pile.

"You're here?"

His question came out as a strangled statement, a simple recognition that he wasn't alone when he least expected it.

"Yeah", she mumbled.

"Why?"

He sank into the sheets with her, hovering over her closed off pose. A long silenced stretched in the room so long his breaths came out shallow.

"Do you want me to go?" She finally asked.

"No".

He raked his fingers through her hair in motion that was neither gentle nor pleading. He was demanding a part of her, whether she agreed to it or not. Zoya did not flinch. Their time together had inoculated her to his need, his crudeness didn't faze her anymore. She'd once found it endearing. Now it was only short of confusing. Why was he doing this?

"You love me", he'd repeated this in his head and out loud until it finally rang true. Maybe someone did see him, Asad the man, not the Hollywood star.

"I love you", Zoya said before her inner prude could take over.

"How long?"

"Since the day we first made love".

He was 18 to her 22. She didn't know what brought it on but one look had been enough. He had her even before she knew his name. She had ten years to explore the depth of her feelings but she wasn't done looking, they only grew stronger.

"Did I love you?" he asked.

"Do you love me now?" she was afraid of his answer so much so that she wished she never asked.

"I don't know".

"You don't know", she parroted.

"Stay"

"What?"

"I want to find out Zo. I want to...I want to try".

"You were just a boy, I...I had it all wrong. You were just having fun. I took...I am sorry", she rambled on incoherently.

"I am not. I am not sorry that I found you. I am sure as hell not sorry that I am keeping you. You're staying Zo. And we'll figure this out".

She was melting into a puddle under his feet and he only had two words out. Dear God, this man had too much power over her.

"You don't have to", she said hoping he would hold her back.

"I do".

He did. He held her in his arms until she stilled, her exhausted body lulled back into sleep.

Asad carefully slipped out of the cover and made an urgent phone call to his brother. He hadn't talked to the man in years but desperate times called for desperate measures. He hadn't been expecting the whole truth considering the bad blood between him and the family. Surprisingly, his brother opened up without hesitation.

"She always had eyes for you", he began. "Only had eyes for you. I thought she was crushing on me when she agreed to tutor me alone in the basement but the minute you showed up, I already lost. You were sixteen, still wet between the ears but you kissed her. f**k, if had an iota of your confidence then, we would be married today. But look what happened instead! She waited two years to be your girlfriend. I doubt she dated anyone in between. The girl was counting the days till she caught you in a bar. What you had going was an epic in the making. I knew were going to f**k it up some day, you're a little shit like that. What I didn't know was it would be two short years later. You ruined her for the rest of us. She didn't so much as step a foot out of the house where you left her. She waited six weeks and then she was gone. Just like that. And you never came back either. I don't know about her but I will hate you for that as long as I live. I know you had your own shit going with drugs and the dealer's debts piling up but you didn't have to take it out on her. What did the poor girl ever do to you other than love you unconditionally? I don't even know why I am telling you this. Bottom line, stay away from her. Don't go running, don't try to rekindle whatever it is you think you had. Don't break her again".

Asad fell speechless, his head between his hands. He knew the answer even before he heard Remi warn him, even if he didn't love her yet, he was selfish enough to try.

Wow...finally he has started to make sense...

He didn't let her go, n instead call his brother to know what has actually happened 10 years back...

What's he gonna do now...hell its gets so excited update by update...
