Chapter 29

"Wh - What?" Sanyukta gasped nervously.

It was like her ears had been desperate to hear those words from Randhir.

He squeezed her more if that was possible, and she didn't want him to let go. She felt herself melting into his embrace, and soon she felt her neck get wet by his tears.

"I don't know," he said hoarsely.

Then he broke down, and Sanyukta felt tears fall from her own eyes.

"Please don't cry," she told him, but her own voice gave her away.

"You're telling me," he told her bitterly.

"Sorry," she muttered.

He loosened his grip around her before slowly breaking their embrace.

"I don't know what to do," he mumbled avoiding her gaze.

She sniffled and he looked up at her, hating that her eyes were filled with tears, but at the same time, he couldn't bring himself to forget what happened three years ago.

"Why?" she asked, wiping away her tears. "Do what you want to do."

"But what if I don't know what I want?" he asked her.

"Why don't you know Randhir?" she asked, trying to get him to delve deeper into it.

"You want to know why?" he asked her, his tone turning dark, looking directly into her eyes.

She gulped and nodded, already anticipating what was going to come... yet she was ready for it, if it would relieve him of the burden he had on his heart.

"I don't know why because I'm confused. Maybe because I fell in love with a girl in college, and she's not leaving me alone three years after we broke up... I'm worried I'm going to break the girl I'm going to marry's heart because I can't even fix my own heart," he started, "Or maybe I'm confused because I'm still hopelessly in love with that bitch who I can't get over, yet I have feelings for this other girl."

Sanyukta felt her eyes well up with a fresh layer of tears as he referred to her as a bitch, but she didn't interrupt him.

"I hate that bitch so much, believe me I do... she gave me a huge reason for me to hate her, but my hate for her may be ruining my love for this other girl. I don't want her to affect my married life in any way, I want her to go far away, far away from my thoughts... but I don't know how to get rid of her," he went on angrily, "I don't know what to do... I never had a proper closure with her, so I came here, I came straight to where she lived because I couldn't deal with it myself. I couldn't handle it... and she could be gleefully laughing at the state she put me in for all I care, but I need to get this off... I need to get things sorted out, otherwise I will go insane before I get married."

She still kept quiet as her heart shattered into more and more pieces. She knew she would get a chance to speak... but right now it was her turn to listen. Right now all she could do was bear his taunts, listen to his insults, because that was what was best for him, it was what was best for them.

"I fell in love with her, I fell so hard that I couldn't get back up... I felt stuck, confined to one spot... but now this other girl showed me that I don't have to get back up and walk, I can just crawl..." Randhir pressed on.

He paused for a moment, before he slowly finished with, "But while I crawl, I don't want to pull her down with me."

Chapter 30

"Why are you calling me a bitch?" she finally asked him sadly as more tears fell from her eyes.

He glared at her.

"Don't act as if you don't know," he told her rudely.

"Randhir," she said painfully. "I -"

"Maybe I can forgive you," he told her, sounding confused. "I know... after that, you're nothing but a dirty wh**e but, I can forgive you and maybe we can start over and be together again."

"Forgive?" Sanyukta asked, her heart aching when he called her a dirty wh**e. "Randhir... forgive what?"

"Sanyukta don't act so innocent... you know you cheated on me," he told her angrily.

She grabbed his shoulders and dug her nails into them, making him wince.

"Randhir, I told you this three years ago and I'm telling you now - I did not cheat on you!" she told him. "I was... it wasn't my fault."

"Then what the hell was that MMS that got sent to me Sanyukta?" he yelled.

"Okay... okay Randhir... you know what happened that night," she told him, her heart aching. "I told you I didn't... but you didn't give me a chance to explain, at least let me explain now."

"What's there to explain? You were a cheating wh**e Sanyukta," he said darkly.

"Look Randhir... let me tell you what happened that night," she told him. "Let me tell you. Please... please listen to me."

"I don't want to listen to you," he snapped. "I don't need to hear your graphic details of how you slept with Rehan... I hate you for that, and I may never be able to forget it, but still I'm telling you this... I will forgive you, and we can make peace with it."

"What the hell Randhir, I'm telling you I didn't cheat on you, why won't you listen to me?" she snapped in response.

"Because you're f**king lying," he responded.

She bit her tongue to refrain from swearing back.

"Fine. You're going to believe what you want, so go ahead and do so," she responded coldly.

"Can we... can we be friends?" he finally asked.

She was angry - she wanted to scream at him no, she didn't want to be his friend, but she took a deep breath and remembered that he came there because he was unsure of marrying Sanu. He had to solidify his certainty in the marriage.

"Yes," she replied. "We can. I'll make peace with the past too."

Randhir breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a huge burden lift off his shoulders.

"It feels better not to hate you," he told her lightly.

"Really? What do you feel towards me? You don't hate me, so that means you love me then?" she asked him sourly, still unhappy with what was happening.

Chapter 31

"L - love?" Randhir stammered.

"It's okay," she responded, still irate. "Forget it. Go home now, it's late."

"Late?" he asked. "Oh yeah... right... sorry again."

He stood up from the couch and smiled at her nervously, as her clear irritation continued.

He bent down and picked up the glass of water from the table before downing the rest of it.

"You must have water at home right?" Sanyukta snapped. "I'm sure you could have gone home and had some."

"O - okay," he mumbled. "Sorry."

He walked towards the door and turned the knob. Sanyukta felt her heart fall as he did that - she always hated it when he left.

As he opened the door and was about to walk out, Sanyukta ran towards him and grabbed his shoulder, causing him to freeze. He turned around and faced her.

"Did I forget something?" he asked her.

"Me," she whispered, and tears fell down her eyes. "You forgot me."

"Huh?" he asked, bewildered. "What do you mean?"

"You're going to get married," she told him.

"Yes..." he told her, "But what does that have to do with anything?"

"You will get married Randhir... we're friends now, but after your marriage, will our friendship even last?" she asked him. "Your wife won't like it that you're friends with me."

"I don't think she will mind," he said softly, bringing his hand up to her cheek and cupping it softly.

"What if she says not to see me?" Sanyukta asked him.

"I won't listen to her. You come first," he told her with a comforting smile.

"Then why are you marrying her?" Sanyukta asked him, her eyes filling with tears. "Randhir... why are you marrying her and leaving me behind?"

She didn't know why - but the thought that he would do such a thing bothered her. He wasn't aware that the girl he was actually marrying was her.

"Leaving you behind?" Randhir asked her, sounding clueless. "What do you mean?"

"Randhir, you idiot...you know this," she cried, "I love you."

Then she threw her arms around his chest, holding on to him tight, as his arms lay limp on his sides.

"Sanyukta," he murmured softly, bringing one hand up to stroke her hair. "I'm sorry."

She pulled herself away from him and looked him straight in the eye. Then before he could say anything else to her, she stood on the tip of her toes and pressed her body tightly against his, her lips finding his in a desperate attempt to have him back... not for Sanu, but for Sanyukta.

Oh God Awesome update Saffy ,and RD clearly hasnt gotten over her and he is saying she comes first and then he so called would be Wife 😲 like REALLY if Sanu was not Sanyukta that would be called an affiar .

and i really feel She needs to tell him soon that she is only Sanu ,they way he was calling her a Wh*** and stuff luks like he cant control his anger and he will be Burning in anger if he comes to know the truth from soneone else

and u bought Rehaan in this FF😃😳 will he create problems later on

Read it all in one go. SAffy !!! its heart wrenching. Its like the current SHQ track. They both love each other so much that even the immense hatred they feel for each other is not enough to do them apart.

And its only them who can sort themselves out. Waiting for the next update. Quick !!

So rd is so confused and struggling from his own emotions right now...

And a cliffy seriously??? not fair ya...

How dare he called her that😡???

Really pissed with rd for calling her by that names...

This is just getting exciting day by day😃...

Well either way he is going to get married to sanyu only...

So thank for reveling the past...

Its a big misunderstanding but rd is still oblivious to all of it...

Now that she kissed him want to see his reaction😳...

I'm loving it more and more...

Can't wait to see what happens next...
