At the outset, I'd say that today's episode was marginally MUCH, MUCH better than the others we wasted our time on the last 10 ten days or so...
So am gonna start with the BEST PART of the epi...
Ishita's getting ready...Wooowww...WOOOWWW...Im repeating myself for the Nth time, but I have to say this - Divyanka is an EXTREMELY pretty woman...so elegant...so put-together...She's put on a Kanjeevaram magenta-coloured saree, with a deep-purple choli blouse of puff sleeves, hair parted slightly in the the middle with sides twisted into thin braids, held back in place with hairpins...and a gajra adorning her free-flowing long hair ...and a classy gold necklace framing her slender neck like that of a Goddess'...(Im sure she's wearing a wig, but I DONT CARE)...She looked like the woman I'd have liked to marry had I been a GUY
She's trying to pin her saree palloo with her blouse and it falls to the ground...Raman steps over it and tries to play around her a bit...She starts complaining and asks him to give it back...Thodi bahut khitpit hoti hai, and baaton hi baaton mein Raman ki ungli chubh jaati hai (Im sorry, I was too ENTHRALLED by the BOTH of them, I didnt exactly notice HOW he got pricked on his finger)...starts bleeding, and Ishita instantly takes it to her mouth and sucks the blood oozing out of it...I GOT TRANSPORTED TO HEAVEN...DURING THIS SCENE...And KP would be lying to himself if HE too didnt feel the temperature getting amped up that very moment (albeit that it was 'just' acting)... "Kitna khoon behne laga...aap sunte kyun nahin ho meri baat' Ishita groans...as she tried to suck the blood oozing from the pinprick wound...OK...I hadn't heard it earlier...bt apparently he said, " Aur khoon pee lo"š¤£
"Accha pin do na ...doosre mein chubha do" Raman teases her, showing her his other finger...he was ready to get the other fingers...just so that he'd be fussed over rotten by his wifey šThat was THE RKB I was missing ALL THESE FRICKIN' MONTHS...OHH...How I felt like I was covered head to toe in snowflakes...in autumn flowers beckoning to the butterfly-love I felt inside...
"Sanskaar bhool gayi? Pati bol raha mat jao...toh mat jao naa" He doesnt want her to attend...
"Dekho...wahan Bala ki Maa Chennai se naye naye taane seekhke aayi hogi...woh tumhen kuch bolegi, tum jhel nahin paogi...tumhen bura lagega...aur TUMHEN bura lagega...toh MUJHE bura lagega" he quips...I'll be honest ...I see 'Naughty Intentions' behind this statement of Raman's...Agar ek baar bhi Amma-Appa ne keh diya hota ki 'Ishita, Raman...tum log mat aao' toh PAKKA, woh dono GKC No. 2 ki taiyyari mein lag jaateš
They both said a couple of other things, which I didnt exactly get...coz I felt they chewed it up or something...but Iishita basically asked him not to worry...
"Kyunki aapki jo beti hai naa...UNKI AISI BAND BAJAYI THI LAST TIME...Woh kuch bol hi nahin sakti" Ishita gleefully recalls..."Jab tak aap aur Ruhi mere saath hain, koi mujhe kuch nahin keh sakta'...
Raman is CLEARLY BESOTTED with his beautiful wife...he just cant take his eyes off her..as he stands behind her...right in front of the a full-length mirror...
"Phirse laga dun?" Raman playfully offers to pin her saree up, once more...
"Aapko toh bas bahana hi chahiye..." SO COY, SO SENSUOUS...SOO...SEXY...
"Nahin..bas..practice ho jayegi" I was dead when Raman said this...there were a hundred hearts floating around me...it seemed like Valentine's Day arrived 5 days early...just for me...Haye...š¤Ŗ
Iske baad Raman ne kuch kaha jo MUJHE SUNAI HI NAHIN DIYA...Kya tha mujhe sach mein sunai nahin diya...can anybody help??š
They only broke apart when Ruhi came running, looking for her Ishima...she wanted help with wearing the necklace...she too looked like a DOLL...bottle-green lehenga and braided hair and that cute little smile :)
"Safety pin bhi kya soch samajhke banaya" Raman's feeling LUCKY today...and so are we...AFTER AGES AND AGES AND AGES, I saw something worth sekoing my eyes overš
And now, to the OTHER bits of today's episode...
Rinki picks up the bundle of money and shows it to Romi...before she could ask him about it...Romi rebuffs her...
"Kkya? Dekhe nai kabhi paise kabhi? Bunty ke paise hain...uski shaadi hai...diye hain usne paise mujhe" He drives her out of the room..WHY WOULD BUNTY HAND HIM A BUNDLE OF MONEY...anyway, I dont care
Ishita shows some turquoise-green saree to Toshi ji...for Rinki...apparently, for the godh bharai ceremony...Ttoshi ji thinks its for matrimonial site...
Bunty FINALLY will get a dinner set as his wedding gift...going by the looks of the wrapped package Simmi handed over to him...Toshi ji said, Bunty being his bachpan ka dost and all, she should also accompany him...He tells them there would be no need, since there's already a function on the home front...
IYER house is decorated beautifully...Flowers and diyas gave a bright glow to the general ambience in the Iyer flat...Bala ki Maa (Chudail No. 2) has arrived in her loud makeup and caustic comments in tow...bonds with Shravu and hands over gift she's got for Vandu, to Madhvi...Am sure its gold...
In the meantime, Raman got a call from the office but says he wouldnt be able to make it...since there's a function at home and all...The guy who's called from the office wants the key to the locker (where the cash is kept) and Raman asks the guy to send smeone over to Mr.Iyer to get the key...A peon comes over to fetch the key and Appa goes inside to look for it...
Chudail No. 2 who's been watching all this with avid interest, comments:
"Bala aur Subbu hai naa...humen kisi cheez ki kami nahin hone dete" "Inhe...iss umar mein bhi kaam karna pad raha hai...kya kare...do do beti hain naa"
"Vishwa...Raman ke office elp kar rae ai" Amma clarifies
"Par...Beti to Paraya Dhan hoti hai" C2 just doesnt want to let go of the fight
"Acha...amari beti toh amari hai...aapke beta bhi AMARA HAI...Bala and Raman...dono amare BETE jaise hain" Amma ends the commentary with a barb from her end, all smiles and politeness intactš
I LOVE IT WHEN A GIRL'S FAMILY, ESPECIALLY PARENTS, DONT TAKE SHIT FROM THE DAUGHTER'S IN-LAWS JUST COZ THEY'RE...WELL...THE BOY'S PARENTS...LOVED IT, THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT!!
Not only this, Chudail No. 2 even tried to be mean to Ishita...by asking about Toshi ji..."Woh thodi loud hai naa" she gets all sarci
"Haan...woh thodi si loud hain...kya hai naa..jin logon ka dil saaf hota hai, woh aksar thode se loud hote hain...aap bhi kabhi try kariya..LOUD baatein karne ki" Ishita retorts, Amma-styleššš
Vamp was luking decent and sanskaari for a change...peach-coloured full-sleeved blouse...and a light purple-coloured (Kanjeevaram?) saree with some golden-ish flower designs...
Pammi Aunty's arrived..AGAIN...IN A DARK BRINJAL-COLOURED SAREE...with a light green-ish blouse...Toshi and Pammi exchange pleasantries...sit on the couch and get talking about engagements and weddings...Pammi informs her of Nimmo's engagement getting fixed...Toshi ji says she's been fighting high BP...coz none of her other children are peacefully settled in their lives...Simmi's left her husband, Romi is reckless and doesnt even knw the meaning of marriage, and Rinki doesnt want to marry now...
As they engage in some dukh-sukh, Pammi Aunty sees Rinki at the side..and teases her about marriage...
Rinki was looking SOOO SOOO PRETTY...She was ALSO dressed in some purple-ish saree with a turquoise green blouse (I could be wrong, there was SOOO MUCH PRETTINESS GALORE IN THE HOUSE I MIGHT'VE GOTTEN CONFUSED)Gosh...today was an OGLE FEST...Rinki tells Pammi Aunty to please not to ask marriage-related questions...
Romi took the train to Panipat...for the Na-Mardangi to Mardangi operation...The FAKE DOCTOR'S even ARRIVED in the hotel to speak with him...and take the money...HOW CAN A GROWN MAN LIKE ROMI NOT GET THIS? I mean, HOW AND WHY will a registered real doctor GO MEET A PATIENT in a seedy hotel and TAKE THE MONEY FIRST without proper signatures, hospital formalities, et al and THEN OPERATE??? Idiotic...Romi deserves what he's getting...
Appa, Bala in veshti...Vandita was looking GORGEOUS...She was prolly the ONLY one draped in a non-purple saree...she looked resplendent in a blood red saree with and yellow-ish blouse...Mangalsutra and two other necklaces clutching her neck..pretty and elegant...My goodness, VANDITA has LOVELY FEATURES...She's sexy... such a droolfest by HERSELF...
Why did Raman come in a suit? UFFF...Was expecting him to turn up in a veshti...Anyway, Raman has a small talk with Bala, who looks kinda nervous...
"Tu toh ek sher paida kar chuka hai...phir tujhe tension kya hai" Raman teases him
"Haan par...repeat telecast ka hi toh darr hai...raat raat bhar na sona...baache ki dekhbhaal karna" Bala said, something along these lines...he asks Raman how he manages with two bundles of naughtiness in d house..." madrassan hai naa...sambhalne me liye"
As they bond over some light-hearted masti, everybody's ready for the ceremony to start...but Vandita's waiting for someone to arrive...and then...Mihika arrives...with a BANG...Literally...coz everybody's eyes have become saucer-like...Raman rolled his eyes in a 'Hey Bhagwan, yeh Madrasaan auratein' and Ishita looked like would scratch Mihika's face anytime :p
In comparison to the others, Mihika looked drab...she wasnt wearing anything spectacular as such...Appa welcomed her with a smile on her face...Vandita held her hand and squeezed it with some gushing sisterly affection...
Shagun gets a call from the farzi doctor, who's asking her what to next ..."Do teen ghante use uljha ke rakho...aur phir chupchap wahan se gayab ho jana...apna SIM destroy kar dena...aur mujhe phone mat karna" As she finishes the convo, smug and at her bitchiest self, she turns to face Ishita looking daggers at her...Did she hear? Did she NOT? Kal hi pata chalega...
Also, the company's MD has arrived for quarterly review, and is upset at finding that the last three contracts have continuously been given to Ashok's company...apparently, the tenders were of a relatively low value...The MD's upset at finding out about Mr. Subramaniam being transferred to Chennai, without consulting him...Then he asks the office employee to get the accounts status and the guy says that Mr.Iyer looks after it (the new Chief Accountant) looks after it...
PRECAP - Full-on drama reserved for this whole week...The MD and his chamchas have arrived at Appa's place..to inquire about the petty cash worth 5lakhs mising from the locker...Raman requests them to leave at the moment, and that he will look into it...MD is is no mood to listen to him...So...the scene is set...and Appa will be IMPLICATED...If Raman blames Appa WITHOUT finding out the facts first, I'm really gonna be pissed
This blame will also support Bala's Chudail Mother's assumption of Appa stealing from his Damaad's office to spend lavishly on HIS daughter's godh-bharai...TRUST EKTA...TO MAKE IT AS UGLY AS POSSIBLEš”
P.S. I will not mind ANY of the nonsense shown as long as the show is sprinkled generously with IshRa romance...and their SCORCHING CHEMISTRY heats up the screen...and also, as long as Raman doesnt behave like an MCP inclined to suspecting his in-laws, like many others in this countryš
