Bang on post Jo . If possible please post this on forum 32 or on Twitter. Let c.v's know what blunder they have don't to the story and how they can still make changes to attract TRP audience as well.

And Suvi,Pearly.. Your responses are great to read too...😃.

The show has a lot going for it.. True... But it's been mishandled one too many times.. Also true!

The USP was the buildup of the love story and that wasn't given any importance.. It was treated like a nice to have and inserted in between ridiculous tracks like the deal and the pregnancy tracks which went on and on and I am sure drove away a lot of viewers!

This was even before the forced genre change. In fact after the genre change we have had more SaAz and we actually escaped the planned track of Arzoo turning into Sahir which to me sounded disastrous back then!
That is ironic isn't it. While it was a romantic drama we had less of the lead couple. And now that it is a thriller we have more of Saaz 😆😆😆

And humor is distinctly lacking after the initial episodes as is detailing. As Pearly mentioned and Binu even in shows like Hum Hain Na... Not much happens per episode and that's the hallmark of daily soaps.. That you understand broadly what's happening always!
Here they are always in a rush to finish off scenes and tracks especially those involving the leads.
I know! One can put up with it so many times... but after a while it begins to grate bad.
Their main suspense was Sahirs past and they kept it under wraps for too long while showing everything else.. And they revealed so many mysteries that we cannot keep track even. Also, what would be high points are very tamely or atrociously handled.. Like the saaz wedding.. The revelation of Alvira being Sahirs mil and not mother.. The revelation of zeenat to Arzoo... None of these had the impact they should have considering they were supposed to be story changers!
Because these big turning points are rushed through in an episode or two! The big events barely register.
And I agree that they should go easy on the complexities they keep introducing... It stops being entertaining when you cannot enjoy without analyzing.. Simple! The characters in the show should be confused with each other and not the audience with them! Sometimes we cannot conclude on what a dialog or expression meant after reams of analysis then how will those who just watch ever understand? And why will they beat themselves up like we do?
This is my current grouse 😆 - too many secrets and mysteries at the same time. I am irritated that ek bhi sawal ka jawab nahin mil raha. I am seriously convinced that the CVs are not happy with the answers they have come up with and are therefore delaying the khulasa until they get a better answer to all the questions they have created 😆
They seem to be getting SaAz right now more often than before but a sprinkling of Saaz in the middle of total silliness in the name of thriller will not sustain interest! They need to build on their strength which is SaAz and the thriller or shocker elements can revolve around those. Basically they need to make the story simpler... They need to check what mysteries they have already and start solving those one by one so viewers feel some closure in the story and they need to bring up Sahirs past to the audience if not Arzoo as soon as possible!

What keeps me hooked is Sahir whom I love analyzing.. Reading about.. Watching..😉.. SaAz... And of course Harshad Chopda... Majorly...
No! I wouldn't have guessed 🤣. Priya, you, me and a lot of others are here for Harshad.
And Shivya is doing a very good job as well!

And I really want to know sahirs past and how they plan to tie all the lose ends!
Sigh yes!

Ecri I am sorry. Sorry sorry sorry 😭. I have been having a crazy, busy day.

Anyway first up, even after all the lacking loopholes, script inconsistency and character butchering , 4lions is a ph tht has so far remained awy from the typical saas bahu genre 😡

Tht is one reason which brings me back to them , of course the romance bit n the leads chemistry is AGN a given n they never fail there 😳
The saas bahu thing is something I never cottoned on to. But I have not watched anything by this PH before Humsafars either.

I agree when I sit down to watch tv after a hard day at work ...I need an eye candy, some light moments n some Romance n not a weeping door mat trying to Prove her innocence to hwe wicked MIL n Mr. Whimp of a hubby ..I swear I can't take tht AT ALL ..period 😭

And HS will all it's downs is trying to pace up..n I always will support the ones who try n not the ones who give up 😃
More power to HUMSAFARS 😃
Wonderful post AGN 👏 Thanks Ecri... btw hope you are feeling better.

Only if they had good consistent story telling, consistent screen play and script ... and better direction and editing ... i see no reason why show couldn't do well

True .. cause basic story is good. And actors are good. but the other pillars of a good show (listed by you) are all missing.

I have said this before and I say it again , the show has a lot of positives but it is clearly lacking in pace and balance. Let me be honest, I haven't watched a daily soap in 10 years, but the moment I saw the promo's of HS , I was sure I wanted to watch it. There is something about it that touches your heart right away , be it Sahir's pain or Aarzoo's headstrong nature , this show was unique. It is not so unique anymore , but it is as far as I know one of the best story lines.

My mother watches a lot of soaps , regional ones and now she sits and watches this with me and her opinion is that most of the shows she watches don't have a story at all. There will be episodes and episodes of people going for a party for example. How excited they are , how they dress up etc and finally the party or the pooja or whatever , spreads over at least 3 episodes and then there is a conflict in the fourth one , people discuss it in the 5th and some twist for the friday. Thats how daily soaps run for years. But we have a twist here almost everyday, it is difficult to catch up. She had missed a few episodes and I told her last night that Alvira is not Sahir's mother and she said ... in 2 days it all changed 😆

There has to be detailing, that is extremely important. Here leave alone the details , we are asking CV's what happened to the bullet ... no answer , how were SaAz rescued ... no answer.CV's have to understand that there is no magic bullet , no shortcut . Copy from others by all means or as they say get inspired by others, read the classics , but there is no substitute for a good screen play. Thats what holds it all together.

End of the day, most of us are already tired. You don't want to think anymore. Be it a thriller or romance we want to be able to follow it easily. Call me dumb because I don't want to think, it really doesn't matter to me. I keep telling myself that had I thought so hard while studying I would have gone places
😉 , instead we all think so much about this show , but the CVs seem to be ignoring us again and again ! Whatever !

Completely agree with you... I am also watching any soap after 12 years...and I liked it of course for SaAz but also the pace...I felt there was a creative vision that reeled under pressure and it has overall lost balance..
I'm still an optimist and I hv signed up to see it as long as it lasts because even today, it still somewhere connects..
I don't even know if I wd return to this forum ever after HS..
