Kashmir resurrects painful memories for Katrina Kaif

For Katrina Kaif, who was in Kashmir shooting for the film Fitoor, the sojourn in The Valley was not exactly a pleasant affair. It was Katrina's first time in Kashmir, and working on Abhishek Kapoor's film there was a sort of home-coming for the actress.

A daily quoted a friend of Katrina's as saying, "For Katrina, Kashmir carried painful memories of her childhood when her father was a part of her family in London. After he left, she never saw him again. Kashmir was always associated in her mind with her father. She had stored it away."

When she landed in Kashmir, Katrina had to deal with the deluge of her painful memories, and she took it all in her stride. The friend of the actress added, "She never wanted to go there. But she isn't the kind of girl who would run away from a situation. We are sure she has by now dealt with the painful memories of her father."

The last time Katrina had gotten close to The Valley was when she had to shoot in Ladakh for Jab Tak Hai Jaan. But that time, her shoot schedule didn't require her to visit Kashmir properly as such. This time around, Kaif was spotted shooting for Fitoor with Aditya Roy Kapur in several locations in Kashmir. When a kiss between Aditya and Katrina in Nishat Bagh, Srinagar, was being filmed, that too, had made it to the news.
