Veera's heartbeat raced as she realized her close proximity with Baldev, they were trapped under a pile of clothes, Baldev caught her waist from behind, Veera's heart skipped several beats, she got goose bumps all over her body and forgot to breathe. He grabbed her waist tight, as if hugging her, Veera was unable to move, he moved and Veera moved with him, he rolled over to his left side, the clothes moved here and there with the moment of their legs, Veera was on her torso now, and Baldev on her but he didn't shift his weight on her, he left her then and moved away.
Veera just lay there trying to come back from shock, Baldev moved all the remaining clothes and then looked at Veera who was still in that position, he sat down and put his hand on the back of her head
Baldev; Veera?
Veera jerked
Baldev; kya hua, uth ja mene sare kapde hata diye hen, aao
he held her shoulders and helped her get up, Veera realized her dupatta was out of order, she corrected it nervously. She was still breathless until she saw the mess in the room, this got her back to her senses and turned to face Baldev.
Veera; ye sab?
Baldev; wo bg ne sb saman nhi rakha khud se esa hi krskta hun me

She left the room, Baldev smiled widely.
Baldev; are wah, khrab kamra dekh k boli to sahi, pr ye bhi ese boli jese haath jod k prathna kr rhi ho, uff daant nhi skti thi kya, ek baar sagai hojaye phir me iska ache se imtihan lunga.
The next day everyone was busy in preparation for the engagement, Veera went shopping with all the ladies and Baldev kept chilling outside with Billa and Jaggi. Balwant and Ranvi were busy in renovation of Balwant's house.
The whole day passed and Veera and Baldev were unable to see each other.
The next day Baldev was not allowed to see Veera until it was time for the engagement ceremony. Baldev wore a dark blue sherwani with silver work on it and a silver shalwar.
Veera on the other hand was taking a lot of time, her friends were going crazy with her makeup. She wore a light blue lehenga and a blue choli with silver work on both, it was Amrit's idea to have the couple color co-ordinated. Veera's hair were done nicely with small braids on her head and hair open loose behind, a delicate necklace on her neck and many bangles in her hands, a small bindi on her brow partition and a maang teeka on her hair partition. She looked beautiful as she saw herself in the mirror after Tina's make up session, Veera smiled.
Chaiji; kinni soni lag rhi he meri cheechdi kahin nazar na lag jaye
Veera blushed. Chaiji put a black dot behind her ear.

Ratan went away, Tina and Amrit went behind her.
Veera; chaiji..beeji abhi bhi mainu aashirwaad nhi dengi ki?
She got tears in her eyes.
Chaiji; na puttar ese rote nhi, tu sampooran ka har sapna pura kr rhi he, teri jesi beti to bht kam kismat walon ko milti he, dekhna teri bidai pe sbse ziada Ratan hi royegi.
Veera smiled and hugged chaiji.
Veera; mainu aap sb ki bht yaad ayegi, me kese rahungi wahan?
Chaiji; puttar pati ka pyar milega na to tu hamen bhi bhool jayegi
Veera; chaiji menu bht dar lagta he
Chaiji; sbko lagta he meri bachi, chal ab, tera dulha intizar kr rha hoga kabse
Veera smiled again, Tina and Amrit returned.
Tina; chal Veera jaldi kr, jeeju ko dekhe gi na to tu behosh hojayegi, he's looking so hot!!!
Chaiji; oye chup kr choti bansuri, meri cheechdi kya kam sundar he, wo na hojaye behosh meri cheechdi ko vekh ke.chalo me chalti hun tum log le k aao ise

Tina brought Veera's sandals and put them on her feet.
Amrit; bilkul cinderella wale sandals jese hen na
Tina; haan, Veera tu bhi na apna ek juta bhool jana seedhiyon pe phir jeeju utha lenge
Amrit; pr wo to Veera ko jante hen uske joote se thodi use identify krna he
Tina; oh ho you fool, wese hi fairytale feel k liye, chal chod, let's go Veera.
They took Veera outside, Baldev was standing with Billa and Jaggi, Jaggi gestured to look behind, Baldev turned and his eyes caught Veera, Veera's eyes were lowered she couldn't see him. Baldev was mesmerized by her, he looked at her from head to toe again, in all the crowd and noise he could still hear the music of her anklets, she looked up slowloy and his eyes caught hers, she was unable to look away, Baldev gestured with his hand to tell her she looks wonderful. she smiled and lowered her eyes again. Her heart beat was fast as she walked towards the special seats for the bride and groom.
Baldev sat by her too when she was settled. People were staring at them as Gunjan and Amrit brought the rings and their stares made Veera nervous.
Chaiji; Veera haath aage kr
Veera was nervous she was unable to move her hand, Baldev put forward his hand, she looked at him and he smiled, she hesitantly gave her left hand in his, he slid the ring on to her ring finger, she did the same. Everybody clapped, and Gunjan burst a balloon which was hanging above Veera and Baldev, glitters fell from it and onto Veera and Baldev. Ranvi fed ladoo to both. Then sweets were distributed among all the guests, and finally the staring ended.
Baldev; boht khoobsurat lag rahi ho
Veera; aap bhi bht handsome lag rhe hen
Baldev; aaye haye chalo tere mun se mere waaste tareef to niqli
Veera smiled.
Baldev; ye sb hamen yahan bitha k khud maze lenge, sagai hamari aur hum hi bore honge, me nhi hone dunga ye.
Veera; to phir
Baldev; tu dekhna, in sbko chakma de k tenu kuch khas jaga le jaonga, ab to sagai hogai ab to mere naal chal skti ho na akele
Veera nodded.
Baldev; changa to phir tu vekhti ja aage hta he kya
Baldev smirked, Veera got worried.
