Saif Ali Khan with wife Kareena Kapoor Khan
Mumbai: Our filmi khabrus tell us that Saif Ali Khan has asked the makers of Udta Punjab (UP) to give him a narration of the script. Saif, who is believed to be pretty possessive about wife Kareena Kapoor, wants to be kept in the loop regarding the scenes she has in UP with leading man (and ex-boyfriend) Shahid Kapoor.
Our sources pointed out that pehle bhi, Saif's possessive attitude resulted in Bebo's ouster from Karan Johar's Shuddhi. Kareena had been paired with another former beau, Hrithik Roshan, in the film.
"Saif has never interfered in Kareena's career. He is there when she needs his opinion. Saif is a businessman as well as an actor, above all, he is Kareena's husband, so it's very natural for them to discuss their respective projects," said a source close to Saif-Kareena, unwilling to lend credence to the reports.
Shuddhi does seem to be a sore topic for Kareena, and her exit from the film has caused much talk in filmi circles. Now Saif might not be an insecure husband, but he would want to make certain that Bebo doesn't feel uncomfortable working with former flames.
Kareena and Saif have been told that scenes between her and Shahid would be kept to a minimum in Udta Punjab. Perhaps Saif just wants to double-check the arrangement? Hai na?
