Please bear with me. I did not watch Saturday's episode in this series and thus do not know what happened there. Please read the previous 2 WUs to understand what happened in the series.
An obviously fake volcano erupts, sending lava and gas into the air.
A group of friends (I can't tell if it's 5, 6, or 7) are out in a jungle area, climbing a mountain, when they hear a loud explosion. They go to check the sound of the explosion to find the volcano is live (It was a volcano?!! Until one of the friends didn't say that I was assuming someone was bombing the mountain!) and fake rocks start coming towards the friends. One friend almost ends up down the cliff, but she is saved by 2 other friends. Then one says that we've come here to save Juhi and we have to do that. Another friend, Rahul, starts fighting with the others over that. They see a help signal and start following it to find Juhi. They are getting tired and thirsty, but go on. At that time the volcano goes off again sending fake rocks towards them again. One of the friends, Reena, gets hurt and Meera, the girl who was about to fall down the cliff, bandages it. Danny suggests to stop for the night and Arvind, Juhi's boyfriend, finally agrees. They stop for the night. Arvind is going crazy thinking about Juhi and another fight starts. Arvind leaves in anger to search for Juhi in the dark. (Can we please get on with the story? This looks like a daily serial. And I'm really getting bored.) He hears Juhi's voice and follows it. The other friends are divided, but finally decide to go to sleep and will find him in the morning. That's when there is another supposed volcano explosion and fake rocks come towards their site. In the process Danny goes after a man, but loses him. He runs back to his site and finds all his friends missing. (Really this is too much!) He sees blood and dragging marks. He decides to ask the villagers for help.
In the morning, the sarpanch is at the fake village tea stall and asks for tea. Danny arrives there in a bad state and asks for CID. CID arrives and Abhijeet is there in his mooch (ugh now I'm really hating this mooch). Danny recounts what had happened. Abhijeet suggests that maybe they left because of the danger, but then Danny tells them about the blood and dragging marks. He tells them that they came to search for their friend, Juhi, who had come here a week ago to do some photography and she hasn't come back. Abhijeet asks to see the place where they were and the sarpanch offers to show them the place.
The team (Abhijeet, Nikhil, Shreya, Jaywanti, and Karan (How can that be? I thought he left! Or was this shot before he left?)) reach the site and Shreya finds a broken watch. Danny recognizes it as Rahul's watch. Nikhil finds that everything is as is. They start following the dragging marks and deduce that the motive is something else. They start searching the nearby area as well. (Anyone get yet how this ties with the last 2 days?) Abhijeet smells something and sees a hand sticking out of the ground. Nikhil sees another area where the dirt was recently dug. With suddenly-produced digging tools, the team dig and find 2 bodies, but they aren't Danny's friends. Abhijeet tells Nikhil to get a helicopter and get the bodies sent to forensics. Then Shreya points something out on her phone and Abhijeet realizes that someone is keeping an eye on them.
On the other side, a tired Arvind keeps going just for Juhi. He hears Juhi's voice again and starts running towards the sound. Thats when he turns and yells.
In the forensic lab, Freddy is watching Dr. Salunkhe and then Dr. Salunkhe makes a comment. (A demeaning scene of Freddy.) ACP Pradyuman, Daya, and Sachin reach there and the fun continues. Then Dr. Salunkhe says that both were stabbed to death 6 days ago. He adds that they may have been beaten as well before death. ACP Pradyuman tells Freddy to check the missing persons database. Freddy does that and immediately finds a record on the man. He's Raghuveer and is a volcano researcher. (How convenient. *sarcastically*)
The CID team start talking about Raghuveer. He had no reason to come here. Then there is a landslide and the sarpanch, Maua, is knocked into the cliff by a fake rock. Abhijeet tells them to send patrol police to check if he's alive. Then Daya calls and Abhijeet is told that the body is Juhi's. Danny is pained and Abhijeet comforts Danny. Shreya says that Pankaj just texted that Juhi and Raghuveer had never talked before this. The team and Danny head towards the last location Juhi had been in. Abhijeet and Nikhil willingly give the little bit of water left to Danny. Jaywanti spots a hut and the friends are all found there. Shreya spots a radio frequency machine. Abhijeet opens a container and finds dynamite. The friends reveal that some masked people dragged and carried them away after knocking them out. Abhijeet deduces that they use the dynamite to create landslides (Ah so my initial assumption was correct!) and then commit their crimes after that. One friend says that they were called towards paschim. Abhijeet leaves Karan with the friends and the other 4 head out.
Abhijeet spots a cave and then in obvious fakeness they make their way into the cave. As they are coming into the cave, 4 men are carrying something out and they recognize the 4 as CID. There is a fight amongst the 4. There is also one person hiding behind the rocks. Then Abhijeet finds expensive rocks in one of the bags and realizes they are smuggling. Shreya finds a small tunnel and jumps in and catches the last masked man. (It's the sarpanch!) He pretends to beg for forgiveness as the fighting is on above ground. (Err I thought there were only 4 men.) In true filmi style, the head catches Shreya's hand, gets the gun, and throws her into the lava. She catches the edge and just as the man is about to kill Shreya, Abhijeet and Jaywanti save her. Abhijeet removes the mask to reveal the sarpanch who reveals everything that had happened. (Booorrrinnnggg!) The sarpanch tries to attack Abhijeet after that, but slips and falls into the lava himself. Abhijeet ends by saying "Desh ki sampati kisi ek ki nahi hoti hai. Desh ki sampati desh ki hoti hai."
Then the officers and friends rush out of site as the volcano gets ready to explode. They reach a site above the lava and at this time helicopters fly in to save them. The CID officers first help the friends onto the helicopters and then get on themselves leaving the exploding lava behind. The friends thank CID.
Notes:
- There is one scene that stood out for me apart from the climax. It was when the CID officers were drinking water. First Shreya and Jaywanti drank the little bit of water that was left. Then it was given to Nikhil. But he decided not to take it and gave it to Abhijeet. Abhijeet took it and made an excuse that he wasn't thirsty and gave it to Danny because there was very little left. I felt that was a very kind gesture by both of them.
- Apart from that I'm still confused if I should call this a good episode because it was straightforward or if I should beat my head against the wall for watching a boring episode.
