Appreciate your post. There is probably a 10,000 times, or even bigger, pool of voters who have no idea what IF is. While most of the members here are posting for fun, there may be members who have their motives to support/promote a particular contestant.
Who knows where the phrase fixed winner started and what the motivation behind is but you are right that a winner with highest votes is the winner and not fixed.
