Sad episode today. When Anjali was buried under the snow, she was reliving all her childhood memories as they say often happens when people are dying or they feel they are dying. Release of DMT in the brain or something.
Her feelings of neglect on account of her dad and craving for his affection were so poignant. In that scene, where her Mother was calling her Dad to come for her birthday party, he said you can give any excuse you like. He says if it was a son I could have handled it but since it's a daughter, you have to handle it.

But if it was indeed his son, I am sure his mother would not have distanced herself from him saying that oh, it's a male so you have to handle it. In fact, mothers dote on their sons.

Is it normal that sons always get love from both the parents while daughters are seen to manage with a little affection.

Too prolonged flashback..i thoufht that was unnecesarry
I mean we know that anjali is a neglected child from day1, why show it again and again.? It ws a filler epi and a complete turn off for me Imo. Anjali's childhood scenes were distracting and cut the flow of the adventure in a greay way.
They could have shown each character's struggle to come out of the snowsheath rather than this nonsense.
Also the story is stagnating.. They are repeating the same thing again aand again!

It's a emotional turn when she recalled her worst childhood with Jagat.. I'm feeling bad for this girl for one who craves for fathers love who dispatched her at each moment at every where.. I loved today's episode for many reasons.. Exactly! None of the mother will say that it's male you can handle it. Both genders comes from mothers womb..??Right.. Who can decide it either its boy or girl? If every women started to think like that, Jagat then none of the boy could get love, support and courage from his mother.. His answers are so insensitive and inconsiderate!!
Indeed she felt it might be her last breath and that's the reason she recalled her childhood moments though he couldn't get his love but her memories always stays with her.. For all these struggles what she was going right now it's only for his beloved father.. Brilliant episode!!

I don't know why everyone keeps saying that it's boring. Right from the start of the show, the director has provided us an insight into each of the characters' backgrounds which is very commendable in my opinion. It's a slice of life kind of show not an adventure reality show where we can only see what's actually happening. Here the director takes us into the minds' of the leads.

@ Rajqa Naren says he comments to increase the forum rank. Let him be. 😆

Girls seldom get both parents' love equally. But poor Anjali was always craving for her dad's love but never got it.

Yes Anjali's childhood flashbacks told us what we already knew but it was about the impact really. They really got me emotional. If it's all about just 'knowing', someone could've very well narrated the script of Everest to us instead of making a whole show on it. I don't see this episode as a filler at all.
@TM: In a lot of parts, sons are the preferred children and I won't get into the debates and horrendous practices surrounding that. But particularly in Jagat's case, fine he is disappointed, but his literal HATRED for his daughter can never be justified specially since she is so devoted to him. One would expect him to melt over the years. It's just so sad!

I never said its boring.Don't get me wrong. I said at this point, it is unnecessary to drag a point that is already established. Because it takes the actual excitemwnt of the present track of climbing. The avalanche part wS one intense moment and the writers chose to mar it with a flashback- thats distracting!
Logically anjali's hallucination ws very apt.. But such a long fb just cut the flow of the scene for me..

Also I dont like how anjali is shown as an idealistic girl...

@bright-star it was very much needed. It was a life and death situation. Those memories in which Anjali sees herself as an unwanted, worthless child to her father can very well make a person stop struggling and decide that why live such a worthless life, why live at all when your father is not accepting you, he doesn't want you. Because that FB was that negative.
But then Anjali pushes the snow with all the might. Because she chose to respect her mother's love and affection over her father's neglect. Sarita's voice ringing in the BGM is the force that drives her to live. Her mother wants her, her mother loves her, she has to live for her mother.
It was Sarita who won when Anjali pushed herself to come out of the snow, it was her love for her daughter which superseded Jagat's hatred and lack of affection toward her.
