Amit Paul vs. Divakar (Yeh jo des...)

"Yeh jo des hai tera" from the soundtrack of Swades is one of my all time favourite songs, and it was almost a dream come true to have Amit Paul (My current favourite Indian Idol contestent) sing this song. Having said that, I've come across a clip from Youtube with wiz-kid Divakar (ZeeTV Kids Sa Re Ga Ma Pa fame) singing the same song about one year ago this time and couldn't help myself but to compare to two singers. Who sang this "mushkil" song better?

In my honest opinion, and despite my high regards for Amit as a singer, I'd side with Divakar with this one. His singing in this song registers a subtle feeling of sensitivity and just the right amount of passion needed to sing a song that is otherwise quite hypnotizing.

I must say Diwakar sang the song better- his song has more emotions.

Unfortunately, I just did. Why did Shekhar ask people to vote for her after that performance? Terrible.

I am . She started it in low scale but went flat and at high notes she literally brayed. HR and Shekhar had some nerve to request people to vote for her after this.
