ravan did win over all planets...according to astrology shani will bring his kaal...now for shani to effect a person its neccessary tht it look at tht person...meaning shani's drishti shud be on tht person. when ravan had won over all planets...he made sure shani was below his feet facing down ..this made him unbeatable. so narad played a game , he told ravan wats use of havin ur enemy under ur feet when u cant see his pain of defeat in his eyes, hearing this ravan made shani face him at tht instant shani's drishti fell on him and from then on his mind stopped workin properly, its for same reason tht ravan though so learned and mighty , cudnt see the sense tht sita was his daughter and she was the kaal ( destruction) for him. his mind playyed tricks on him. and thru shani's effect all other planets though tied up n under ravan , still they cud cast their influenece on him thru shani.
