Part Two
As soon as the word of Maan's acceptance was spread everyone got down to work. The ladies of the different household were present in the grand hall of Khurana Mansion, to set the dates of the upcoming rituals finally leading towards the wedding. The highly excited couple Dev and Geet were there to, unfortunately NT was there missing her partner who seemed to have no interest in her or the wedding. This made her wonder whether this man was the right choice for her, but her parents were too adamant on getting her married to this man as it would bring a boost in their business. Sometimes she really wondered if she was their daughter or their business was...oh poor NT. But she had to put up this glee smile for her parents and her friend who was really eager to get married but wouldn't get married if she wasn't a bride too...they had promised each other to get married together at the same place, same time and same attire they were like twins...everything had to be identical...well it came as a package from birth, yes they shared the same birth date what a coincidence!
Well their parents were friends and so were they!
Geet was settled with Dev and this somehow did make NT jealous at times but shrugged it off as she believed that probably after marriage Maan will be her knight in shining armor...love her like Dev love Geet.
NT was brought out of her reverie by Geet's scream "OMG! We will have to hurry up...NT baby we are getting married in a week."
Dadimaa and all the other elders agreed with the date, and so the auspicious date set was in a week.
Dadimaa was more than happy with this date as she feared Maan's mood swings... he's mind could change anytime...
Time went on and on...Maan was the least interested person in this whole affair...he just wished he could escape all this crap...
Everyone else seemed to be so delighted with the happenings of the recent days. Well Maan didn't even show efforts to at least smile at anyone. He was just there for the sake of his Dadimaa. He just wanted her to be happy. His Dadimaa was there for him when his lying cheating mother had left with their father's fortune with another man. He wanted to give all the happiness in the world to his Dadimaa. It was a good thing that their father had kept their grandfather's and his companies separate and so their mother wasn't able to run off with everything they owned. That was how they survived...with their Dadimaa and Maan at a tender age of 16 trying to revive a dying company...Vicky and Annie were to young to understand what all was going on..Maan had taken care of them like a mother...his little family means the world to him. And he would do anything to make them happy..even if it means to get married to this girl he didn't know.
Geet was super excited getting married to the man she dreamed of marrying. She was just sad about leaving her family. She had everything perfect in her life. She was getting married to the man of her dreams, she had a perfect career and a perfect family.
Dev was on cloud nine. Getting married to Geet was like a dream come true. Just another addition to his perfect life...he just wanted her to come and brighten his life even more...this all like a dream...she kept refusing him because of NT. Not that he didn't like or didn't consider her a friend, it was just that it was he got whatever he wanted whenever he wanted but Geet made him wait. But it was all worth the wait...he just couldn't wait for their wedding day
