A lot of comparisons are being drawn between Gautam's situation and a few past incidents.Two of the more popular comparisons are:
-Soni's curse to Gautam and Gautam's curse to Ali.
-Gautam apologizing to Karishma and Ali apologizing to Gautam!
Let's see how justified people are in drawing the two comparisons.
-Coming to the curse thing first.
After a fight with Gautam,Soni cursed Gautam and said that if her vrat is true(or whatever) Gautam will soon be punished.She was called out for it by a snapdeal caller and maybe a panelist.
After yesterday's incident today we saw Gautam telling Upen how he won't forgive Ali and god will punish him for his deeds.
Now,both the incidents might sound similar but the biggest difference is conditioning.Soni conditioned god.Soni sorta questioned god.Gautam simply said Ali will be punished for his deeds.Gautam didn't say he should be.Instead he said 'Ali ko apni karmon ki Saza milegi'.
Moreover,Gautam hadn't questioned Soni's character or hadn't abused her.He had simply argued with her over something very petty.Here Ali had questioned Gautam's character and even he was guilty of it.So clearly,the comparison is rather FLAWED.
-Coming to the apology thing.
After Gautam abused Karishma on "national television" he was asked to apologize and repent his actions.Everyone FORCED him to apologize and be sorry for his actions.Even After repeatedly crying and apologizing,Karishma didn't forgive him and instead ridiculed him.Everyone ISOLATED him and he was made to feel inferior.No one came to his support initially.
Now after questioning Gautam's character on "national television" Ali went to apologize but Gautam snapped.Everyone supported Ali and said Gautam's reaction was OTT and souldnt have come at such a magnitude.Ali wasn't made feel guilty and he wasn't isolated.He didn't cry and tried to apologize just once.He had the support of the entire house.What he said was 1000 times dirtier and preposterous.
Again the comparison is as absurd as it could get.The two situations are in no way similar.In both incidents it is Gautam who is left alone.And it is Gautam who is made the HERO!
Gautam FTW...I didn't support Gautam during the mirchi fiasco or even after that but now I am 100% in support of Gautam and dekhte hain ko Harata hay Gautam ko...;)
