After Shaandaar', Alia Bhatt gears up for Udta Punjab'

Mumbai: Alia Bhatt is indeed going places. The girl who made her debut as an urban Indian youth in Karan Johar's Student of the Year', wowed audiences with her spellbinding performance in Imtiaz Ali's Highway'.

Soon the girl bagged roles in 2 States' and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' and eventually got a chance to romance her childhood crush - Shahid Kapoor - in Shaandaar'.

And in Udta Punjab', she will be paired opposite Shahid once again. Alia started shooting for the film Thursday.

She took to Twitter to share this news with her fans.

Directed by Abhishey Chaubey, Udta Punjab' will also feature Kareena Kapoor Khan, reports suggest. And according to the latest buzz, Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan will play Kareena's love interest in the film.

So soon ...???

I thought the shooting is not going to start before the summers. Anyways it good because she has only signed Udta Punjab and Ayan Mukherjee's next with Ranbir which I think is not going to take off any time soon

I just read a couple of days ago that it's supposed to be a remake of Hollywood movie Traffic. So based on that I'm assuming Kareena has Catherine Zeta Jones' character and Alia Erika Christianson's. Neither is playing second fiddle to the other. I'm guessing Shahid probably has the role that Benecio Del Toro had. I don't think he interacted with either ladies either. But I'm sure they will bollywoodize this movie and make changes.

Assuming the Traffic angle is true at all.

I think Kareena is supposed to start her portions in March. If the Traffic rumors are true Shahid can do his portions after Farzi whenever that is and it won't affect the other two ladies schedules.

I think Alia has Homi's next with Sushant in the summer.
