Sushant loves quotes, so for his birthday let's take a look at some of his own quotable lines!

"Coming from a family of doctors and engineers, I'd never planned acting, and enrolled myself in engineering. I love physics and maths, and dance!"

"Dance is something I love - it is not the steps, I completely fall in love with the music and groove."

"Dancing and acting talent is surely the main ingredients film makers look for in an actor but I don't look at it that way. When I am in front of the camera, I am not myself - I express as an actor."

"Every morning I have around 5-6 aloo ka parathas and wash 'em down with a tall glass of lassi." (2009)

"I don't have a good idea of a proper diet. My martial arts instructor gave me a diet chart. But I myself followed it for only about one and a quarter day" (2009)

"I am currently avoiding fried food and sweets because I have to eat all the boring but good things such as sprouts, boiled vegetables. I had to move away from my favorite aaloo and gobhi paranthas that I savoured every morning with butter to all the boring things and a lot of protein shakes." (2014)

"For beginners, I would say they should enter in the industry to enjoy work and not for fame."

"I just wish that one Friday I have 3 films releasing by Yash Chopra, Vishal Bharadwaj, and Shekhar Kapur, and yes, I shall have an apartment beside the apartment behind Mannat which will be my Jannat."

"I had just three ambitions when I came to Mumbai. To work in a Yash Raj film, I've done that. Second, was to do a Pepsi commercial, which I've done now too. Third was to be on the cover of Filmfare. I've fulfilled two of them. Hopefully one day..." (He later completed his third ambition and featured on the May 2014 cover of Filmfare.)

"You are too fat to be in the Olympics and too ugly to be on TV." (Quoting his favorite coffee mug)

"Well, we are all psychologically insecure. We all need to feel secure. Sometimes we seek that security from our job and do everything possible to save it. Some believe they can find it in a relationship, so they hang on to it. But you're never really secure; that's how human nature is."

"People assume I'm arrogant because I don't talk. It takes me a while to open up. Even on the sets, it's only after I get to know the director that I can be myself."

"I'm lucky to have Ankita in my life. I don't know what I'd do without her. She understands me. People say things, people write rumours and she stills trusts me. That level of trust is something that I love about her... That level of trust and unconditional love is rare in today's world."

"Your future lies in your dreams, so go to sleep."

"Whether I am behind the camera or I am facing it, I will enjoy whatever I do. It hardly matters in which segment I work. For me only working hard and enjoying is the most important thing."
