I watched this movie a couple of times. I did not find anything offending any religion. On the contrary it was self explanatory about the attitude of people regarding different aspects of life. How one can fall prey to the false religionmongers who make any statement without realising the effect it would have on their followers. The 'daan-peti' scene was hilarious where the priest 'robs' the money of a person who did not want to donate. The intimidating policeman talking 'rishwat' and taking it at the same time was shameful to watch although it is a reality. The great 'Baba' with his spiritual powers trying to fool the public with his false powers was a treat to watch. He wanted everyone to believe that he has a connection with the almighty. And the one statement of Aamir where he says that 'how can one man sitting in one corner of the world which is a minute part of the whole universe protect the interests of God' was really stunning. There were many more things which can be mentioned here.Yes this movie is worth watching and learning a lot. Yes religion is necessary but the beliefs have to change according to the times. Hope I have not offended anyone by writing all this. And surely there must be many who want to contradict this. Your comments are welcome.

The only controversial thing about PK, according to me, is that it represented the one common truth that governs every religion on the planet. As defenders of our faith(s), we cannot bear the truth. Nobody likes to admit the other person's freaking right, you know?
