Of course, I knew we were going to see some major footage, dramatics and tears in the tale of the not-yet divorced pati patni jodi. But, itna drama, that too on such a cheap level, was a bit too much for my reality TV palate.
Pati - I have 1001 issues with the idiotic, moronic and C grade person that Rahul Mahajan is. But, he only goes lower and lower in his character everytime he opens his mouth. His whole trying to make an angle on BB, or his pursuing Karishma like a chipku majnu is so downright messed up behavior. But then, reality TV calls for such monkeys and their downgraded antics to entertain people. His downright disregard for Dimpy shows their relationship angle from his side, which = 0. He has not only called her names, but also disrespected her by making crass comments and then flirting with Tanna so nonchalantly. No shame, no character, no class.
Dimpy- The patni in this situation is totally milking this free footage her husband is providing for sympathy and tears. I know people would sympathize with her, but I have no patience for women who cannot stand up for themselves and continue dealing with such crap for the sake of a show. If I was Dimpy, I would have walked out of the show long back to avoid sharing this national TV space with my husband. But, Dimpy is reality TV queen and is only playing this stuff to her advantage. Is it believable that she is so pally, almost flirtatious with the man she claimed to have abused her physically? Also, if she is so affected, appeal to BB about either getting him out or walking out yourself. It's very highly improbable that she was not briefed about Rahul's entry into the show and asked to give her assent. So, I have 0 sympathy for her.
Woh - Sambhavna, who is simply trying to gain footage by attacking Dimpy. Also, her random hate for her, makes me wonder if she took up the show only to bash Dimpy publicly. She is no less of a crass person and making cheap comments on people. Never liked her in her season, don't like her now.
Another woh - Karishma, who was blamed by Dimpy today for using Rahul. I don't know how much I believe that statement, because so far Tanna has kept a safe distance from men. Although, I did find it weird that even though Rahul has made cheap comments, she had not yet told him to shut up. I liked that she told Dimpy she will stand up for her from now on, but I wouldn't put it pass Tanna to have been pally with Rahul only because he promised her he would fix up votes for her. Either way, we'll see how much she can tell Rahul off in the coming episodes for his chipku and flirting behavior. Tanna has class and dignity, even though she may be selfish.
Basically, BB has got everything they wanted in the form of this couple who is milking money and footage by washing all kinds of dirty linen on national TV. And we, poor folks, are forced to watch this nonsense, instead of the contenders we like and whose antics we would much rather enjoy.
