Nope. Shooting starts in Feb. Yes there was one article by skj which said dates might be reshuffled a bit cos script has to be tweaked a little owing to dhoni's retirement from tests decision, but I don't believe it as of now bcos skj has written too many wrong articles abt this film's dates lately. According to him, paani, this film and homi's film, all start in July, lol.

They can't delay the film till April. Ssr has other commitments plus they intend to release the film this year itself.

I was surprised by the postponement news. There is enough to shoot already. Only thing they might want to tweak would be the ending...something like Dhoni gets the WC for India again(if it happens) and that would be a bitter sweet ending with his retirement as the test captain. But if they are investing so much money then I wont be surprised they might want to wait for DBB. DBB was earlier scheduled to come in Feb so shooting from Feb would have made sense.

Dhoni's biopic is a purely commercial flick. Intentions are to cash Dhoni's popularity atm and mint as much money as possible. They got a good director with credibility to make sure it looks desirable enough.

Necessary or not, the makers will go bat-shit crazy while promoting it. Dhoni fans ( like me) will end up watching it, if it turns out to be any good. 😆

Dont know why people say Sushant isn't interested in commercial flicks. This one is more commercial than anything out there. Who cares? I still like them. All Neeraj, Dhoni and Sushant. 😆

Do biopics really work in India?! Who is going to watch it?

Whether you're a huge cricket fan, love watching cricket or even watch it once in a while you will watch the game and the person. Most men in India prefer watching live matches than some biopic. Besides that Dhoni has just retired from test cricket, hasn't he?!

Most of the biopics are really bad. For the most part very melodramatic. Haven't seen BMB though.
