Saath Nibhana Sathiya-1st Jan WU. Torn between two lovers ...

The episode starts with the family gathered in the garden. It is decorated and there are balloons scattered on the ground. Part of Jigar's surprise for Paridi and his declaration of love, I guess. Paridi is in tears and Vivan is nearby to add more drama. He tells her to tell the truth. She agrees that it is true that she and Vivan knew each other but she wants to come clean to the family. Vivan shouts and tells her to stop her nonsense. Kokila shouts at Paridi to stop her drama. Viva also tells that he and Paridi loved each other very much and that they had got engaged but she then disappeared. Paridi implores him to stop his lies and tell the truth but Vivan is hell bent on digging an even deeper grave for Paridi. He tells how he did not know where she was until she contacted him and told him that she was married now and in a loveless marriage and that her husband did not love her. He also states that she asked him to come and get her and he did even though she did wrong by him. So at her suggestion he deliberately gave the project to Ahem. Paridi shouts at him to stop his lies and tell the truth but he continues. He holds her but she brushes him off. Paridi tries to persuade Jigar that whatever Vivan said is a lie but he is too upset to listen and leaves from there. Paridi tries to go after him but Kokila holds her back and tells her to leave. Paridi shrugs her off and says she won't leave and goes after Jigar. The family leave too. Only Vivan and Radha are left.

She goes to him and smiles, complimenting them both on their plan.

In flashback mode we see that Radha has met up with Vivan and though he is skeptical at first Radha persuades him giving him some cock and bull stuff about losing and not getting back her love but she will help him because she knows how much he loves Paridi. They shake hands.

Radha is shown switching a SIM card on her phone and rings up Jigar pretending to be from telesales, delaying him. She has also given Vivan, Jigar's jacket and he goes to meet Paridi. In the dim light of the garden she probably does not know who she is meeting and is seen hugging him. I think this is where the family comes in.

Back to present. Paridi runs after Jigar asking him to listen to her but he shuts himself away in his room. Kokila and posse come behind her and she is dragged away by Kokila who is adamant that Paridi will not blight the lives of her children and grandchildren.

The family, bar Jigar, gather in the communal area and again Kokila accuses Paridi. Paridi tells them that yes, she and Vivan knew each other but that is in the past. Kokila silences her. Vivan comes there and tells her to stop being obstinate. Paridi shouts at him to stop his lies. She goes to Ahem and pleads with him that Vivan is lying. Ahem is not willing to listen and says that she hurt his brother so he cannot forgive her for that. She goes to Baa, Gopi to plead her case. Both are speechless. She goes to Hetal and asks for forgiveness and that she sees her as a daughter. Paridi aske her if she won't believe her daughter? Hetal pushes her away, accuses her of breaking her trust, her son's heart and laments not listening to Kokila. Kokila grabs hold of Paridi and drags her out of the house and shuts the door. Paridi stands on the other side of the door crying and pleading. All of a sudden the door opens giving Paridi hope. Kokila stands glaring at her before bending down to pick up a case and throws that out too. She again shuts the door. She tells everyone to go to their rooms and that no one and looks at Gopi and says especially you, should not open the door to Paridi. The family leave only Gopi stays.

Paridi still has not moved. She knows that Gopi would still be there and pleads with her. She says that she did wrong by not telling Gopi about Viban, that it is true that she and Vivan got engaged. She also tells that she did not break the engagement because of a whim but because she was afraid for her life. So Vivan is an abusive character. She also tells her that she thought she was hugging Jigar in the garden.

Realising that there is no one to help Paridi picks up her case and goes to leave. There is a whistle, she looks up to see Radha on the balcony smirking away. Radha blows her a kiss and waves her off. Paridi leaves. Radha caresses her stomach and tells the baby to know that whenever you want something she knows how to make good use of people. Hopefully, Vivan will be her undoing.

Gopi is sat on the settee. Kokila comes and admonishes her for still being there. Hetal is still bleating about her trust being broken. How after Rashi's death there was some spark of happiness in Jigar's face but Paridi has thrown it all away. Gopi muses that Paridi loves Jigar so much, she would not do such a thing. Kokila shouts at her and says that Paridi lied. Mamma's boy Ahem cuts in and says to Gopi that his mother is right and if she goes against his mother than there is no place for her with him.

What a wuss. All of them. They seem to have conveniently forgot that in the beginning they all wanted Jigar to marry Paridi and Kokila was the architect of the marriage. What is wrong with the writers? This is the worst type of amnesia ever!

Pre cap. Gopi is holding the jacket that Vivan had been wearing. She thinks to herself that it is Jigar's jacket and has only come back from the dry cleaners. Paridi's words come back to her that she thought she was hugging Jigar and she thinks to herself that something is not right.
