Same night
Zoya mobile buzzed for the fifth time waking her up from her sleep, she checked the caller and then received it..
'Assalm o Alikum ami'
'walaikum asalam zoya...i don't know how the call got disconnect last time...actually i wanted to let you know that najma and asad are coming at home and will stay there for some days...' razia said
'ji ami, i know, they were here by 8 and after having dinner went to sleep...they seemed tired after the long travel..'
'oh that's good...beta tell them that i and ur abu will be back soon and make sure they are comfortable...'
'sure ami, in fact i had told najma that she will stay with us after her admission too no need of shifting in hostel'
'very good zoya...'
'ami, exact when are you both planning to return back...it's already been a week'
'umm i guess day after tomorrow beta...'

After disconnecting the call zoya again drifted back to sleep

'Medicine time' exclaimed zoya walking towards riaz with a glass of water ready to feed him soup forcefully but was shocked seeing the empty bowl 'Ya Allah dadu, you finished soup, without any ex-cuse...what's going on?' she asked cheerfully 'aese hi...' he said shrugging his shoulder, zoya just nodded understanding the reason of it... He wants to know about it...today... 'acha good then...let me take out your medicines ' she said and bend down, opened the last drawer and take out a box, she then took a tablet from it when riaz placed his hand on her head, she looked up at him and then looked down again, placed the box back at it's place closed the drawer 'have it dadu' she ordered passing him med and glass of water, he nodded and had his medicine
She sat silent as he drank the glass of water 'eheem...tell me, why is he here' he asked 'najma got admission in Brown University and he is here with her to complete all formalities so that najma can join it...' zoya explained 'are you ohkay with it zoe..you can tell me, if his presence disturbs you then i will personally ask him to move in some hotel...' riaz suggested 'no dadu, no need of it..rashid uncle will feel bad if he will stay in hotel and not here..plus it's just for 2-3 days...as soon as all the formalities will be done...he will leave..' she said sounding 'ohkay zoya...you never told me why.. Why all this happened and don't want to know the reason also but whatever it is...i don't want you to turn weak...stay strong in front of him, don't let him realize that he still effects you...' 'i am trying dadu...but staying in front of him all the time is a little difficult for me...dadu you always wanted to know that why i came back and what happened? Let me tell you because now i can't it myself..this is hurting me too much' 'you can tell me zoya, you know na that i understands you ...'
'dadu the day before i return back, he invited me at a party at his place...he said he will tell uncle aunty about us but when i reached there, i heard uncle announcing about asad and his late business partner's daughter engagement...i thought asad will deny but they got engaged in front of my eyes..dadu he betrayed me...you know larer he told me that rashid uncle promised tanveer's father and he can't broke it...' tears formed in her eyes reliving that worst day and just to hide her tears she hugged riaz sobbing hard...he too placed his hand on her head patting to calm her...he was upset seeing her crying...for world zoya is her grand daughter but for him she is his best friend...the most important person in this world and he can't tolerate her tears at any cost... 'shhh stop now zoe...you know thay i don't like tears in your eyes..stop now' zoya nodded in the embrace...
She broke the hug as her mobile buzzed, it was haider's msg, she smiled with relief seeing his msg 'what happen? Who it is?' asked riaz 'haider...he said i have to accompany him in a meeting tomorrow...' oh..but how you are on leave and razia won't allow you to go because of me..' riaz asked 'haider already asked humaira and because humaira will be at home tomorrow i can go with him' she smiled 'that's good, finally you will get a little time away with him'

'ayaan i want to come back...i am trying to talk to her since i came here but she is not responding plus her anger...i...i can't tolerate that hatred in her eyes for me, its killing me...' asad said to ayaan his younger brother
'bhaijan, you already knew about how would she react after what you did to her...you had hurt to so much extend that her wounds would take time to heal..but please keep trying, just ask for forgiveness once and leave rest on her...' ayaan said
'she won't forgive me...she hates me'

With that he disconnects the call...he moved and stood by the window ...last six months played in front of him, how when she left, he tried to contact her to apologize, to ask her to forgive him but she didn't responded once, how five months passed in the same way with the preparation of his and tanveer's wedding going on and how one day tanveer came to rashid requesting him to cancel this nikah as she love imran, her cousin, who too loves her but never got the courage to confess it before...she cried asking us to break this nikah as she won't be happy with this nikah, rashid too agreed for it seeing her true love for imran... That day he felt that his love was so weak because of which he couldn't tell rashid that he loved but he was helpless..., he decided to not to come in fornt of zoya ever thinking he deserve her anger but ayaan who unfortunately came to know about it as he saw his and zoya's pictures in asad's closet...it was ayaan only who send him here with najma even when there was nothing important formality which requires asad's presence
'i am sorry zoya, i know i had hurt you so much but i had to do what i did...i had to say yes... i hope that you forgive me...this guilt, it's killing me..i can't take it anymore...' he whispered staring at nothing, and finally went back to his bed and called it a night

Next Evening
Asad and najma returned home after finishing final formalities, najma was so tired so she just went inside her room while asad sat on the couch..he closed his eyes for a while but open it hearing a door bell, he went and opened the door to find a boy in his mid twenties 'hey young man...can you please call zoe...?' asad looked confused 'ohh i am haider ca..' the guy continued getting that confused look from asad but was stopped by zoya who came outside 'finally you are here..i was waiting for you only let's go' she said coming to him 'yeah, let's leave but but zoe who is he? ' haider asked pointing at asad 'oh he is asad...abu's friend son from India...and Mr.Khan he is haider, my childhood friend...' she introduced them to eachother..the coldness zoya showed to asad wasn't unnoticed by asad but he tried to ignore and shook his hand with haider 'waisa asad she is lying...i am not only her childhood friend but i have one more relation with her...' haider said winking at zoya 'oh please...engagement hadn't happened yet...4 days are left still.' zoya rolled her eyes
'engagement ' asad asked shocked 'yes engagement Mr.khan...ohkay let's leave now haider, otherwise we will be late for meeting...' zoya remind 'oh han...let's go...humzi me and zoe are going' haider shouted for humaira 'yeah ohkay' she replied from her room 'humzi make sure dady take his medicines on time ' 'ohk api' and then the duo leaving asad in shock

'hello ayaan...ayaan wo...zoya...' asad stammered as soon as ayaan picked up his call
'ya Allah bhaijan what happen...did zoya said anything?' asked ayan
'ayaan zo...she is getting engaged in next four days...' he cried
'what? Bhaijan did u told her? '
'no...and i won't even tell her, she had moved on'
'then go and do it...you know na that she loves you...just tell her about the truth...about tanveer and whatever happened last month and then we will accept whatever she will decide , but just try once'
'but ayaa..'
'no if'a and but's bhaijan...do you want one more reason to regret later in your life? You already feel guilty and are regretting for saying yes to abu and now this...bhaijan don't forget that this all mess is created by you omly so don't be a loser and face it ' ayaan said..
'fine ayaan, i will talk to you later...' and he hunged up
While asad just sat on the bed lost in his thoughts on the other side of the world ayaan apologized 'i am sorry bhaijan...i know my words would had hurt you but i had to say this so that you won't return without trying...i can't see you regretting about it all ur life...' he thought

Finally the meeting was over after 2 long hours..zoya came out from the meeting room and walked straight in her cabin, she took her purse and left the office, on her way she text haider that
i am going home and taking your car with me..will send it back with driver...Allahhafiz...see you soon :-)
'Zoya' She was unlocking the door when she heard her name being call out, she turned and was froze for a moment 'asad...' she whispered, from the day he is here she is trying to avoid to interact with him and he suddenly here outside her office and they are alone 'h..how did you came here?' 'i asked from humaira' he answered, she felt like running from there so she turn to sit inside her car only to be stop by him 'zoya please listen to me once...' he requested holding her arm making her turn 'kya sunu asad? Is there anything left to listen ?' she asked, pain clearly visible in her voice 'i know zoya you don't wanna talk about it but please let me say what i wants to...i can't live like that anymore, i...i want to apologize ' he said 'apologize? Really? Do you think it can heal all my wounds which You gave me?' she asked mocking 'i know it and how much i apologize won't help but plz just let me talk once'
'fine...say' she agreed leaning back at her folding her hands across her chest... He closed his eyes and inhaled a sharp breath 'zoya..i wants to say sorry for whatever i did to you...from whatever you went through..i am so sorry...i know that i always tested your patience and love for me and i don't deserve second chance to correct my mistake...but still i want to apologize..i am sorry...for hurting you...zoya before that day when you saw all this i tried to tell Abu straight that i won't marry tanveer and i love someone else but he didn't really noticed and that day my abu folded his hand in front of me requesting me to say yes...zoya i couldn't just say no when did all that and thus i gave in...i know you don't need any clarification because you had moved and...' he chuckled 'and Masha Allah you are getting engaged...but i...' she looked up startled what...i...engaged?' she asked i know you didn't wanted to share it with me but unfortunately you had to when haider came at your place..' he said
'wait a minute who said that i and haider are getting engaged? ' 'aaa...umm..' 'you assumed right? Just like before that i will easily forget you and move on? Well let me clear it Mr.Asad Ahmed Khan that it's humzi who is getting engaged to haider..' she said rudely while reliefed washed over him because even he compromised with the thought that she is engaged and is moving ahead in her life, he was in pain with the similar thought i am not like you nor i will be ever...and yeah you don't think about me and my future, think about you and your life...about you and ta...tanveer ' she uttered 'tanveer is no more my fiance ' he said looking down while zoya was shocked 'what? ' 'yes tanveer is not my fiance anymore...Abu broke our nikah last month because tanveer loved someone else...' 'i am glad she stood up for her love...and i hope you are done i have to go now...' she turned to leave 'i am going back tomorrow afternoon ' he said,,.she felt a dull pain inside her but managed to let it go 'good for me..' she replied without turning and finally set in her car and left
He stood there dejected, tears rolled down his cheeks continuously as he realized how much she hates him now...consoling himself he finally return back and went inside his room...he called and informed ayaan that his work is done now and he is coming back tomorrow..

'dadu ' zoya called out as she came in his room 'hmmm' he hummed dadu ami abu are home finally ..' zoya informed without any kind of happiness visible on her face him and sat beside him... 'i know' he replied and she nodded
'zoya..' he called out after sitting in few minutes of silence ' ji dadu' she answered 'what happen? Is there anything you want to share?' he asked, zoya who was trying to control her tears but the moment she knew that he had understood she burst out in tears and hugged him tightly 'dadu, he...he is leaving..he just said that he is not getting married to tanveer anymore...dadu he always do this...he just think about himself...he thought he is guilty and i don't forgive him so he won't even come forward and will ask for a second chance...his flight is in sometime and humaira said he is leaving now only...how selfish he is' she sobbed 'you still love him zoya' dadu asked or rather said 'i don't know dadu...but he didn't even demanded for another chance..did he ever loved me? How could he...?' she sobbed 'shhh stop now zoe...you know i don't like whenever you cry...acha now look at me' he forced her to look up and when she did he wiped her tears 'no more tears..now tell me what you want?' she didn't replied do you want to give him another chance...?' 'does he want it?' she questioned back zoya if you really want answers from him then you have to go to him and question yourself...' 'what if he will hurt me again?'
'what if he won't? How would you know if you won't ask yourself...?' 'i am scared dadu? I am scared from going through all this once again...i have no more stamina to bear another heartbreak...i would die if something similar happened this time...' she cried 'no zoya i know he had done very wrong with you but still i want you to go and talk to him, just for yourself...please bacha..what if he really needs one more chance..won't you...' 'is it really easy to let go of all those wounds which once i felt would never be healed? Can i really go and tell him that i want to give him one more chance...?' she asked 'yes you can...do it for yourself...and if...if he really don't want you anymore then i won't be sad...in fact this will give you that power to move on leaving him behind...i have full confident that if you will stop him then it won't be a wrong act by you...now be my strong girl and go and talk to him...' raiz said as if she understood each and every thing he explained...
Zoya went outside 'humi...where is asad?' she asked 'umm asad bhaijan left just few minutes ago...' 'oh ohkay...tell ami i am going outside for sometime...' she informed and rush outside to stop him, starting her SUV, she drove as fast as she could and reached there before take off...to her good luck he hadn't boarded flight yet 'asad' she called out making him stop in his tracks... He turned to check if she is for real or he just imagined her calling him...he was surprised to see her there 'zoya ' he whispered, she came close to him with tears rolling down her cheeks and dragged him on the other side 'zo...' he started but she cut him off do you really love me?' she asked han?' he asked confused i said 'do you really love me?' she repeated while he didn't uttered a word 'i asked you something asad...' she said and in response he nodded slightly ''what should i take it as...?' 'yes i do...i always loved you only...bu...' 'will you hurt me again if you got another chance to break mt heart?' 'no...i know i had hurt you and i am so sorry for that because i didn't corrected it before...i am sorry zoya..please forgive me...' he cried
*slap * a voice echoed , his hands reached at his cheeks and he caressed it 'ouch what was that for?' he asked shocked 'because you deserve it...idiot...no not you actually i'm an idiot because i fell in love with you' 'but zo...' 'no i don't want to listen any explanations... But i want answers that how can you do this to me?? Han tell me? just, one one time you should have asked me for a second chance' 'how could i zoya? I had hurted you so much that i don't deserve a second chance..i came here just to ask for forgiveness because this guilt of hurting you was killing me from inside...everyday i woke up, i wished that all this is just a dream...' 'but it wasn't asad..you had hurted me to the core...and then yesterday you said that it was tanveer who denied for this wedding and not you...even after knowing it i don't know why i came here to you but you know i just want an answer that why...? Why didn't you just stood up for your love?' 'zoya i tried...always but just one truth of my life forced me to accept abu's decision...' wha..what do you mean?' 'zoya abu told me tha...that i am not his own blood...he and ami...they adopted me...' ' no...' 'yes zoya...my mother was ami's elder sister...abu died in a car accident, 5 months before i was born, ami health was bad because of continuous suffering and pain and she couldn't make it up and died after giving me birth...that's when ami abu adopted me and gave me there name... That day abu said he always had considered me as there own blood but that day when i denied for marrying tanveer he told me and requested to me agree for it...i have no other choice left ' he cried..
Zoya felt his pain she just pulled him a hug to console him 'i am sorry asad...i didn't understood you...i failed in understanding you...you shouldn't be guilty in fact i am proud of you that you gave rashid uncle no chance to point out that you didn't respected him or all the love he showered you with...i am sorry' she whispered 'you don't say sorry for all of it...because you are the only one who had suffered in all this the most...' he said breaking the hug... ' ohkay fine...i am taking my sorry back' she said and he giggled 'han okay take it...' 'umm i guess we should go back now because you aren't going back now' 'you are requesting or ordering?' he asked to tease her to change the topic 'who do you think you are that i will request you han? I am ordering you carry your luggage and came after me..' she said and walked away with he following her with his luggage

Humaira went and open the door when the bell rang and was shocked to find asad back 'bhaijan you didn't went?' she asked after they came inside and she closed the door 'yeah..actually zoya told me that ami abu and ayaan are already coming here in a day or two for humaira's engagement so i will stay here only and will leave with them...' he said as zoya told him on there way back about rashid, dilshaad and ayan coming for engagement... 'oh acha...you two go and fresh up i will set table for dinner...' guided razia and went to kitchen , asya nodded and went to there respective rooms

Next Day
Rashid, Dilshaad and ayaan reached new York in evening, after resting for a while everyone met at dinner and later sat in the garden catching up on few things when zoya brought riaz outside with the help of asad 'gaffur, rashid i want to talk to you both about something' riaz said gaining everyone's attention, where ayaan was excited other were looking desperate, riaz took zoya and asad's hand in his and intertwined them 'my zoe and asad loves eachother and i am ordering you two to fix there engagement on the same day as humaira and haider's' there was pin drop silence, asya waited impatiently for there response and sighed in relief as all of smiled, finally
2 days later
Everything was fixed, along with haider and humaira asya too got engaged and nikah date was fixed after 6 months...
That day zoya was the happiest person among all, finally her dream came true, she got her asad, those wounds which she thought were unhealed are healed in the most beautiful way because her love, her asad is beside her and soon they will be together forever
so that was it, i hope i did justice to the story by giving happy ending...i know many of you wanted zoya to give a very hard time to asad but it would had lead to a sad ending which wasn't acceptable by you all especially my emotional blackmailers cum friends (affu, yash, yoyo, heenu mama, aish, ashi and jas) so i found it perfect for a happy ending...i hope you guyz will like it and i am sorry if i disappointed you guyz...
