A few days ago, Roopal (Gunjan) had asked for our feedback about the show on her facebook profile.. Here are my 2 cents(or maybe more 😆)
The show had started beautifully with being a story of two cousins of totally different personalities, born and brought up in extremely different cultures. For Rachna it was a journey to find her confidence and face whatever challenges life throws in her way. For Gunjan it was a journey to find a new home in her Mausi's place after her mother dies of Cancer.. It was a journey to adjust and adapt to the small town culture after having born and brought up in a place like Mumbai.. It was a journey to achieve their dreams of adolescence! Those initial episodes of the show are what I actually treasure..
From what I understand, the show was meant to show the facets of a teenaged life when there are many life changing decisions to be made.. when you want to be a free bird yet want someone to guide you! From whatever we have got in the past and that we are getting now, I doubt if this is what Sapne Suhaane Ladakpane Ke is!
Gunjan- Mayank fell in love, a villian (Charu) was brought in and even though Aanchal did a great job.. I could just NOT watch her on screen. Her scenes looked too forced to me.. And with the 3 come backs that she made, It was obviously good to see Aanchal in the show but her character, it just cringed me.. From loving Mayank which was pretty okay to harming the girl he is in love with and stalking them on their honeymoon to faking a marriage with a much older guy just to get close to someone who doesn't even like you.. What's more creepy than that?
Lets not talk about the earlier episodes!
Just before the leap..
I personally am pretty okay with mature love stories.. for me the age difference doesn't matter so when Piyush was brought in for Mahima, I was quite intrigued as to how their story line would progress since Kabir was quite elder to Rachna. Just like other love stories, a villian was introduced.. Kabir's so called girl friend (I forgot her name😉) I don't know about others.. but I couldn't stand her acting.. (Oh! Did she even act?? 😆) I have literally fast forwarded her scenes! I liked the whole scenario with Dadi-Rachna-Kabir and obviously the makers had to spoil it! They brought in Bittu who by the way was adorable! I liked Harsh's acting! Him liking Rachna and being brainwashed by her mother and maasi all of that unnecessary drama ugh it was too much for me! There was no head-tail of that storyline and Rachna without any investigation decided that she'll take care of Bittu which is okay since there was this brainwashing going on! That track was just left as it is! Why didn't Rachna try contacting Kabir or vice versa..? Why didn't Dadi confront her 'Nanhe'?The Gargs - they can decide to shun out Rachna from their life but not to help her clear out all of the mess?? And even after the leap.. if the love of Kabir Rachna was 'pure' they could have shown them reconciling, building bridges but no they bring in a new character for her.. Like really? Is she a toy or what..??
After the leap, I liked those initial college scenes between Gunjan Mayank.. It looked like the older SSLK for a while till they decided to bring in Adi.. The less I talk about him, the more it will be helpful coz I might just hurl out some abuses😡 That guy... ugh I think he should go back and LEARN acting!! -_-
Now in the recent episodes, I remember Mayank bringing in Bindiya to act like his fiance to just make Gunjan jealous.. Isn't her work over? Like Why the hell is she staying in Garg house? Is she by any chance their relative or what?? Not once have I seen any one of the Garg family ask her about 'HER' family! When she is not a part of the family, why the heck is being trusted on? Why is Seema who was the one who had actually pleaded Shail to not separate Gunjan Mayank 6 months ago, believing whatever crap Adi-Bindiya are telling her? When did she become so naive to not even trust her own son and go on to do something which is not even allowed in India??
This show which was once the only show I used to watch religiously has come down to a level where I may watch an episode or two (that too after fast forwarding a hell lot of scenes) after probably a month or so!!
Lets please have a healthy discussion on this thread since I'll be sending it's link to Roopal and team No Bashing/foul words please!
PS: This is my opinion and I'd like it if we stick to a proper healthy discussion and not instigate any sort of fan war! It is SSLK we are talking about and not any jodi of the show in particular!
