which state a participant is from because many people probably vote for a contestant blindly just based on whether the participant is from their own state or country. Then this stops being a "which is the better singer" contest and instead becomes "which country or state is better" and it annoys me when good singers get out or go to the bottom because the people that live in that participant's state/country don't watch the show or can't vote.
