Exhausted, the young Begum slumped on the couch. It had been a tiring day, meeting Salima Begum and Ammijaan then playing with Rahim, solving puzzles with him. She wondered why everyone choose this particular day!
"Adaab! Jodha Begum, Shehen Shah ne aapko yaad farmaaya hai"
And things couldn't get worse. Just some time ago she had completed her Evening meal ritual, what was she thinking when she agreed to this stupid wish of Shehen Sha's? But she didn't had any other way.
"Tum jaayo, hum aate hai!"
"Jee Begum Sahiba!"
Walking down the long corridor, Jodha Begum started thinking of what happened a while ago. Her fingers brushed his red, full and soft lips. "Oh! What is she thinking, Shehen Shah lips??" Jodha mentally smacked herself "Concentrate on your way not some lips!!" She thought adjusting her pallu properly while she entered the Grand KhwaabGhah of Jalal gracefully with her Lehenga border flowing beautifully.
Hearing the tinkling sound of the anklets of his nayi-naveli Begum. Jalal shifted his attention to her from the pierced window.
"Adaab Jodha Begum! Tashreef laayiye"
Jodha didn't wanted to but seeing the polite tone in which he saluted her she had to "Pranam Shehen Shah!"
Kahiye kis vishey ke liye hume yaha bulvaaya aapne?"
"Hum nahii jaante the Jodha Begum ki aap itnii Bhulakkad hai, aapne hume aapne haatho se khilaane ke manzoori dii thi" he cocked his eyebrow.
Jodha's head shot up a this, wasn't his Dinner going to be a grand affair. If so, Then why are they in HIS room?
Jalal clapped his hands twice and the very next second servants entered with all the food and materials. In nearly a minute everything was arranged for Dinner for two!

"Jodha Begum iss yeh Kheer bahot lajawab hai. Hume maloom hai kii aap iss se achii bilkul nahii bana saktii hai"
"Aapko kaise gyaat hai ki hum kis prakaar ki Kheer banate hai? Aapne toh kabhii hamari banayi kheer chakii bhii nahi"
In reply he smirked. That stupid smirk of his, how she wished to wipe that off his mouth. Seeing that it looked like he is challenging her, which he pretty sure loved to do.
"Aapki Ammi jaan bata rahii thi"
"Hamari Maa sa ne aisa kuch nahii kaha hoga, Avashya hii aap Asatya bol rahe hai"
"Agar aisa hai Jodha Begum toh kal aap apne haatho se hamare liye Kheer banayiye, tabhii nirney ho jaayega ki aap Kheer acchi banati hai nahi"
"Avashey! Tab aapko bhii yeh bata gyaat ho jaayegi ki, hum Kheer banana me saksham hai" She replied, her voice tinted with Rajput Pride
These Rajvanshis are very Proud, they never back off a challenge and will never backstab! they will kill you from front if they want to. They will keep their promise even till their death.
That's what sets her Rajput Begum apart from the Mughal ones.
It took a moment for Jodha to realize that her husband had tricked her into, doing something he pleases for him, yet again. Now Jodha wanted to smack her forehead.
Lifting her lashes up she glared at her husband. But he was less, he matched her glare with an equally passionate, naughty stare of his.
Huffing, his Begum stood up.
"Aagya deejiye Shehen Shah, hum chalte hai" Not looking into his eyes. To which Jalal almost exploded into a chuckle.
Grinning at the effect, Jalal stood up too. Jodha turned to go.
"Shabba Khair! Jodha Begum" and she froze confused at his behavior, something happened to her at that moment which she couldn't put a finger on. "S..Shubh Ratri Shehen Shah!" She turned his way and Jalal gave a smile. Not a Smirk, Not a Grin. A Pure-hearted smile, which could melt you down. Which softened the fiery Rajvanshi Princess' glares.
"Jodha Begum , kyaa aap aaj kii raat hamare saath iss Hojre me bitaane chahtii hai" The Devil returns.
She gave THE look and moved out of his Khwaabgah taking long strides leaving a chuckling Jalal behind. He really loved to rile up this Begum of his. The Glares and Looks she gave, they way she taunted and gave witty replies and still managed to stay alive amused him. There was some pull he felt with her, he felt like at home with her. With Jodha Begum he never felt alone, he felt complete.
