DevGa in EHT- My Assessment

Hello All,

As EHT is coming to an end,i just wanted to pen down my thoughts about Dev and Durga's journey in the show.

I started watching this show in july. Before that i had no idea about the concept of this serial or about the cast.The only thing which attracted me in the beginning was Dev and Durga's pair.They make such a lovely pair❤️ that i watch EHT mostly for DevGa scenes and Simone of course😊. Below are some of my thoughts about them:-

Dev/Bhuvnesh-Durga/Sanjeeda pair- As per me they really look like made for each other types.Both the actors have cute and innocent face due to which they complement each other so well on screen.I love all their scenes but some of my personal favorites are Devga dream sequences,their baarish wala romance and then Durga praising Dev for taking care of her
(bechara shy sa Dev really looked embarassed😆),Dev confronting Durga for Payal's whereabouts,DevGa romantic dance during Ganguly's party/dinner date,Durga showing her house to Dev and the car wala scene that precedes it,and their scenes during
hawan sequence.Even now a days when both of them hide and watch the evil Goenka trio fighting with each other, they look so sweet.I am really gonna miss all this😭.

Dev-Durga/Nitya relationship- The way CV's have shown Dev's relationship with Durga/Nitya is really awesome.In their relationship they went through all phases- friendship,hatred,differences with each other and true love. Dev was always holding on to Nitya even when
she herself believed that Nitya in her is dead. I believe this bond between them will bring back Nitya from dead.

Dev-Durga Romance- The best part is that DevGa relationship is no where near traditional romantic drama. Dev loves Durga/Nitya more than anything else but even after knowing the truth he is not forcing anything on her. More than love he respects her and gives her space which is amazing👏.I love it the way Dev looks at Durga but as soon as she looks at him he starts looking somewhere else so as to avoid any awkward moment for her.

Dev's Character- I have read a lot about Dev's character in different articles on the forum but i have a different perspective altogether. I think any serial cannot be all about revenge/planning/plotting only. You need some positivity in life and Dev really brought that positivity in the show.As Dayal said in the initial episodes that Durga will have a life even after her fight with goenka's is over thus she should have someone in her life who can be with her in
all ups and downs.Dev didn't hinder Durga's plans as such because she always did what she had to do.Even when Shaurya tried to kill Dev it was because of Durga only as she created that situation. CV's always kept Dev-Durga sequence in parallel with her fight for justice.All Dev wanted was to know the truth and then get justice for Payal/Nitya.Its true that he never planned/plotted anything and confronted goenka's straightforwardly but in my opinion this is because he is more like Nitya. When Nitya was fighting she also challenged goenka's directly but
during the trial she saw their real faces and thus as Durga she fought Goenka's in their own way.Dev knew that Shaurya raped payal and deep down felt that his family covered everything up but he certainly had no idea to which extent his Chote Papa/Choti Maa and Shaurya can go😡. And its not easy to go against your own family unless you know the whole truth.If he had known the truth, he would have supported Durga the way he is doing now.If the show had just few more weeks they could have shown Dev-Durga's combined effort to bring Payal to justice in much better way.

Bhuvnesh as Dev Goenka- Bhuvnesh has very less experience as compared to other actors in the show.Keeping that in mind, in my opinion he has done a pretty decent job👍🏼. His personality totally matched with his character.With his looks he paired well with Sanjeeda. Also, he has innocence and gentleness in his face so his screen presence never looked dominating over female lead which is what Dev's character is all about, a supportive and balanced partner to Durga.The actor has got lot of potential and i would love to watch him in other projects really soon😊.

I just watch one serial on TV and that's EHT. If they had just 3 more months i am sure they would have winded up the serial in much better way and hopefully i would have been able to watch more DevGa scenes, buttt no words for Star Plus 😡. I am going
to miss EHT, Simone and above all Dev-Durga😭😭. CV's atleast pleaseee don't kill Durga for Dev's sake else all the time i devoted to watch this show would be a waste😒😔.

Nice analysis. You have summarized it quite well, though I would have preferred to see a much better emotional connect, though the last few scenes it is coming out quite well. I am planning to make another thread on it after the final episode.

Hey, I totally agree with your analysis. With regards to Dev's character, our perspectives are identical. And I really liked the way you justified his actions. Everyone has their own opinion but I was still overwhelmed with the number of negative posts directed towards him. Reading your post was very refreshing.
