After watching YHM's latest episode today (17/12/14) people are bashing Ishita's character sketch left, right and centre. I assume the audiences expected Ishita to weep in one corner after being shown the divorce papers.
What they fail to comprehend is that Ishita is a woman of today's era. She isn't alone; has the support of the entire Bhalla family. When her family is there to anchor her, why would she cry like there's no tomorrow?
Ishita has questions to ask her 'Ravan Kumar'! She can't remain silent and build up an ocean of emotion and turmoil within her heart. Ishita is a strong and independent woman. She's practical and knows how to handle her feelings and channel them correctly.
Life has been a challenging and cruel journey for Ishita: Subbhu shunned her out of his life because she couldn't give him a child. He thought that a child is the one being which binds and roots together a husband and wife once their relationship goes stale. He had even gone as far as saying that this factor not even being existent made their relationship futile.
Yet even with her shortcomings, Raman accepted her. He didn't once think that this woman will never be able to give him THAT joy of fatherhood again! Love isn't meant to be; it happens.
Then what was that reason he made this abrupt asinine decision as to DIVORCE her?
Ishita WANTS answers and she DEFINITELY won't suffer in silence!
Pain needs to be channelled... Ishita is expressing her angst as anger.
Today ISHITA has become 'Jhansi Ki Rani' in the true sense!
