Hello Folks😛
My exams are finally over so now I have time to come here more often.😉
So since Beintehaa is over and I had time to kill, I thought about watching some other shows that were on air. And let me tell you I was left with disappointment.

I had one major problem with almost every single show out there...the Female Lead.🤢

Some of them were annoyingly the mahaan, crying type.
Some of them were the ideal bahu types.
Some were the double standard types.
And the list goes on and on.

When this happens, I remember once again why I loved Aaliya so much.

She was traditional yet modern.
She was respectful to all her elders but that doesn't mean she would listen to them even if they are wrong.
She stood up to anyone who questioned her self-respect but she always did it in an appropriate manner.
When her actions are taken wrongly and people haul insults at her about it, she doesn't quietly cry and bear all of it.Nor does she expect her loved ones to be mind-readers that will understand despite not telling them anything.
She always fought her own battles and at the end of it, she always came out strong.

Aaliya was unique. I loved every single aspect about her.😭
I probably will never see such a beautifully written female lead again.😭
I am missing Aaliya so much. I am missing Beintehaa so much!😭😭😭

P.S. Sorry about my rant but I couldn't help getting this off my chest.😃

Saheba 🤗 I know exactly what you mean. I've tried to give other shows a try and I just can't help coming back to BI and how much I appreciate the fact Aaliya was not your typical female lead. There are so many scenes that stand out in my mind, right from the start the way she fought back when she learned about Zeeshan and the dowry demands, the way she did not become Zain's doormat when he welcomed her to hell, the way she stood up for her self respect after Zain divorced her and wanted her back and then stood against HN. The list is endless but those are some of my favorite. I just love her and I love the fact BI brought out such a refreshing female lead who can have the qualities one looks for in a daughter, a bahu, a wife without making her mahaan, OTT or butchering her beyond belief because she is portrayed as the ideal woman that one must idolize because she can do no wrong.

In BI, it was never about the leads being perfect. Aaliya had her flaws but she was a character you could love nonetheless and respect.

Nice to see u back in action SAHEBA...😛
You have said it all...and must say Aliya...will always be ONE IN A MILLION...😳
I just hate the rona DHONA type of other bahus and the confidence which ALIYA had since the start till the end was just truly cool...
She is independent...that's what has made her unique...the way she handled each and every negative except ZUBBU I think we don't see that in other shows or I am just too much addicted to BI...😆

Aliya was is and always will be the BEST...and missing her loads...😭

Saheba missed u...
Aliya is one character that i will never be able to forget she has becum a house hold name despite the show going off air, she has becum a role model for many pple Aliya is way different from other leading ladies she has her own ways to deal things even when she was getting married to Zeshan n he accused her of havin an affair with Zain she spoke up n took a stand for that she has answers to everything and she will mke sure tht no one will point a finger on her character.

Aliya has shown zains place and made sure she doesnt becum a door mat when zain hated her shes alwayz tooken a stand n herself respect during the talaaq she was hurt n crying i too was crying with her bt she stayed strong even after the talaaq when she went to Hyderabad she never let her pain show on her face she became even more stronger than she did before n she never let anyone walk over her..

the best part that i liked was when zain realized his mistake and wanted Aliya back in his life the whole track n Aliyas Challenges she was hurt inside seeing zain in the state he was in bt stayed strong as she wanted him to realize hw she felt when he gave her the three talaaq ..

Preetika portrayed Aliya soo well tht i applause her n BI was n is the best show ever miss everything...

Hi Saheba finally ur back lol
Great post. Aliya has been probably one of my favorite characters on Indian television. Usually tv shows use this formula by making the FL all selfless and crying all the time so we feel sympathy but that isnt real and Aliya really was more close to reality. She stood up for herself and her family against the guy she was gonna marry. She was realistic about being pressured into marrying a guy she didnt like and wasnt a doormat to Zain especially when he hated her and wanted to make her life hell. Even when she realized how her MIL and SIL sabotaged her she dealt with is smartly without disrespecting anyone. Loved her relationship with Usman and at times i've felt they were very similar as well as how similar she and zain were as individuals. Even when she went through all the blame and pain she kept her dignity not begging anyone. I really loved Zains redemption track coz aliya was totally right to make him work for her forgiveness her self respect was very important to protect and cherish. Loved that she was forgiving even when we didnt want her to be, aliya always has put her family above anything else and even if it meant protecting and forgiving even the her loved ones who wronged her coz Usman would have done the same. Aliya was not just the typical good FL who had a strong belief in faith and loved her family unconditionally but she was smart and always went with her gut feeling. Yeah she made mistakes like any human but her faith never wavered. Aliya really represented the now young woman of today and can really be considered a good role model for many.

Hi Mandy 🤗Exactly Mandy, you said all that I wanted to say. I don't know why a female lead can't be portrayed realistically on indian television! And like you said the best thing about Aaliya is that she is not perfect, she has her flaws. And she admitted her mistakes when she realized them as well like when she gave Usman those unani medicines behind everyone's back. I want Aaliya back😭 I want Beintehaa back.😭

LOL thank you Habeeba.😃 It feels good to be back.😉
Yes girl there is no other female leads like Aaliya out there.😭
And yes she was also the one female lead whose character didn't get butchered. She stayed unique from beginning to end. She went through a lot of phases throughout the show but she still stayed the same Aaliya that we fell in love with at the start of the show. And Pree portrayed Aaliya perfectly.😛

Aww thank you. It's good to hear that people still remember me.😳
I agree with everything you said and yes another thing that I have never seen a female lead do is to give their husbands a hard time after they apologize for their mistakes. It annoys me to hell when I see the female lead just cry and easily forgive their husband who ruined both their lives because of his ego or stubbornness. But Aaliya wasn't like that. She still loved Zain but she made sure that Zain understood exactly how deeply he hurt her. After that she was able to forgive him. I am sure I will never see such an awesome female lead ever again.😭

And yes Preetika portrayed Aaliya perfectly. Beintehaa was truly unique and it's so sad that it was taken away from us so early.😭
